I've put myself there with university assignments ha, and other times, the mind becomes exhausted. Makes me think of Shaolin, exhausting the physical body something else arises. Also after seeing and reading of great suffering in the animal and human world sorrow can become too much, the only way to survive is to find neutral. Reminds me of A tangible shift moving consciousness to this neutral. Still have to expand on it. "To a mind that is still the universe surrenders."

What about sleep deprivation to find neutral?

Does love others and compassion encompass animals? Or does self-love overrule?

Significant differences with "is not sentimental" and "is not benevolent" ... non sentimental may be more toward high reasoning. Say a relationship fails, a fiction about a man whose love chooses another and he commits suicide over it, this is insane/ irrational (sentimentality) hah. A sage may be "harsh" for the overall benefit of the student, like a father smashing a gaming console his child's life has been near entirely captured by. Buddha allowed/supported a military force at his fathers request.
