  1. How is it a trap? Can you expand on this please? Do you not wish wonderful things for others? Are you saying that some portions of Dzogchen teachings are relevant and others are not?
  2. Seems that everything I have read and been taught says the natural state without bodhicitta is not possible. I am not seeing a lot of that here. Seems more like a prepubescent flame war. Do you not have the maturity spiritually or mentally to agree to disagree, walk away and do some research or perhaps look inward? Think about it...

  6. It does seem like a plausible solution, to utilize them for asylum seekers, but I can almost hear the media equating the use of empty military bases to segregation and racism, and further comparing them to concentration camps if the amenities are not appreciated. Admittedly, it is a stretch, but I put nothing past the media, the propaganda they spew and their under and over reporting.

  8. Is not digging through all of the "crap" to find the diamonds part of any practice to make our lives and others' richer? Much love to you Wells.

  12. The occasions of being in rigpa took no induction of thought to get to it. There was no sitting saying, "Hey, going to try to induce rigpa today." When it has happened the mind was quiet. The quietness of the mind and no thought or attachment to thought are what was experienced. There was no need for thought, only to be. There is little doubt that thought is needed in rigpa, especially as a constant state, but attachment to thoughts or thinking would not be rigpa. The only goal is to help others. Much love.
  13. In the context of rigpa, there is no thought. There has been no proclamation made that riga is a constant state of being at this point. So yes, there are periods of thought and no thought. There is work yet to be done. Yes, much love. Rather than sugary and sweet, think of it as genuine and given freely to you and anyone who reads this. Acceptance is up to the individual.
  14. No sir, no confusion. Brahma is foreign territory, so no trips there. Separating from the me and I, realizing there is no difference in anything or anyone that strives to sustain life has played a role in awareness. That is wonderful news; you think for yourself! I do as well, but in this context it is all about being and residing in emptiness which requires no thought or effort. As for parrots, they are better left in the ecosystem of the rainforests and other tropical settings. Much love
  15. As it is evident from many of your posts, I completely understand why you would respond this way. Not cherry picking, but if that is what you perceive it to be, so be it. The should have given you some indication of humor here. In an attempt to clarify for you, let me say this... It is has been hard for me to grasp being one with a cockroach, but alas, it is necessary... Much love.
  16. My knowledge of on the specifics of Dzogchen and Tantra are very limited. Is Dzgochen superior to Tantra? Really, I have not the slightest inclination to find out at this time. I can tell you what I do know and have realized through meditation and residing in ripga on more than one occasion. Without bodhicitta and sunyata rigpa is not possible. Without realizing that you, me, and a Buddha are all one (the insect is questionable ), as part of a non-dualistic nature, rigpa is not possible. Rigpa is just being, being without obstruction or attachment to anything and residing in the light of the true nature of oneself. Rigpa is freedom from the limits of the conscious mind. Be kind to one another. A little bodhicitta goes a long way... Much Love to you all.

  18. Balancing Too Much Yin? How?

Hi Rocco, Here is an older thread that discusses cultivating more yang. I hope you are able to find something that works for you. http://thedaobums.com/topic/17889-how-to-cultivate-more-yang-enegry/ Much love and well wishes...
  19. suggestion on search

This may help: Go to your profile Click My Content - Every thread you have posted in will be listed Click on the thread you want - There is a search bar in the header Search the topic for keywords. If you have been quoted in the thread you can search your name and it will come up that way as well. Additionally, there is a wheel or what some may call a cog next to the search box that allows for advanced searches. Good luck
  20. Disappearing threads ?

My comment had nothing to do with any specific person or accusation, but rather the mess the lot of you have created. As someone who went to the MP threads to actually learn something, I can tell you all that what you all are doing to one another does not help the seeker, nor does it shed a positive light on any of you. I urge you all to bare in mind the seeker when you participate in any thread. edit: typo
  21. Disappearing threads ?

And the blame game and judgements continue into yet another thread; this one. Are you all not tired? If TDB mod and admin team is not doing something to your liking or you feel slighted or treated unfairly, create your own forum with your own rules. It really is that simple. Is arguing, making accusations and defamatory remarks about another, founded or unfounded, really leading to anyone's growth in the spiritual journey, no matter the practice? I wish you all peace in your hearts and hope you all will be able to find closure, moving past all of what has been said in the damning posts I have read regarding MP and WMP practitioners. Much love to you all.
  22. Realization far outweighs quotes from book or teachers. Taking the time to dig as deep into ourselves as we do into the worldwide web and books for answers is far more rewarding.
  23. Until you are willing to dive in deep to ask and answer the questions you are asking others, you will find no solution you find relevant to your specific situation. Meditation does get to the root of the matter if you allow it to. Futuredaze summed it up nicely. Do not let the gnat distract you from the big picture. Much love...
  24. Hello...
