Yes, non dual but instead of knowing the sutra is talking about the Buddha being able to see the past lives, etc.. of others.

    Edited..

Thank you Apech. That goes along with my own understanding. I also think/believe that it is that desire to help others that helps a Bodhisattva move beyond certain stages as well.

Does immortals have the differentiation that we have discussed unlike a Buddha?
  5. Merging and guru yoga

What tools or more potential is needed if everyone is seen as a perfect Buddha?
  6. Merging and guru yoga

Very well said and thank you CT. Maybe one way of looking at it is to say that along the path one gains all sorts of abilities such as knowing but even that must be let go of because it to is an illusion.

Interesting, I thought that was a misquote regarding Bodhisattva's staying back. I have also read where they seek buddhahood to help others. Now, we are touching on an interesting topic with your "Full" Buddha. So, there can be Buddha's that have differentiation? Also, doesn't the sutra that I linked to show that a Buddha can see such issues and differences?

Thank you CT but I would have disagree on your limited view of a Buddha’s knowing and abilities. I think the following will help explain where I am coming from. I would agree that there is nothing in Buddhism saying a Buddha knows everything about everything. I am not saying that either or trying to say in anyway that, that should be some kind of goal of attainment. This first one is really good with regards to knowing. He knows how many beings there are and there differences.. I found this to be a very interesting Sutra as well. https://www.accesstoinsight.org/tipitaka/mn/mn.012.ntbb.html

No, I don't feel those flows anymore. I integrated them you could say. Do you need to concentrate and feel your arm to "know" it is there and to pick something up? True clarity is a knowing, it is you.. you just know. More what I meant is back then I would feel the flows and thinking of someone I could feel the individual flow of that person, big flow, small flow for example. I could separate them out. With intent, i could feel that flow and will silence and they would experience it (that is not something that I do anymore, more of an experiment). Such separation is dualistic. There is a me and them as a flow. There should be no such duality. It is a lack of clarity that creates such separation. Isn't a Buddha Omniscient? That is the clarity of knowing that I am talking about but suck at

To me there is a big difference between someone just noticing silence they already had and compared to working with someone and experiencing mind numbing silence. Silence deeper than they have experienced before. There is also a difference between someone noticing energy and then feeling it all around them, like a whirlwind around their body, or all of a sudden feeling energy flowing through the heart and feeling joy/love with it. Yes, it is all them, just some help to take one a little deeper to notice it more and to help them let go of issues to realize it at a more conscious level.

Found some interesting stuff from Norbu - Collected Talks Vol. 3 This next part is rather long but very interesting.
  12. Tantra...

What is form? What is this world? How can a Buddha create different worlds/pure lands? Maybe we should start there?
  13. Tantra...

So, when everything has been cleared it's all emptiness?
  14. Maybe this will help with regard to Taoism. I really like it anyways
  15. Yes, greater than the bliss of silence of the self.
  16. Yes, there are things much greater than the bliss of silence
  17. Tantra...

If we are all Buddha's, One like Siva.. however you want to say it but it is unrealized in the present moment. How did that happen? What is the end state for your tradition?
  18. Tantra...

I was hoping to discuss clarity. It seems to be rarely discussed when in comes to spirituality. People talk about silence and energy but rarely do they mention clarity. One aspect of clarity to me would be this. Another aspect of clarity is more non-dual in nature and has more to do with knowing. An example of that would be the Avatamsaka Sutra

I am not putting forth that there is a Single universal consciousness, nor do I take the term to mean that as presented in the Lankavatara Sutra. It talks about it being a storehouse and that it is also the same as what i would call local mind. http://buddhasutra.com/files/lankavatara_sutra.htm If you want an amazing description of Universal Mind from a true master we would have to use the writings from Abhinavagupta in the book Triadic Heart of Siva.
  20. Tantra...

I mentioned the 3 aspects because the comment said that everything was emptiness. I thought it was important. From Dzogchen Teachings pg 59. From Dzogchen Teachings pg 61. The bolded is what I was getting at.
  21. Tantra...

I will admit I am not a Buddhist and with that I may take something from one tradition or another to help express my view on things so that we have common terms to work with. I am a big fan of the Lankavatara Sutra. It mentions Universal Mind often.
  22. Tantra...

I would agree. The fact one can get caught and be in a place as real as this one shows it is all of the mind, all energy and truly empty. I like the Dzogchen view of the 3 aspects of the base.
  23. Tantra...

I use this.. I am sure some others might be able to give you a more detailed explanation.
  24. Tantra...

To me all things are astral. It is very possible to get in a transmission where one is in a world that is as real as this one. You can touch, breath, taste, smell, everything is as real as what is as front of you now. At the absolute we are all Buddha's, but we can all admit we are at different stages of that realization. My thinking and I am happy to be wrong, which is why I am asking is that energy beings are those beings that have not realized Universal Mind. A mind only being is one that has realized Universal Mind. Apech, thank you for sharing your Egyptian knowledge. I love learning about their beliefs and have tried to read all your posts on the subject
