Did you discuss your plans for retention with her prior to your decision? Communication is key when you are in a relationship. The exchange of energy that comes with sex It is about balancing it all out, leveling the playing field, being one with the person you love. Power and control leave with the clothing

This feels like a waste of time (making a post here!)

Is Dzogchen about cultivation? Or should the teachings just not exist.

A few of us bums have done this on another site. Each day or two a new verse is posted, and folks talk about what it means to them. The bums would be a great place to have such a thread.

Honeydew is definitely better than honey don't. Living in AZ is dreadful in the summer. My flowers are drying and no amount of water will save them from the blazing heat that is descending from the sun this weekend. 110+° Come on October; I'd like to play in the dirt and help grow some more pretty!

I did notice ants on the citronella during that time. Aphids seem to like the new growth on my Mandevilla/Rocktrumpet too, but no ants there that I have seen. Thank you for the tip!

Aphids!!! Little beasts! I bought a couple of citronella plants in October, they were beautiful, in the beginning. About two weeks after I planted them, I noticed that some of the leaves were turning yellow, dried out, and finally brown and dead. There was no way that they were getting too much or not enough water, so I went on the hunt. Aphids seem to love citronella. Seemed odd to me that the little beast would like a natural repellant so much. A few shots of some neem oil chased them off, and they are now thriving. One of them even bloomed little purple flowers. 1/2 tablespoon of neem oil to one quart of water in a hand sprayer works wonders

Visualizations can be helpful for connections in light practices as well, but they can also become an attachment. Often times transmission can come across as a visualization, even without the intent of the one transmitting. I tend to focus more on what I feel and know rather than what I see.
-
yes, exactly. I would not agree, in my case, that every intention has a visualization, though some do
-
Intent is a determination to do something. Visualization or visualizing is related to mental imagery.

I can see where shielding is proper in healing situations, but aside from that I do not think it is necessary. Thoughts and emotions, whether they are your own or coming from the environment, are always coming and going. Attachment to those things and connecting a mind story to them is where the problems seem to arise. Sometimes things still stick to an obstruction, but for the most part they float by, just like the clouds. With growth in practice, you will notice that things stick less and less. Your awareness and compassion will still be present, but the mind stories will be gone that cause reaction.

thoughts about altering practices to suit oneself

Steve nailed what I was thinking Easier and more enjoyable do not always get you the intended result. -
I remember when I first started feeling energy, I was worried that anything I did would make it go away. Live your life, practice, still and quiet your mind and heart, know you are chi/energy; it is in and all around you. Selfless giving cultivates much more in the long run, so don't trash the idea all together. If you decide to donate, and feel depleted, hit me up, I'll send you some chi.

Meditate Tai Chi QiGong Work out weights run yoga Journal Read There are a lot of things you can do, all it takes is refocusing your mind onto something else. I believe I read somewhere it takes 21 days to create or break a habit. Good luck

It is flowing out all the time, I give it freely. I do not view chi/energy as something to hoard. There is always more chi, however, there may not be enough blood to save someone's life, and since I have O negative blood (universal), I donate as often as I can. There may be some folks who would disagree, and I am fine with that. My chi and my blood, I will give it as I see fit.
-
I donate blood and plasma and have no adverse side effects to practice.
