  1. A True Sign of Insanity

First of all thank you all, for such sincere thoughts on the topic. I see there are many enlightened friends posting at this website. Any reading into another human through any technique is still, even for a great master, just an interpretation of info being filtered through the observer. If the person being observed verbally agrees that the observer is accurately reading them, then I might retract my previous statement. A man is bleeding to death; He states that the chocolate coming out of his skin is to feed the squirrels and that he isn't bleeding or dying. This claim is NOT less correct or accurate then the statement later written on the coroners report. Understand this and it then becomes possible to see how the greatest master of masters cannot KNOW what is going on in another. The most accurate observation of another is in reality only a refined kind of COMMUNICATION. Only oneself KNOWS what's going on inside them. This is the other side of the coin of "the great oneness" or Emptiness. It is most honest to understand this; to know that while our individuality is an illusion, so is our ultimate oneness; that all we can do is sincerely communicate and know OURSELVES totally.
  2. Spontaneous Movement : Form and Formless

There are 2 great Masters of an ancient tradition that teach Tandava and give its transmition; The Master and one of his disciples who is now at the Master level. They live in France and tour Europe. Message me if you want their names. One will be in NYC this october and I heard she was going to cali at some point too.
  3. For those of you still chasing "abilities"

Independent here. It's possible to accidently achieve awakening while chasing abilities or (as we all know) to inadvertently get ablilities while seeking awakening. It's also possible to have realizations and siddhis come to someone who has never heard of a spiritual practice while walking down the street. They say true awakening doesn't come until all seeking is put down. So we seek to stop seeking.
  4. Spontaneous Movement : Form and Formless

Spontaneous movement is awareness manifesting as action, conciousness taking form. There is a beautiful practice by the name of Tandava (the Shiva dance) done by the ancient Kashmiri masters that is ALL about this topic; Learning to let the body rest, even when in action, through being aware and free. The body becomes like a moving koan, understand this and come full circle- bringing mystical understanding into communication with daily life. In the dance you learn to emulate "enlightened movement" through letting it come from the breath instead of the mind. Done correctly, with the guidance of a competent teacher, this emulation is a powerful tool to start integrating natural spontaneous movement into our everyday life, so I guess it only starts as emulation and rthen turns into the real thing.
  5. The some reactions to this thread are great examples how fucked up people interested in spirituality can be. And before you even start-I'm already aware of how fucked up I am.

  9. Got Ego?

Thanks rain. Hundun's original was like that, but yes somehow...
  10. Got Ego?

From my understanding so far, "Ego death" isn't really a death, but a shift from 'the center of everything'- to its better place as spontaneous function, wherein Awareness will replace Ego as one's 'center of everything they do and think'. People are scared of loosing the association of ego as 'the center of everything'. If during a spiritual experience or exercise one approaches a taste of loosing this association, it can be scary as hell. Like being hung over the side of the empire state building by your ankles by gangsters that you owe money. A real sensation of fear- because "ego death" is a threat to every conditioned habit you've ever collected, the ego thinks its alive and though it isn't really, its taken the steering wheel inside the cockpit of your mind, and doesn't want to die!!! Funny thing is the only thing thats dying is our toxic over association with our individuality, not the actual individuality- which is both immortal and an illusion. p.s Theres' alot of bullies posting here (taobums.com), yes. But please keep in mind that its just a reflection of something painful going on inside them.. it might be cool to understand that.
  11. Thank you

Dear friends in the way (awwww you're not really in the way, I love having you around), I just wanted to thank you guys for being very cool with me when I first came on here acting like a maniac. I was raised a Buddhist and then graduated into a larger arena of openess that allowed me to learn from many different traditions and see spirituality in many diverse places from many diverse people and events. The real point of this message is to say thank you. Thank you everyone. I finally saw today that until I can develope REAL humility, the awakening I seek will be unavailable. Thanks for letting me have my fits of childishness before, and celebrate with me as I am learning to be kind. Gentle with myself, and gentle with others thank you, Son
  12. Chanelling qi through love.

When I look within I am lifted beyond the confines of time and space, in tune with a majestic, all-concience existence which mocks fear and laughs at death, compared to which seas and mountains, suns and planets, appear no more than flimsy rack floating across a blazing sky, an existence that is in all and yet absolutely removed from everything, an endless inexpressable wonder that can only be experianced and not described.
  13. Chanelling qi through love.

What's love got to do with it?
  14. Dear Bums, I feel being alive means having attained some level of enlightenment, That as awareness increases one becomes further enlightened. I've heard when kundalini is activated through the natural opening of the heart center, it is a much gentler experiance then when it is activated through working the lower centers. I hear a Kundalini awakening (a real one) is the mark of 'big enlightenment', where the body begins to quickly evolve, allowing awarness to soar to great heights and continously grow. [now the questions] 1 Has anyone here had this experiance? (please message me privately if you dont want to say here) 2 How many people have you personally met that you believe had it? 3 How many people alive in the world have this 'big enlightenment?? I've heard various #s on how many people alive now on earth. Of course its hard to accurately say, but please give me a number that you personally believe is close. Deep thanks to anyone offering sincere info. Thank you, Son
  15. Fortune Cookies

"Shiva opens her arms now to make sure I don't get too far, I may talk in my sleep cause I don't know who I am, I'm a little like you, more like the Son of Sam."- Elliot Smith I felt really lucky the day I got such a cool quote in a fortune cookie. The feeling coursing through my body was unusual, like a chemical taste all over my body, that constantly reminds me that waking reality is another layer of sleep. That I am awake in my slumber of disconnection, yet I desire a greater awakening, like an onion- as soon as I peel off one layer another awaits. I walk down the street and heels leave the ground first then suddenly my toes follow, as I float down the street I can't decide which is more shocking, that I can fly in waking life, or that people looking right at me with eyes wide open, cannot tell that anything out of the ordinary is going down.
  16. Avec moi rain? (pardon my french), sweet.
  17. Cake and tea? I thought you were talking about the red pill. Also- thanks Todd. I enjoyed the cabernet analogy.
  18. When Vernon Turner approached realization for the first time, he told his mentor 'if I didn't stop, I was going to die', he was advised that the next time it happens, to go ahead and die. He did, and it didn't kill him. However, you can certainly be kind to your body and gently avoid a situation that you decide is not healthy. Through gentleness we can really progress; gentle with ourselves, gentle with others.
  19. From my limited experiance Patrick, no one has to face anything alone. Honesty and love totally connects us to each other; Even in physical solitude we're not alone. I guess it's up to us as practitioners to continuosly cultivate honesty, even at the expense of, what is comfortable, the known.
  20. Meow, Thank you so much. There was a lot of very helpful information there. I know you are speaking on the matter from a place of wisdom and sincerity. thank you deeply -Son I would love to hear from others aswell. Anyone have anything for questions 2 and 3? thanks all
  21. Real Little Siddhis

Thank you Drew, I'm with you on this. But paradoxically everything is ALWAYS ego driven, and in the same instance NEVER ego driven.
  22. Happy to get a deep laugh out of you Mrs. Hansen. But if someone would communicate sincerely with me I would be deeply touched and thankful.
