  1. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

Sifu Terry, how do I know when I'm ready for the volume 4 capstone exercise?
  2. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

Sifu Terry, thank you for such a clear and thorough explanation.

Hi Sifu Terry, I'm hoping you can also weigh in on Tao Ahn Pai and FP. Can you help me understand how FP and Tao Ahn Pai work together? Do they complement each other and if so how? What benefit would I get practicing both that couldn't be obtained by practicing each art exclusively? I know in past conversations we've had offline you said they are "different energies" but can you elaborate on that as well?
  4. Ba Duan Jin by Yan Lei

I've been looking into doing the Eight Pieces of Brocade as a warm up exercise but I see so many variations online that I'm not sure which one I should do. Does anyone have experience with Yan Lei over at http://www.shifuyanlei.co.uk/collections/qigong-dvds-and-merchandise/products/the-way-of-qigong-volume-1 Is his stuff legit? I saw his version from a friends dvd and it looks different than other demonstrations that I see online.

Hi Sifu Terry. How does FP clear out blockages and stagnant energy in the traditional sense of TCM? To elaborate, many of the medical qigong systems deal with the free flowing of qi through the various meridian channels of the body. As a result their forms often have breathing synchronized with various hand movements. Dragon & Tiger Medical Qigong is a perfect example of this synchronization where each hand movement is actually tracing a major meridian. But so far with my training in FP, the postures are primarily static and when the hands do move they don't necessarily follow the main meridians of the body. I was hoping you would be able to elaborate on how FP accomplishes healing. Thanks.
  6. A moving hinge never rusts

Does anyone know of a good form for the purpose of lubricating the joints and promoting overall good health? I'm looking to do this after getting up in the morning and I would like to teach it to my mother who suffers from stiff knees and ankles.

Hi Sifu Terry, I read your response to Aeran regarding how FP can lead to "enlightenment" and I never realized that qigong practice can accomplish that goal. Can FP practice replace meditation practices such as Kriya Yoga, Twin Hearts (from GrandMaster Choa Kok Sui), and others?

From reading through the forums on the Flying Phoenix system I'm really excited to get started and experience the benefits. I recently received volumes 1 and 2 but I'm limited in the amount of time I have to practice. If I can carve out 20-30 minutes/day how would you suggest I tackle the program for best results? Thanks for your help.
