http://sputniknews.com/society/20160618/1041544797/Hollande-Ban-Protests-Involve-Millions.html remember all this great 'workers rights' the eu is responsible for ? Remember how democratic it is ? Disappearing from the UK soon. I wonder how long it will be before Britain turns into a Dickens novel if we stay ? None of this is reported on the MSM-don't want to scare those voters-but the RMT Union are pushing to leave as they also know the score.

One day it might become a serious science.

I know what you mean Chang and I don't want to think that this is anything other than the act of a mentally ill lone man. I want that to be true because if it isn't......

Comments such as 'it's an attack on democracy' ? Brexiteer kills MP (daily star) The comments of politicians/media were to attempt to link a hard right group to those who are concerned about uncontrolled immigration. In other words should you wish to vote to leave, then you will be considered an extreme right racist. There's more than an even chance that this will have the effect of persuading some people that voting to leave is next to being a Nazi. It has killed the momentum of the leave campaign and might well destroy any chance of us freeing ourselves from this despotic Union. I

Having a philosophy is no guarantee of anything, the important thing is for it to be integrated-to contain as few conflicts as possible and to continually challenge its conceptions. Where am I ? How do I know it ? What should I do ? These are the questions a persons philosophy should answer.
-
I should point out that I have already had this discussion with Jim D in PM which I politely declined to continue which appeared to upset Jim. What appears to be misunderstood is that everyone IS using philosophy in this discussion, it is unavoidable, we all use philosophy whether we consciously understand where we have obtained those ideas or not. Philosophy and science are linked. Science is the result of philosophy-directly. It was Aristotle that created the logical process required for the birth of science and philosophy also inspires research within the philosophical umbrella of science. One of the best speeches given on this subject was by Ayn Rand at West Point 'who needs philosophy?'. It's available on MP3 and YouTube, but this is a link to the written form. http://fare.tunes.org/liberty/library/pwni.html

I'm saying free speech is the mechanism by which conflicting ideas/cultures/religions/races work out their conflicts in the open. The suppression of free speech breeds conflict and protects bad actors. Sunlight is the best disinfectant.

Neither of us know it, although we will certainly claim it.

...and Jesus didn't fair too well either. I seem to remember they crucified him, then stuck a spear through his side. Rumours of his resurrection have been exaggerated.

No one is discussing it as a conspiracy. Some mentally ill person decided to make a gun and murder someone-we don't even know of Joe was the intended target. The disgusting thing is that the remain side are spinning it as a conspiracy fronted by a leave campaigner who wanted to shut down the remain side. To discover Angela Eagle had tweeted that the man had shouted 'Britain First' when this had not been confirmed makes it worse. The press and the politicians on the leave side are the conspirators who have used the tragic, senseless murder of a young woman and mother, as a way to further their agenda. If a UKIP MP had tweeted that the man shouted 'Alu Akbar' without qualification then they would have been accused of trying to stir up racists tensions, but when the Government and its presstitutes do it ....nada. Angela Eagle should have been sacked, as should any politician attempting to link this to the referendum. It's sick and depraved. I knew our politicians were bad, I just didn't realise just how low they were prepared to stoop.
-
They are trying to link it. There are calls of 'an attack on democracy' and 'these far right Brexiteers need to be stopped'. This is a blatent attempt to try and shame the leave side but without the slightest evidence that this man was involved in anyway. Indeed, as yet there are still eye witnesses that reported that Joe 'stepped in' to prevent an attack on somebody else. The Government are attempting to control the narrative by stopping the campaign and even suggesting that voting might be delayed-without any explanation of what that means. This is a tragic and horrible crime, but it is one of a number of violent crimes that happen every day and none of them shut down the political process. What's being set up here, is that anyone daring to cross the rubicon the Government has set will be summarily shamed as a baddy. It means it's the Government that is controlling the flow of information and the activities of the campaigners. Didn't anyone ever hear 'the show must go on'. If the murderer had been a terrorist we would have all gone about our business as usual and put two fingers up at anyone trying to prevent it. The elite are losing and they have grasped onto an opportunity like drowning rats. Cameron and co are repositioning themselves in light of their shameless use of fear propaganda to terrify the public. It backfired and has made Cameron and Co look like idiots and tyrants, so this gives them a breathing space to try and claw back a sense of control.

You never appear to know what you're saying so we can all rest easy knowing your expertise extends to no specific area whatsoever :-) I await your opinion on future subjects-of which you know precisely nothing-with complete apathy and disinterest ;-)
-
Depends what you mean by 'attacker' ? Are you talking about someone physically threatening you, or doing actual bodily harm when you are going about your business peacefully ? I would recommend defending yourself if you can do so. Appeasement is submission and encourages the attacker to either continue attacking you or attacking others having seen how successful they are. All attacks are not 'calls for love' they are attempts to gain some value by force. That value might be obedience, appeasement, power, property or many other things the attacker wants from you.

just a reminder for everyone here, including myself

If they are initiation of force, or the threat of force against peaceful people. Blessings given to those who deserve our blessings. -
Vile use of this tragedy by the remain campaigners to try and make this suit there political narrative. There are really no limits these scumbags of the establishment won't go. I notice that MPs like Angela Eagle who tweeted 'there was a shout of Britain first' have been hurriedly deleted after several eye witnesses said that no words were shouted. Remain are a desperate, depraved, opportunist vampires crying crocodile tears over the tragic death of a young woman. If this is really all remain have, then they are morally and ethically repugnant and so is their cause. From Bob Geldof screaming abuse at working class fishermen, to George Osbornes punishment budget, Obama's threats and now this vicious use of a senseless murder by a mentally unstable, non-political psychotic being dragged around as if it's an attack on democracy. Anyone voting remain must weigh up the evidence of what now appears to be a fascist dictatorship of the worst kind and vote leave immediately.

He is drifting the rear. It's not normal motorcycling and he isn't a normal motorcyclist. It's really a stunt turned into a style. He is effectively in the middle of what we call 'a high side' the motorcycle is unstable, it is crashing and he is saving it through the turn by a process that most riders could not replicate. Usually, if you see a shot of a road rider doing this kind of thing, then the very next photo is of them flying through the air and the bike carrying on until it hits something solid.

A horrible tragedy. My mother ended up in hospital after being knocked flat on her back by a local who was well known for being mentally disturbed, but his behaviour wasn't intentionally violent, he was always panicking and running through crowds. My mum just happened to get in the way of his progress.

The guy wasn't well, he had been receiving therapy. Looks like an unfortunate incident and nothing to do with the referendum beyond it being opportunity.

We are all in Europe. That's not the question.

It seems this argument has become decidedly confused as these things tend to do. We can always find someone unhappy with their body image and sexuality as well as those who are perfectly happy with whatever they have chosen, or come outfitted with. Everybody gets judged, whether you have a big nose, have sex with your own sex, dress like a woman, have knitted eyebrows, are black, white, yellow or blue with purple spots. I can make observations on the first, but on the second, well, anyone who calls someone else a bigot for making a judgement is.....making a judgement. So, if you can't judge anyone, then you can't judge bigots, homophobes, or racists either, as long as they aren't initiating force. Where the lines are crossed is when some authority persecutes someone who is going peacefully about their lives on the demand of a particularly group. Why is this important ? Because as we have just witnessed in Florida and in the UK with the child sex rings, when we begin forcing non-judgemental toleration on a section of the population, then the result is blowback. If No one is allowed to judge people as the people they are, by their behaviour, actions, dress or words then we run the risk of encouraging the sort of violent actions of the protected group. I was stunned by the need for 'support amongst the LGBT community' to condemn this action 'against homosexuals'. What a croc of shit. This is what PC liberalism causes. Our intolerance and judgement should be aimed at those who have radical cultural differences. Instead of being forced to accept Muslims, we should be skeptical and mistrusting until they prove themselves as being peaceful neighbours. We don't need the hand ringing of the LGBT community, we need action against the perpetrators and the spotlight of free speech and judgement shone into the murky areas of concern. In the UK the police and council were so worried about being stigmatised as racists that they failed to act on a criminal gang of Muslims that used 'tolerance' to go about their activities undisturbed. How often does anyone concede that some of the most notorious serial killers have also been homosexuals ? That doesn't mean to say they are less or more likely to be serial killers, only that they are certainly well capable of it if given the opportunity. PC thinking, non judgement and tolerance increase the opportunity for those who are evil to act more effectively. It doesn't, of course mean that all Muslims are radical, but it does mean that they do have a faith which has tendencies to conceal those with more radical ideologies. It means that we can't know exactly which is which. We have to take a snapshot, a guess; our suspicions will fall on good and bad equally, we have to have our say regardless of bigotry or racist epithets. Each of us should expect no less in terms of judgement the further from the societal norm we appear to be. That does not mean we have the right to engage in any kind of force, aggression or violent action, but the right to speak freely is absolutely vital, as is the right to make a judgement.

http://ukippolicyforum.com/papers/5/download/The+EU+Rich+List.pdf No wonder the EU bureaucrats are fighting so hard. Finding a job in the real world isn't going to be as easy for them.
