Perhaps then the issue was not with Dylan Thomas, your Uncle or his wife and children ?

I think we went there during our tour. I was more careful to check out what was in the dim sum after seeing all those beetles, rodents, insects and snakes. The tea gardens in Shanghai were more my style.

I know a fair bit, but I don't have an entire 'put it all together'. It seems to me the world is influenced and manipulated by egotistical maniacs that want to mould everybody into their idea of a perfect model. It's like gardeners fighting over what should be created in a patch of land. Like a very dangerous version of a children's squabble in a sand pit. Sometimes the co-operate to damage a weaker opponent, then they are secretly plotting to damage those that are their allies. The rest of us are just the sand.

Can't catch them. They are crazy quick and good at hiding. You can use cheese to catch them, but then, it was easier to eat the cheese and tastier. Less bones in cheese.

It's difficult to match that up. Primarily because the Rothschilds were sponsoring the London School of economics which is a Fabian/left creation. Unless of course you think Ayn Rands work was actually a cover for collectivism. That's a big stretch, not impossible, but definitely a stretch. I often wonder about her relationship Alan Greenspan who seemed to turn from poacher to gamekeeper once part of the FED.

Its a belief that one has a universal inseparable oneness instead of individual identity. You are correct, identity cannot be thrown away, but it can be mentally suppressed. This can seem like a different awareness or perspective and in fact this is also true. It is possible to recreate ones reality in almost endless form. The important question is how do you know when you have the genuine reality ? Of course you cannot, because it is always altering- more experience, more concepts, more integration of concepts. The best that can be done is to ensure the inputs and integrations are as good as they can be made.

No one can fear death but they can certainly fear dying. It is life they fear more than the peaceful finality of non existence.
-
That's the only other option. If you aren't in it, then you can't support it. Not another brick in the wall.

It is the reality and you have one foot in the pyramid and one foot outside it. The way of compromise is no way at all, there is no commitment in it, just a dreary acceptance. Take the red or the blue pill.
-
I would say that there are those who are specifically streamed as a caste to dominate, those who act as zookeepers and the rest as human cattle. This is Platos pyramid. Yet, at the top of the pyramid exists a mirror. It is ones own mental ignorance that allows it to continue. Those outside the pyramid are mostly wandering in the desert trying anything to dispel the ignorance, but, like some hellish nightmare the path to understanding is paved with the illusion that ignorance is a better option. Those that do not dispel the ignorance will shortly find themselves back inside the pyramid and accepting everything with a blind sense of spiritual pragmatism. Effectively 'I can't do anything about it, please insert me back in the Matrix'. As Cypher said 'I know when I put this steak in my mouth it is the matrix telling me it is juicy and delicious, but after all this time, I think ignorance is bliss'

Well that's what you must do if that is what you want. I'm not for 'making the best' of living in misery I prefer solutions to limp passivity and placid acceptance. Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

You mean like the Jews went into the gas chambers to the sound of uplifting music and the promise of a better life, or the boys who volunteered for the First World War and would pretend they were older just to get a part of the great adventure ? Of course I was only doing spiritual things for gain. In order tomove from the present less satisfactory situation, to that which I believed to be more satisfactory. I suggest to you that is what everybody is doing and that you are no different to everybody. Eventually I even got it through my thick skull that liberation was freedom from the oppression of my own ignorance. If you wish to live in happy ignorance then I wish you the best in following your heart. I cannot say you will not be happier doing that than to dispel ignorance, we must all make that choice and no one can make it for us. By ignorance I do not mean it as an insulting slur, but as a passivity of mind.

I make no claims. I am a blind man with a coarse stick which I use to poke and prod the world.

Yet you do not know the words this ruler uttered and they have become embedded in your mind. An association has formed which is part of Lois. A concept of a King by such and such a name who has a philosophy that you understand, or perhaps agree with. Would you so easily take the fruit of a tree you knew to be poisonous ? Do you believe he was Solomon the wise ? The all knowing ? A relationship is formed within the mind, a connection is created. The wise ruler says such a thing and so it must be true. How could such a man be wrong ? It is not a question of right or wrong, it is a question of not accepting anything without determining its validity independently of any other beliefs. Unlearn everything and then scan it.
-
Then you are determined to follow that belief and that must be how it is. You wish to throw away your individual identity and become the cosmic oneness. I understand better than you know.
-
For a start he wasn't called Solomon, that came later. Things get added and twisted into history to become a fixation in the narrative. Question everything. Solomon-as he is known today-was an effective ruler. Do you think it have might been a good basis to build a narrative to support the modern ruling class as well as previous ruling dynasties ?

No, it's a choice to go into a shop or restaurant. It isn't a choice to accept the state. The usual reply to this is 'move'. I agree, everyone supporting statism should move elsewhere.

You will be aware of whatever you are aware of. Try as you might, if the future comes into your thoughts then the effort to stay in the present will become a contradiction. The contradiction of being unable to stay in the moment will become me its own sense of failure. What is in the future that you fear ? Why not talk it out here ? It can't be any worse than bottling it up. To hell with letting yourself sabotage your own happiness, get it out in the open and let's get some light on it. :-) I used to have a recurring image of a damp, single room basement with only a candle for company. This I believed was my future since I was 15 years of age. I was borderline suicidal and manic depressive for more years than I can remember right up until around 45. So, you aren't alone, many of us have had those demons circling us. If Tolle works for you then do that. I mean any raft in a storm. Just pointing out where the contradictions can be hiding. The other practical option is to take up a challenge per day/week. Something that really does push you quite hard. It will begin to increase your self confidence as you overcome fears and find successes. Look at what is successful in your life and write a list of them. Try writing a list of your failures and see how many there actually are. That also helps to see what you might be hiding from yourself. It seems there is a note of desperation in your writing ?

:-) Sol-Sun. Sol-o-Mon Sun on the mount. Some say Sun and Moon. Where have you seen that pictorial representation. A riddle within a riddle. Who's symbolism is it and when did it become mixed with our human narrative. To reign a thousand years is to capture the hearts and minds of those who stand by. Understand the statement in context of Solomon the wise. What is true and what is myth ? What do you think ?

Don't you believe that all paths are Tao ? Is Tao a special path on which only the chosen embark ? :-) Hearing the song but are blind to the bird.

Yes, anyone can awaken spontaneously, it's no big deal. However 'awakening' is merely the beginning and there is always the chance of falling asleep again. Liberty/freedom is the ending of the oppression of self imposed ignorance. This is beyond awakening, but awakening is the pre-condition.

There is sufficient here to show the damage was catastrophic: http://www.debunking911.com/WTC7.htm the suggestion that it was transformers and oil tanks in the area which sustained the damage that exploded. It is very conceivable that the fireman and Police had been told there was a likelihood of the transformers popping as 'blowing up'. The final 'proof' that conspiracy theorists bring out is the early announcement that WTC7 had fallen. Is it not entirely conceivable thatthey were getting confused reports in the heat of the moment. Jets flying into buildings, towers collapsing, fires rubble, total confusion and WTC7 was badly damaged and burning just as the two towers had been. The anchor gets the best information they have at the time. Maybe they were told it had fallen, or was about to. There are pictures showing it hasn't yet fallen, but that's in hindsight. I challenge anyone to have correctly identified which building was actually WTC 7 at that time.

Fascinating. I'm not a Randian Objectivist by the way and I find her books Turgid. I was just thinking of the Russian connection in that one, particular book. I know we aren't going in opposite directions even if it might seem like it :-) 'Rands incarnation' that made me laugh, it's the kind of thing I say. Got that from my Grandad I suspect. 'Enlisted' ? tell me more because I could certainly believe it, but then that's the way with many intellectuals. Murray Rothbard was enticed into the tentacles of the Koch brothers before he finally saw the light. It's easy to persuade intellectuals with a bit of flattery and friendship.

Totalitarian control. Turning the population into mindless robots through the state education system and the media. Controlling the message by controlling the definitions.
