Taoism really doesn't have an end goal in my opinion. Some might say immortality is an end goal but is immortality really an ending? I think of Taoism kind of like the Gospel's teachings by Jesus in the sense the are instructions for living life. Taoism is focused on living a life in balance with nature (all things), as can be seen in the yin yang. I like the word harmony rather than balance because balance suggests adding or taking away something to achieve it. Taoism is all encompassing, organic spontaneity enacted selflessly. I suspect others will have different views and thoughts on the subject, but this is how I see it.

Yeah, some do, I have on occasion. We try not to censor unless it is overly vulgar, pronographic or a personal attack against another member. Just be civil with other memebers, don't post any nudes and you're in the clear.

This is a screenshot of your profile. If you scroll down to Activity and click it a menu will drop. Make your selection from there. I suppose some write about themselves. I can't say for sure, because I really haven't looked. If a person has not written in the about me field when setting up their profile it will not be visible in the drop down menu. Hope this helps.

How is a political discussion any different than the long-standing, sometimes heated MoPai debates or the Buddahist and Daoist discussions that have turned nasty? Where was all of the concern about the spirit of the bums in those instances? Something to think about... There has not been a single ban based on political discussion. The same can't be said of the "spiritual".

The circled "Unread Content" is what lerner is referring to. It is a link to member's personalized or chosen default activity stream. The changes you made changed the default stream link for some, but not all. Tom's was changed but mine was not. I am guessing this is because I had previously made some edits and changed it from the system default prior. It appears that you might have done the same. I changed Tom's default activity stream back to all unread content using the steps I posted this morning. As can be seen the system Activity menu does not change when a person edits what they want as their activity stream link to be.
