Hi cohomology, You have touched on a number of subjects,so will keep to simplicity. Whenever looking to come up with an idea or solution to a problem, observations are essential. Past experience is also helpful as is YouTube. Then as is often the case trial and error also works.

Hi allinone,Thanks for your reply. Again you have only hinted at your situation. Can you give us more clues?
-
Hi allinone, I understand that you "don't really care what you guys think of me.You are nobodies to me." When you say "I don't care",I hear,I do care, and much of your comments are a storm of getting to know everybody. Unconscious ego defences are at play within us all. Anger and anger management are also at play. Your reply post hints at a personal illness,if this is so,please give us details,I am sure someone within this forum can help. Sincere best wishes to you.

Matter exist independent of our minds. Sure we perceive our world with use of the mind. Eons before the mind, matter existed, otherwise, who was born where? It is an interesting circle of logic and awareness. matter does have an illusory feel to it,have not quite worked out the Houdini performance. Does that put us back in the matrix looking for "glitches"?

Pied currawong,voice;"kadow-kadang"or"curra-wong "loud whisle;"quok". The pictures give no idea of how loud a flock of currawong(spelt it wrong before).
-
Well before there was the mind there was no mind. Matter existed even before the mind had been born. So matter does exist outside the mind.

Today I have sore feet, well I came across some mention of bagua circle walking, curiosity finally to hold, yea had heard of bagua before usually in triagram symbols, but really still have little knowledge about this energy circle. Well after reading a bit, came across this 8 circle 7 circle change direction 6 circle change direction, right down to one circle changing directing with each number, equals 36 circles. So anyway tried it out,mud walking then normal walking very interesting energy created, felt light footed,it was meditative, much energy circulating, circling energy from sun to earth in a larger energy circuit, head to foot, surprising routine. Unexpected sore feet, really sore, can still walk alright, new practice new soreness,"can we do it again, please."

Hi Taomeow, Tea doesn't know it is in a tea bag,and produces tea no less tasty to drink. Years ago when having stopped alcohol intake, started having the occasional apple cider, just one in the evenings. After a time, there was much reflection on this cider habit, and it was expensive, even at one drink daily. Then came across this fruits of the forest, red tea with hint of apple, with sugar tasted very much like my daily apple cider. So switched to tea only, daily after lunch, evenings, can have 4-6 cups, gets me just as high and can regulate my own sweetener. I say tea only after coffee mornings, that is if coffee mornings don't become coffee afternoons and evenings, things tend to escalate.

Hi allinone, Where have you been? Warm fire produces warmth,it is not an emotion, nor is pain an emotion. You choose your emotions. Nobody can choose for you.

Stop the Yulin Dog Meat Festival in China, Permanently!
AussieTrees replied to Golden Dragon Shining's topic in General Discussion
Maybe we should all be a lot kinder to dogs, next year is the year of the dog, wonder if this change the plight of the yulin dog? 2018 is an Unlucky Year for Dogs According to Chinese astrology, people in the year of their birth sign (本命年, běnmìngnián /bnn-ming-nyen/ ‘origin (of) life year’) will offend Tai Sui, the God of Age in Chinese mythology. They are believed to have bad luck in this year. Therefore, Dogs should be more careful about all aspects of their lives in a year of the Dog. The next Dog year is 2018. It starts on Chinese New Year (February 16). Read more on How to Be Lucky in Your Ben Ming Nian. http://www.chinahighlights.com/travelguide/chinese-zodiac/dog.htm Fortune in 2017 — Not Good Probably won't change, not sure if it will be a good year for dogs, this dog has a few concerns haha -
Hi JCB, Welcome.

Outside the bums, there is no discussion of the way, never met a master of qigong. So many of energy practice students learn from the Internet, books,DVDs etc. Starting on your own is just a little awesome,"what am I doing?" So far that has been the hardest part, starting, but once you do,your on the path. Imagine that, being your own master, well it's easy to slack off, haha Then there is guidance, trust your Buddha nature, request guidance from Buddha. Anyways unlike others this student is not so distraught or concerned about being reborn again and again. Surely we are having fun, there is no gradings, and your master must surely be a fool. Then when everything goes wrong, you drop dead, what's that all about?why do we do that?is the universe really infinite or is that a camera trick?

Off topic, well not really. Growing and eating our food is less common than it once was,the era when nearly everyone had a veggie patch. There is much serenity developed, tranquility flows naturally, universal energy is freely available making any work effortless, the absorption of the self which dissolves into the earth, this is blissful. Did a couple of searches, couldn't find any topics on gardening,so here we are. Mostly everyday we do a little bit around the garden, watering or weeding. It is springtime, already got, pumpkins, some tomatoes, cucumber and watermelons growing, they still very small, fun watching them grow. This year started using a small greenhouse cabinet, helps start the seedlings early. Anyone can reply.

Obligation in life, are best when there is a personal connection either with your family or your community. It is easy to not get involved, but we do get involved when it matters, using the example.(used it before apologies) The Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe had sought the removal of the two dams since they were built. One hundred years later the elwha river was freed of the two dams. Despite not being involved it is not hard to imagine, when objecting to renew dam lisense in 1968,there frustration disillusionment. From disempowerment to 2011 success helping to return of the salmon. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elwha_Ecosystem_Restoration Modern communication allow us to see the world as it happens,it is really incredible. Can we personally help everyone?,not directly. We can get involved in things that matter to us or our local community, often through community services paid for by you the tax payer,or directly as volunteer with habitat restoration planting native flora. And changes do happen, imperfect, impermanent as we are.

We get water from our roof, collected in several water tanks, one concrete 10,000 gallon others are plastic smaller. Several times during summer,we have run out of water, that's manly when the kids were younger. Teenagers tend to shower for ever,we have a family joke called showercation. Anyway if we run out of water,we would get water delivery for about $250 each time of about 5000 gallons. 2006 drought we had two deliveries, have not run out since then. Recently with kitchen renos,we installed a micro filter to the cold water kitchen tap.

The house we live in,is large old fashioned. Moved from Melbourne on the back of three trucks,by the previous owner his wife and ten children. Easily a hundred years old, came from Balwyn north. Several of the houses in our street and more within the little township have been relocated from elsewhere. Plenty of need for upgrade, insulation, replastering, remodelling, painting,we just finished renos on the kitchen. Just one shower room left to refurbish, then we would have done the whole house. We moved here in 1992 so it has been a while. Much of our renovations has been without permits, mainly to save thousands in inspections, and cause we didn't really have any fixed ideas on what we were going to do,so we just started knowing it was going to be different. You can get away with that sought of thing in the countryside away from the burbs
