Ummm, actually, you did... Only later did you clarify, somewhat, after you go a reaction from practitioners. From my perspective as a moderator, to elicit a wholesome discussion one must first, at minimum, appear to be coming from a wholesome place themselves. Coming into a thread where an experienced Bon practitioner is sharing something, even if basic in your view, does not induce such. We must remember, that our experiences rarely mimic that of another, so statements like "I am speaking they way they are" tend to feed the discourse in a discussion. I am just lending some words of advice and in no way am I trying to demean your personal experiences or questions the way you have others on this forum. I am happy to discuss this further privately from a moderation perspective, but for now this has gone far enough in this thread.

Here is some context for the story you are trying to telling... http://www.lamatsongkhapa.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=235:motivasi-yang-tulus-membawa-pencapaian&catid=96:worthywords&Itemid=140

They might be expert to some, or have pieces of paper that say so, but I think the proof is in the proverbial pudding.

Stosh, have you ever been a mod here, or on any other forum?

How much time do you need to recieve a transmission?
Kar3n replied to A.A.Khokhlov's topic in Daoist Discussion
Yes, dreamwork is a great way to describe it! I used to have some great lucid dreams, and dreams of events that actually happened within hours of me waking up, not so much anymore. Nowadays, it is more like someone is talking to me or I am talking to others, I can't hear or see them, but I know they are there and we are communicating, because I wake up with random words or phrases on the brain. It's crazy, and I am happy to know I am not the only one. -
So you are blaming the Christians and Jews today for the sins of their forefathers? I am of Native American heritage, as are other bums, you do not see us blaming you or other Europeans for the sins of the past do you? It is a vicious circle of hate I choose not to participate in, and am sad that you do. You create change by doing something different, not by making the same mistakes, Sionnach.
-
An endeavor to save the world from itself should not consist of hate mongering and bringing down one culture to save another. With a little more balance your posts might actually be taken as a sincere concern for humanity but with your European-Pagan, heroic, courageous and truth seeking heritage being brought to the forefront while suggesting you are somehow oppressed by filthy poverty stricken Judeo-Christains, it just gives it the wrong flavor to be taken any other way than anti-Semitic or racist. If that is how you feel, that's great, but this is not the forum for sharing those thought processes and ideas. There are many other forums on the WWW where I am sure you would be welcomed with open arms.

Well, I stand corrected. So much for being fair and giving the benefit of the doubt. Please see my above post. You were warned and there was ample communication. Seems a little odd to complain about a suspension almost a full month later, but whatever.
-
To be fair, I do not believe that Sionnach is saying he was suspended without warning, I believe he is saying that his suspension came without out him providing us with a warning to Trump supporters, in particular white women and those with mental health challenges. I am drawing this conclusion based on private communication with Sionnach, as well as notices and warnings placed in offending threads before the suspension was implemented and the 2 separate system generated emails that I typed and sent to him informing him of the reasons and duration of said suspension. I have no way of knowing if the emails were received by Sionnach, however, it is the responsibility of each member to ensure that their contact information is up to date, and in no way reflective of flawed system or break down in communication between staff and members.

Trump or ralis? ralis or Trump? I am still trying to figure out which one of you has the bigger ego... Your label of Trump's mental health without a proper, official diagnosis is no more true or rational than all of the doctors' that said HRC has Parkinson's. When Trump does something to impede your lifestyle or place you in danger while in office then you can wag your finger, until then it is all speculation and repeating the talking heads on the boob tube. A wait and see approach is much healthier than worrying oneself before it is time to worry. Take the next 15 days and relax, you've the next 4 years to stay in a tizzy.

I do not know about teaching kids qigong or enrolling them into classes, but I know my son is a super charged, little firecracker that loves to play with chi with me. He came upon it himself watching some cartoon (anime, I think) that talked about chi and he identified with it. We can never really know what kids experience until they are given the platform to talk about it. Depending on the ages of the kids, I would go for a more generic approach rather than placing any labels to it. Maybe a good stretch hands in the air and exhale bringing the hands to heart a couple of times if needed and then encourage them to pay attention to their body and how certain movements feel when we slow our minds and pay attention to our body-mind connection. Possibly have them journal about what they are experiencing and take it from there either individually or as a group? Might be a good way for them to calm themselves- get the wiggles and/or frustrations out at the same time. Just some ideas from a momma who dabbles in various forms of meditation, does yoga, plays with chi balls, shares and moves energy around with her family and friends. Good luck to you, and thank you. We need more people like you in this world, Jox.

Got a link, Seeker? I'd be interested to read that from the source if you don't mind. Thanks.

There is no lineage from the recognized Buddhist tradition or system of beliefs and practices that I have been able to find. Here is a little info on the author. I have not researched and compared enough to say it is all 100% factual. http://darkbooks.org/pp.php?v=1686047971#book_description https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mat_Giao_Friendship_Association The following quote is from the PDF in the OP. http://vutruhuyenbi.com/forum/download/The-Quintessence-of-Secret-Esoteric-Buddhism-Revised-Edition-2008.pdf

How much time do you need to recieve a transmission?
Kar3n replied to A.A.Khokhlov's topic in Daoist Discussion
The bolded statement is exactly what I am referring to, except that I would say, neither to follow it or conquer it. I, personally, have no desires for accolades that passing tests or proving myself to my peers brings. I do not think the Dao really requires such things, but it is the systems of practices that folks have created that do, and documenting time based realizations and openings seem to be of importance and what creates separation. How can anyone who truly believes in or follows the Dao separate themselves so far from others even when there is disagreement? It should not matter if it takes someone 30 minutes, 30 years or 30 lifetimes to realize the Dao, only that they do and are able to grow in it to realize there is no separation of the 10,000 things is what is important to me. The Dao has no beginning and has no end... -

I am in no way bashing their system of practice, I have zero experience with it. I do know the Dao well enough to know that WLP and the practitioners are part of the "10,000 things", therefore no different in the "eyes of Dao" than any other of the 9,999 things. When we step out of the shadow of Dao it creates separation, this is when the finger pointing that one is right and the other is wrong starts. Not very Dao-like if anyone is asking... -

You are suggesting, saying, that if one has not "passed" tests of your particular system one does not know Dao? Or, they do not know the teachings of the system in a practical sense and therefore can not or should not comment on it? I can totally get on board with a person believing in a system that has benefited and enriched their life, but what is a huge red flag for me is when it is said that there is only one way to get to know the Dao. I think having a teacher is important for sharing openings and experiences with and receiving feedback. The Dao is the real teacher, in every case, without exception as far as I am concerned. Having an open enough heart and being still have been the only obstacles I have seen in myself and others that hold us back, not time.
