  1. Is America trending towards Fascism?

Ronald Reagan saw it coming decades ago, only I do not believe it to be specific to the right.
  2. KULARNAVA TANTRA - split

It is all about refining ourselves, Bindi. When I think about my energy experiences, I relate them to cloth on and sometimes in my body. The feel has gone from a heavy, rough, hot burlap, to the finest, cooling, silk chiffon, and everywhere in between. Energy is about the individual, Bindi. What might be the finest silk for one, might be burlap of kundalini for another. There are no definitive answers for your questions. There are just too many variables.
  3. KULARNAVA TANTRA - split

All energy, including kundalini, can be translated by the mind as sexual. If there is nothing within us for energy to "stick" to, there is no sensation/feeling, sexual, emotional or otherwise that lingers.
  4. There are occurrences of unexplained phenomena that some would call miracles everyday. Are there any Jesus(es) currently walking around raising the dead, giving blind men sight or tuning loaves of bread into fish and water into wine for a multitude? No, not that I am aware of. How many modern day Taoist immortals do you currently know? Yes, Jesus does say in Matthew 7:16, "Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?" He also says in the same chapter in verses 1-5, "Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2)For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. 3)And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 4)Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? 5)Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye." Have you pondered the thought that you might be unfairly judging others based on your beliefs and interpretations and that you can be judged (questioned) in the same manner? In verse 16, Jesus is talking about false prophets and how to recognize them. Odd that you would quote such a scripture or the words of Jesus at all when the fruit you have put forth and the manner in which you have treated forum members seems to be against the very words of Jesus earlier in the teaching (Sermon on the Mount) you quote from. I offer you Matthew 5:7-9 to consider. Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. 8)Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. 9)Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. How are we to distinguish on TDB who the false prophet is? Is it by the fruit that they bear or their stated goals? Have you really done that thus far? I ask you to think about the fruit that you have borne on TDB. Is it really about any other perspective than your own and that of your institution? Without knowing the mother tongue of the translator it will be impossible for me to provide thorough research because it is a vital part of the equation and my approach in obtaining a better understanding of the differences in the translation based on word usage and semantics. It is odd that you are worried about labeling the translator; you have so generously placed labels on translators you disagree with. My intent is not to label your translator, but to close the gap some and find some common ground, however I must ask... Labels are judicious for some, but not for others?
  5. Are Humans Solar Powered?

I know I am. I love the sun, its warmth and light, it just makes me happy and feels good. Now I am going to read the article.
  6. You have said the same thing over and over again, in many threads, regarding this translation. You seem to be very attached to being right and proving another wrong, which is the sole purpose of this thread and others. Additionally, I believe it to be the reason you became a member of TDB. It coincided with opendao's suspension perfectly. You have been asked not to do this on several occasions. You need to state your case and move on without using another member's name, attaching labels to them or making accusations in such a repetitive fashion. Why do you continue to do this? Have you given thought to how other traditions and practices have evolved over time? Take for instance the Bible teachings- the Old Testament and the New Testament, Buddhism and the turnings of the dharma wheel and how Buddha's teaching evolved with each turning. What is the first language of the person who did the translation? Chinese, Russian, English? If not what is it? I think there is something lost here between the meanings of words in different languages. I am willing to sit down and explore the differences of the meaning the words in all languages involved to hopefully settle this ongoing dispute or at the very least find some common ground.

Pamphlet for immigrants. Though I suspect it is meant for legal immigrants, I am sure there are those who are illegal that get their hands on it and purchase forged documents to receive benefits or just apply for a DL and register to vote. Viola legal documents and benefits to boot! https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/nativedocuments/M-618.pdf I am not sure of the validity of the following article from 2013, but it is a head scratcher... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2315115/Shocking-US-government-leaflet-tells-Mexican-immigrants-collect-food-stamp-benefits-admitting-theyre-country-illegally.html
  13. Watching The Birds

Aww, I'm sorry. There is no doubt the woodpeckers have found another home. I keep seeing them coming out of my neighbors saguaro cactus, but they still want to be in the palm. The cactus wrens are not very happy with the woodpeckers for taking over their home. Bird Wars 2017 is in full effect in my neighborhood. The dove are the only ones who have returned to their nests un-invaded, that I have noticed.
  14. Watching The Birds

For the last 4 years Arizona Woodpeckers have nested in a hole they created in one of my date palms. They were late returning to their house in the hole in the side of the tree this year. A pair of House Finches have taken up residence; watching these tiny birds deny entry to the woodpeckers has great entertainment in a David and Goliath sort of way. The finches are diligent watchers, often times, but not always, 6 or more of them descend from their hiding spots in the palm fronds and a nearby fig tree to attack the poor, unsuspecting woodpecker who tries to peer into what was once his or her home. It is comical and sad, all at the same time.

  18. Homosexuality in the tao

Please do not fool yourself into believing that you are not culpable for your actions. You have a responsibility on this forum to choose your words in a manner as to not insult another member for nationalities, genders, political preferences, lifestyle choices, etc.
  19. Homosexuality in the tao

Now you are just being insulting. I have done research and have not found a single person who claims to have been cured, therefore I am asking you to back your claims with real documentation not insults and excuses as to why you will not.
  20. Homosexuality in the tao

I'd like to see some references of actual cures, not more claims of a cure from classic texts or anywhere else. There have been many changes in the way the Chinese view homosexuality in the last decade, so I would think that a lot of those classics are now obsolete. Every human gay or straight inherently embodies the tiger and the dragon energies. Finding the balance between the two has little or nothing to do with sexual orientation, but with the realization that they are present and then working to find that balance through practice. As a heterosexual woman my energy tends to reside more on the side of the dragon. I have to practice to expand the tiger for balance. Based on your present theory, I should be gay, no? Or, if I expand the tiger too far, I will become gay? You went from claiming that homosexuality can be cured with TCM to quoting suicide statistics for the LGBT community. I suspect that the suicide rate is high because of the judgement that something is wrong with them and rejection by their families and peers. Depression and anxiety are a byproduct of homosexuality, not the cause and can probably effectively be treated with TCM, but I am asking you to prove your claim for a cure, not for statistics on the mental health of the LGBT community. There are many horror stories of people trying to be "cured" to please their families, none of them, through various methods of what can only be described as torture, everything from electro-shock therapy, to herbs, to exorcisms, to fecal therapy, have been "cured". Imagine that!
  21. Homosexuality in the tao

You have got to be kidding? I'd like to hear from a licensed TCM professional along with extensive research references before I give any credence that wild notion.
