    Now I want a bratwurst. We had a winter solstice celebration,my young 7yo sang with her classmates. No beer nor bratwurst. Never had a German bratwurst,only had them served at Victoria market in Melbourne. Cheers juls
  2. Intentional Resting

    Hi gergelim, This an interesting concept,similar maybe to what have recently experienced. Focussing on the ailment,without expectation,seems to alleviate,self healing? Combined with homemade qigong,feel very well thankyou. This 57yo,was recently given about five ton of rock,some were heavier,but around 20kg average weight of each rock. They were free,just had to pick them up,moved in four trailer loads with help of and well paid rock owner's son Dane. Before commencing checked we had a supply of nuerofin,as the expectation was of multiple body ailments,accrued in this very physical task. So in examining these thoughts prior to commencing,I decided to experiment using and applying qigong,when shifting the rocks. First load,all good,breathing in energy,moving rocks effortlessly,then unloading,still more energy vacuumed up from everywhere,the hillside,Sky,from all the mammoth trees nearby,second third load,still cruising,load unload,last load,finished,all up,about two hours including driving the five km to and from. There was a bit of bravado in keeping pace with this young 20yo helper. Never did use any anti-inflamatories,no aches and pains,about a week later felt some mild muscular sensation,not pain really more like the feeling you have when you have had a good work out. This was a change in mindset and use of external energies,getting the work done with small negatives. Any task should be scrutinised,watching for hazards and bodily impact. This is a new aspect of personal mindfulness for this old man. Anyway hope you find this story interesting. juls

    Namo Amitabha Buddha Theory of posted exercise. As humans we are children of this planet,born of stardust,the present consciousness of this our earth. Just as the animals and fish and insect are aligned with this planet and its magnetic field. This is the purpose of this exercise,to help you align with planet earth. This planet is our mother and father. Health benefits are there,as with all practice,it's up to you. Nil negatives as yet,does make you smile even laugh,haha.     Namo Amitabha Buddha Hi all, No instructor,how liberating,we love it. This existence is illusion. Qigong is one subtle way to adjust the illusion. My new self arranged practice; Sit,hands on knees,focus palms,soles of feet linking directly to earth centre. Inhale,draw magnetic energy from top of head and from planets core from soles. At peak of inhale,all energy circulating skull like a ball. Exhale,tongue touching roof of mouth,energy back down to planet core,through soles of feet. Option 2 exhale,voiding all negative energies from hands feet top of head and back of neck,usually start with this first then go to energy connecting to planet core and sky. This is blissful magnet energy,drawn into top of head as is you were the base of a large mushroom. This exercise can be continuos throughout your day,drawing energy with every step.     Namo Amitabha Buddha Hi, Just as perceive the black splotch on the wall to be a spider,so do we perceive this world,this life as reality. Our lives have importance,also illusion and developers further giving us purpose,this to is illusory. Yes we live and function,fulfilling our roles,whatever they may be. This is the nature of illusion,we can't easily distinguish reality. It blurs,it makes sense,it makes no sense,focus on the splotch until we see no spider. This known world we reside,we even perceive time,all illusion,we perceive,at best only grasping threads of reality. What is reality,is it not an illusion,perceived with limited understanding. When the first aeroplanes,propellers blaring,smoking,first seen by native tribesman in remote districts,there was perception of gods,so began a religion a worship. This post is an illusion,focus carefully to see this splotch,and grasp threads of understanding. Blessings to all Humbly juls

    Namo Amitabha Buddha Hi dc9, Attachments,desires=overwhelming worthlessness,crushing emotions. Do we not live in samsara,this world of illusion. Our transient lives,what is our goal? You are your own master,free yourself,releasing desires and attachments,you will be at peace. There is meditation in many activities,not just sitting,eg gardening,woodwork,or walking,really any pursuits that captures us fully,and to our surprise many hours have past. Often only stopping due to interruption or needing to attend elsewhere.During such activities we have been consumed in activity,even forgetting to eat/drink,along with ourself. Observing this world using our senses,the people,skies,trees,animals,we can learn,they teach us. When a master is found,willing to teach.How long will it be,before we begin to have doubts of such master. These are thoughts inspired by opening post,my thoughts. Blessings to all Humbly juls

    Namo Amitabha Buddha Hi Karaja, Your symptoms sound very uncomfortable,esp.gi. Have you tried fasting for two or three days,maybe not practical if you are thin build. If you have a few pounds overweight,then maybe worthwhile. Just drink plenty,water,tea,no juice. Then when you start eating again,boiled rice salt and lemon juice. Gradually return to normal diet if all goes well. Get well soon. Humbly juls

  17. I am a narcissist, to a significant degree

    Namo Amitabha Buddha Hi Songtsan, Yes we all have narcissistic traits. It only becomes a problem when everyone is ready to go, but they have to wait because their friend can't move from the mirror,haha. A personality disorder takes many years to develope,usually without insight, often learnt behaviour as unconscious defence mechanism due to environment. Even if you were or are narcissistic and this is confirmed after assessment. It's really only a problem if it effects,work,family or your ability to have meaningful relationships or intermacy. You have already made the biggest first step to treatment,congratulations you are on the road to recovery. Most people with personality disorder,are unaware of their disorder Med students are just as bad they catch everything they study,haha. Blessings Humbly juls

One brain cell belonging to a being yet unknown,and this being is still an embryo within it's mother. Or like one universe within another within another. Would such a senario qualify as a paradox?     Namo Amitabha Buddha Hi tamba,thank you for your reply. Your experience is vast,practicing qigong for over 50 years,you are at peace. Myself having only discovered qigong 4 months ago,my experience is small. Yes I also studied karate when 14 yo,and considered it helpful with many things in life. My most special experience is meditating whilst standing in company of my cows,they teach you patience,very calming. Since starting qigong,I noticed improvement in my physical health,have you also had similar experience. You are retired,what sought of work were you doing?     Namo Amitabha Buddha Hi Josama, There is a possibility that you struggle with your subconscious. Your dialogue indicates overthinking,your mind full,unrested. Make peace with your subconscious,meditate,allow your thoughts to empty. Forgive yourself,release all anger,be at peace. Your life is now. Recognise your true self,be that person. Neuro-transmitters within the central nervous system are wonderful when influenced by positives. These chemicals activate us into creativity,arts,problem solving and more when in balance. When these chemicals are out of balance,we change our perspective. One motivating número- transmitter,dopamine,helps us enjoy life,to much,we get high,thoughts become bizarre,irrational,we become suspicious.Perception is altered,thoughts develope not in keeping with reality. Not enough dopamine,we become lethargic,lack interest,reduced function. Sometimes medication can be helpful,either short term or long term. When the CNS is out of balance,you are high,can't sleep,mind whirling,voices perceived,how do we get relief.It offers us a chance to reset ourselves. Medication can help,sedating,dopamine blocking agents,offers respite,sleep,a chance to readjust,paranoia is diminished. Drug use distorts our awareness and perceptions,sometimes positive. Sometimes these distortion are long lasting,medication can help. If anyone is experiencing thoughts of self harm,there are services,talk to someone.
