Given the nature of our PM exchange I am pretty confused by your claim of no hierarchy within your group. Or, are you speaking about light itself? Sure, light is part of all of us and is non-dual, but you seem to limit non-duality to just self and light. What about those of us who are light and know it; are we not kind of required to share it if our light is truly "lit"? If there is no hierarchy and non-duality is truly in play, who is it that decides who is worthy or not to walk the path of light? Why would you tell or show anyone they are light and not freely offer to help them find it within themselves if they ask when it can be demonstrated in under a minute given the right circumstances? This passage from the Gospel of Thomas says it all when I think about sharing light and who may or may not be worthy... Having said that, not everyone is primed for light or light practices. I would say it takes an open heart to begin to feel the light within ourselves and others and further openings to see and know it. I am not sure that I totally agree with your stance on transmission and reception, but we can save that for another discussion.

As a team we discussed this. I commented in the discussion with admin and ZYD that I do not remember this, looked for it and unless I could get more info, I was not interested in digging up the past to see how it was handled. It was the consensus of staff the we were not going to dig any further into this, because, well, for me, personally, I have better things to do. I invested enough into it. I am not sure when this was supposed to be said or in what context, but I did do some digging, several times and could not find any reference. I, in my tenure as mod, have kept very detailed records of reports, action and inaction for every member in the super secret back office of TDB. I made no notes regarding this and do not remember a report. I am a mama bear, you just do not mess with kids, so this is not something that would have been let go of without action, request for an edit or something from me. I inquired about a time frame and topic, but my query was not given a response. I would not like to see it again either, but we can not control what another does, action, if any, would be after the fact.

I did, immediately. I might be abrasive and caught up in defending my husband, but I am still able to see the conflict of interest. Let me say this, had my husband said the things that were said and implied about him, tongue in cheek or not, to anyone, I would have kicked his ass off the forum immediately, for 3 days while I discussed with my fellow mod and admin a longer vacation. Who decides what is contemptuous from a moderation standpoint? When moderating, I will usually message the person who created the offending post and ask them their intent, ask them to edit. On most occasions people are happy to edit their posts and to clarify what they are trying to say when they are unemotional about the matter. I take them at their word, because for me to do anything else would be contentious on my part. When emotions are involved, it appears to me that all sense of rational thinking has gone by the wayside and folks want things their way, right then, or the mod team are falling down on their job and not protecting the community as they should. We put forth great effort to be consistent in our moderating style and am saddened that it is not evident and some members think that we are not doing a good job. In moderating the forum, sadly, we are damned if we do and damned if we don't. Nothing is ever good enough to the emotionally aroused; it just comes with the territory and is a cultivation practice like no other. This too shall pass...

I can tell you that he was not attacking her character by calling her a typical liberal. Maybe you should message him and discuss it with him instead of besmirching him in the way that you claimed that she was. If you had bothered to read the thread you might have noticed that he apologized twice and she perpetuated the situation saying she felt like it and it is a free counrty, even going so far as to attack his moral character, sexual orientation and upbringing in ways that I have seen people banned permanently from this site for. As I see it you have your say, often. If it is not healing for you that falls on your shoulders to let things go after you get it out. No one is trying to stifle you, yet you wish others to be censored upon your request based on your perception and interpretation then accuse staff of letting things slide, giving a platform to -its or just flat out not moderating. It is persons who make demands and think their rights and thought process are superior to that of others that make this site less egalitarian than it should be. We do not have to accept or agree with other members, however, we must be civil and not call them names. That blame more often than not is directed towards staff.
