The 3 Treasures - How to Guard the Spirit (Shen) from Leaks?
daomon posted a topic in Daoist Discussion
The Journey to the West (late 16th century CE) novel refers to the Three Treasures when an enlightened Daoist patriarch instructs Sun Wukong ("Monkey") with a poem that begins: Know well this secret formula wondrous and true: Spare and nurse the vital forces, this and nothing else. All power resides in the semen [jing], the breath [qi], and the spirit [shen]; Guard these with care, securely, lest there be a leak. Lest there be a leak! Keep within the body! — Journey to the West, translated by Yu 1977, p. 88 1. Guarding the Jing: Don't Cum 2. Guarding the Breath: Don't breathe dirty air? 3. Guarding the Spirit (Shen): How do you do this? So guarding the jing and breath (qi) are clear to me, but how do you guard the Spirit (Shen) from leaks? -

Are there any schools or workshops that provide in-person QiGong/Neidan training in the USA? Preferably in New York, but any state will do. A brief search just gives me online schools and QiGong massage parlors. I went to one of those massage parlors that do QiGong and it was a happy ending place, I was very disappointed.

Robert Peng is doing a series of in-person QiGong courses in Rhinebeck, NY: 1. Super Qi Weekend: Energy Flow for Healing, Happiness & Creative Resilience June 23-25, in Omega Institute 2. Master Key: Qigong Secrets for Vitality, Love, and Wisdom (The Master Key Qigong Empowerments) 5-Day Qigong Retreat July 16-21, 2023, Omega Institute, New York 3. Master Key Qigong Teacher Training With Robert Peng. Dates Aug 27 – Sep 1, 2023 4. Become a Qigong Healer Sep 10 – 24, 2023, 14-Day Professional Healer Training It's a bit pricey, but I signed up for all of them just now, I'll report back with my review on this thread when I complete all of them. I don't know anything about QiGong/Neidan so I'm starting as a complete beginner.

Ithaca is a bit far for me but thanks for the recommendation. I need something in or close to NYC. I'm a bit surprised that with such a large Asian population, I can't find any QiGong/Neidan trainers. If you want the juicy details, I did stay for the massage. An old skinny Chinese lady (70+) came out and directed me to the room. I thought to myself this must be a legit place and the old lady must be a real QiGong master and sage with decades of experience. She started giving me the massage after I took my clothes off. It was very mild and all of a sudden she proceeded to give me a prostate massage. I pushed her hand away and told her no. She was disappointed because this meant no big tip for her. I thought to myself how she has no shame to work at this job at this age. After she finished, I got up and left very disappointed I didn't get a real QiGong massage.

I found this book "Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio" by Pu Songling. It is a collection of short stories with Taoist, Buddhist, and Confucian themes. The original collection consists of about 500 stories. But the English translations only have around 160 stories. Is there an English translation of all 500 stories? Please tell me the book or where to find all 500 in English. edit: I was able to find an English edition of all 494 short stories. It is published under the title of "Strange Tales from Liaozhai" in a 6 volume set.

Can you make a negative ion toothbrush or some device for teeth? I've heard negative ions do wonders for teeth to the extent of remineralizing cavities and regrowing lost teeth.

food a limitation on spiritual progress

This book is gold, ordered it right away. Like I said, there's an easy way to remove the evil Yin Qi with cupping, paida, and gua sha (easiest), and then you have acupuncture, moxibustion, etc. -

I met Hongchi Xiao in NY 3 months ago, he is the one that's promoting paida lajin throughout the world, words are not enough to explain his presence, everyone in the room was wide eyed as if they saw God himself. -
That Weir unit was terrible, it made the hissing noise, made me feel nauseaus (from the ozone and possibly positive ions), and most annoyingly it generated lots of static electricity anything I touched in the room gave off a huge spark and painful shock. Negative ions IMO are Yang chi (heaven), the opposite are the positive ions or Yin chi (hell). This explains the - ion healing effects. After using that Weir - ion generator I lost faith in all - ion generators, that's why I prefer the natural sources of - ions. Which unit did you use to test for the negative ions, can you post a link?

This is encouraging that we can have a source of negative ions indoors. The main one I used definitely produced ozone and a strong ionic wind, I could smell the ozone in the air. It was so powerful that after 1min of operation anything I touched in the room (walls, light switch, my chair, desk, even the pen and laptop on my desk) would give off a very painful static shock. This is the one I used, do not buy this one: https://www.amazon.com/Wein-VI-2500-High-Density-Ionic-Purifier/dp/B001GXLH2K/ref=sr_1_5_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1472385040&sr=8-5&keywords=negative+ionizers Tell us which models you use so we can get the same ones.

Anything inorganic like salt lamps or bracelets that give off negative ions (without electricity) is radioactive and should be avoided.

I bought one of those negative ion meters from ebay for around $50 and tested various items at home. The shower, air conditioner, heater, and faucet showed 0. Surprisingly my laptop showed a good neg ion count at the bottom. Having bought a USB neg ion generator, it recorded good levels and my huge - ion generator was off the chart. But both of them made me kind of sick almost instantly to the point of making me throw up so I don't use them anymore. Nothing beats natural sources of negative ions. A walk in the park, on the beach, next to a river or waterfall, or forest is much more preferred. Even better is to live in a forest or wooded area.

If you do the cupping and you get blisters, don't freak out. It's from damp heat toxins generally caused by sugar, alcohol, coffee, fried foods, smoking and emotional stress but most importantly you have now removed it. Take a needle, stand up, and have someone prick/pop the blisters at 6 o'clock (at the bottom) so the liquid drains out of each blister. -

Sha is also called the killing Chi or the energy that kills you. It builds up in you daily from the toxins in your environment, the food that you eat, the negative emotions that you feel (anger, hate, sadness, etc), not getting enough sunlight or fresh air, alcohol, masturbating to porn, having an orgasm, among other things. And by fresh air I mean air that you find in nature like on an ocean shore, river, forest, mountain, park that is rich in negative ions (a negative ion generator is a bad substitute). You can remove the sha with the aforementioned methods. The spot on your skin where you did the procedure will show the sha that came out and it can be various colors, each color having a different meaning and in itself being a diagnostic method based on the color. Look at the chart below showing sha that came out with the use of medical cupping and the pictures of sha that came out with paida (slapping). Now, if you don't eat any food or you eat toxic food or too much/too little food... then sha will build up. In the case of not eating any food or too little food you will feel hunger. But by removing the sha, the feeling of hunger will instantly go away. If you smoke cigarettes, drink alcohol, or other intoxicants then your desire for them will diminish after the removal of the sha. This is like removing the demon that is causing your destruction. By removing sha you are removing the yin chi, and as the yang chi takes over the healing naturally happens. This cures any disease of the human body. Not only does it heal any disease but it also bring you closer to your perfect state of being. This means as you remove the sha your luck increases, you become more beautiful/attractive, everything you undertake is a success, you become a stranger to failure, money comes to you, you gain wealth, people love you and want to be in your presence, and an infinite list of other benefits. -

This reminds me of the first episode of Journey to the West. When the Monkey King is born from a rock a strong light shines up to heaven from it's eyes and the heavenly beings report to the Jade Emperor in panic, he appeases them saying that as soon as he starts eating food, he will lose his spiritual powers. Watch from 00:00 - 10.47 It is my opinion, that you can live without food as long as you get fresh air and sunlight. But you must remove the sha with paida (slapping), cupping, guasha, acupuncture, and/or moxibustion in the beginning and stretch/clear the meridians with stretching exercises. -

What is your Talent ? and did spirituality help refining it?
daomon replied to Shad282's topic in General Discussion
I have the ability to wish someone something and the exact opposite tends to happen all the time. For example, if I say "have a nice day" to someone, they are guaranteed to have one of the worst days of their life. Same thing for special event wishes like birthdays, holidays, etc. So I try not to wish anyone anything. I've also noticed that every time I would have an orgasm, three days of misfortune would follow. Any business deals on the line would go sour for 3 days at least or even completely destroyed, same for projects, relationships, and any other activities. Knowing this, I avoid orgasms, and have been going strong for 2 years now with no orgasm. I can see that even masturbating without cumming is detrimental by things getting delayed, but not as devastating as an ejaculation. For periods that I've gone without orgasm and no masturbation, I've seen tremendous success. I've seen a correlation between these periods of god mode abstinence (no orgasm and no masturbation and no porn) and my income levels. Income would grow exponentially the longer I'm able to hold out with no masturbation in increments of 3 days. For example, after 3 days of abstinence I'd see sub $100 level income, after 1 month of the same, I've seen $30,000+ inflows of cash from the strangest least expected sources.- 22 replies
