You are more than free to do so. I think the community of the bums as expressed in multiple threads see value in energy work between people in the bums chat. I am sure there may be some I would be interested in and other types I won't be. That of course would be my choice as it is everyone's as a bum.

I think everyone should be free to choose the ways and means of learning and experiencing energy. Be that by a teacher or whatever means they feel is right for them. I have also found that people who are interested tend to enjoy group energy practices so I hope that option doesn't get ruled out with the upcoming changes.

Thank you Prasanna. I found it refreshing to see that there are Christians that believe the journey is within.. That it is not just have faith and you will be rewarded when you die.

Hi Apech, My phone won't allow me to change the color. Very nicely said if if I may add to what you are saying. plural noun: Pharisees a member of an ancient Jewish sect, distinguished by strict observance of the traditional and written law, and commonly held to have pretensions to superior sanctity. a self-righteous person; a hypocrite. Mathew 23 :1-9 (KJV) Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, Saying The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments, And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi. But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. To me this is all saying look within and don't listen to those who only give you words...

Moving on, 39. Jesus said, "The Pharisees and the scholars have taken the keys of knowledge and have hidden them. They have not entered nor have they allowed those who want to enter to do so. As for you, be as sly as snakes and as simple as doves."

Clothes are attachments. When you are free of attachments and present like a child then you will truly see the son of the living one.

TPP was locked because they said it was a dangerous practice that lead to people overloading. I told them AYP can lead to overloading as well if not done right with many examples. I was told AYP does not lead to overloading and their were no examples. I left it at that.

Forgive me for coming late to the conversation. A powerful way for me in work for example. I use to be one of those guys who would look at everyone around me and say that is my competition. How can I be better than them? How can I get noticed? It would motivate me for about 10 minutes because it is hard to think of how to be better than a bunch of people. With regard to bodhicitta... The difference is how can I be of service? How can I help them? How can I help my team, my boss my department? Ideas are just that a thought. An idea isn't good if only I like it, it is good if others like it. I have realized everyone knows who's idea it is so making it a we instead of an I is powerful. When it is done to help others with no attachment and others buy in, it is beautiful. When you don't worry about you but promoting others that is leadership and bodhicitta. thinking of ways to help others is so much easier than thinking of ways to be better than someone. The ideas just flow, they won't always be good but it is the effort and when one works, it is beautiful. It is the easiest thing to do compared to trying to thinking of ways of being better than someone else. This is a start. Seeing with compassion where others are stuck looking at the I instead of from another's point of view is an growth from compassion. It is all bodhicitta.. It is a means of cultivating bodhicitta...

Lol, I am no wizard. I just met a really good friend. To understand maybe you could take up Dawei and Jeff's suggestion and then you could experience it yourself.

I have found that one first notices energy, then with increased depth one starts to feel pleasure from the energy.. getting lost in it. Next one understands and can begin to experience that there body is energy. That they are this energy. Next energy begins to flow through you, you notice it 24 hours a day flowing through your body and all around you. With increased depth the energy no longer comes from without but comes from within radiating out from you. Still this is separation, next comes being that energy, being the flows. After that is emptiness. That is a physical evolution, the mental aspect of the energy and how it changes to silence and flows and then residing in them is interesting as well. As far as what can someone do? Help others is really all I want to say. Hope that helps.

Hi Andrei, What is the cause of suffering? Attachment to our thoughts? It can be fame, fortune, a better job or a flat tire. It is all our thoughts aka attachments. Direct Introduction is where a guru introduces you to deeper levels of your self. In Dzogchen it is a direct introduction to the natural state. I have found it to be more of a gradual experience. The silence allowing one to let go of attachments. Therefore, someone can help others

I believe there are means of helping others. I agree it is not telling others what to do. Would you consider Direct Introduction a means of helping someone? I do.

You can't tell people how to change. As you have noticed it never works. What I have found is as I progress, as the practices have changed me, those around me have changed. The interaction between those around me is vastly different. You will then begin to see that people will notice the change in you and some will ask what are you doing. At that point the snowball just gets bigger and bigger.

Moving on, 36. Jesus said, "Do not fret, from morning to evening and from evening to morning, [about your food--what you're going to eat, or about your clothing--] What you are going to wear. [You're much better than the lilies, which neither card nor spin. As for you, when you have no garment, what will you put on? Who might add to your stature? That very one will give you your garments.]" Any thoughts?

That is very close to what I had said as well:

Any other thoughts for this one?

Oh they have thought of it, discussed it. I rarely go there anymore, I am still a moderator but even in the mod section when you are discussing things and people are saying how Deep Meditation is the Epitome of meditation techniques. It gets a little to much for me. So instead of pointing things out or disagreeing with them I prefer to stay away.

Welcome, I was just disagreeing with them for locking a topic yesterday. Welcome again to the bums. Tom

Looking at this from the perspective of working with others in a transmission based perspective. What I have found is that one thing that is required is for someone to be open to the experience. If they are not "One can't enter a strong person's house and take it by force". If one is open or subdued the ego mind or "tying his hands". Then one is able to help one let go of there issues, the "things" they think they need to be happy, obstructions or the loot within ones house.
-
This next one is a little more difficult. 35. Jesus said, "One can't enter a strong person's house and take it by force without tying his hands. Then one can loot his house." .
-
There is always more depth but I think it is talking about a teacher that has realized the light. If it is just talk, just theory it is like the blind leading the blind.
