This bums sleeps for 6 to 7 hours a night, maximum. I got to bed when I am tired, about 9 or 10PM and I get up and start my day when I wake up, usually around 4AM. If I lay in bed or go back to sleep I am sluggish for hours. I feel best when I get up and hit the ground running.

Here too, though we have activity all year. Lots of courting and staking claim going on. The cactus wren have, for the second year, kept the woodpeckers out of their nest and taken over. The mockingbirds are giving the finches hell about the proximity their nest. Bird wars are in full swing.

I haven't seen any Krestel in a couple of years. This guy stopped by yesterday to snack on a lizard on my neighbor's chimney.

Her mate arrived. They were courting when I went in to get my camera. She flew up into the orange tree when my dog barked at them, but he stayed to pose for the camera

This girl has been hanging out on top of the fence for the past several days. She does not appear to have a mate and never gets far from this spot. Isn't she lovely?

That's not nice...

Give yourself time. When I first started meditating, it was difficult to quiet my mind. I would sweat, have random thoughts about my day, I would feel an itch somewhere unreachable, all sorts of stuff. I did not think it was working, but it was, in spite of all the distractions. I simply went back to focusing on the in and out of my breath through my nose. It takes time to get to a place where our mind and other stimuli are not a bother. Take your time, be gentle with yourself, start with a few minutes a day and then add time as you become more comfortable. We must learn to walk, before we can run. Good luck to you

Rather than cause and effect it feels more like judgment when reading the written word. A person is poor, therefore, they are judged as having done something bad at some point. A person is rich, they must have done something really good. Good, bad, rich or poor are subjective terms at best. Rich does not always imply wealth, nor does poor allude to poverty stricken, good for one, may be bad for another... Guess that is why I never really got on the karma train. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Thank you for your reply.

It is likely that people are struggling with your secrecy and the evasive nature of your communication rather than messaging.

So in saying the rich did good stuff and deserve what they have does that imply that the suffering did bad stuff and also deserve it? The notion of good or bad is classic duality. Both Hindu and Buddhist sects promote non-duality.

Welcome to TDB. I have given you access to the men's forum, Fuxi. I hope you are able to find answers that will help you along your path.

No one is trolling or has any bad intent. This has been an on going discussion both here and in PMs. You are looking for something that just is not here. Sorry to disappoint.

@Daemon Have a good one and good luck in your efforts.

Do some grounding, it will help. Best of luck to you.

Not at all heated. Can you really turn it down? And if so, why would you want to?
