Is this the so called Cinnabar Field
Earl Grey replied to OverseerFeatheredImmortal's topic in Newcomer Corner
I live in Manila myself. One of my teachers is here and I teach. You can achieve hermit life AFTER a proper foundation but without it you create a poor foundation. -
Speak for yourself then as if things are Then you would only need to make this a personal reminder best placed as a note on your bathroom mirror rather than needing to quote me for what I supposedly have no relation.
-
Time for fond farewells as we outgrow ourselves now like a snake sheds skin
-
They teach online as well and might be a good foundation before you move to CA. All depends on your training goals and what you want, especially if you’re specifically looking for black Taoist teachers. If you yourself are black, then that is one thing, but skill is crucial regardless of their heritage.

Good morning, moment, the pleasure is all mine. Have the best day ever!
-
Haha I should qualify that the ones they’ve met have not beat them. Thanks.
-
Yes. Two of them are my teachers and have fajin and deep skill in Tai Chi. They are based in Pittsburgh, PA. The others I know are based in Oakland, CA and NYC. Even Chinese and Taiwanese masters can’t beat my teachers in tuishou or fajin.

We get what we are meant to have through karma, openness, and De (virtue). Without a balance of the three, fruits of the practice are noticeable to those who do have it as is also their level of understanding and skill.

Ah hello, Welkin. Passive-aggression from a guy who can’t seem to get a hint that I do not care what he thinks nor will his opinions on internal practices be equal to anyone who has qualified training to make informed statements. Seen that script before from you and others, nothing new and nothing remotely original either. You are ultimately still a self-initiated guy, fairly recently too, making a passive-aggressive attack that makes no difference to me because I know my own skill and qualifications backed by my teachers themselves. Your opinion also remains in the realm of personal conjecture rather than being informed and authoritative. Please keep your personal issues with me out of any public dialogue helping someone interested in his own development.

I've encountered things like that too. Some statements I heard over the years seem to correlate even if they seem contradictory, as they speak to the skills of the people talking about me. These are from people of different cultural groups I will include as well. 1) "Something about you makes me just want to bully you and pick on you, and I can't help it." - from a friend's brother who is highly functioning autistic and from a Chinese-Filipino family 2) "I like him because he has smiling eyes." - A friend's wife from Korea 3) "He has such an intense energy to him" - commonly said by some Americans, Spaniards, Filipinos, Australians, British, New Age yoga and reiki students 4) "He has fire eyes! Very pure and fantastic energy to him and very hard working, very skilled and insightful!" - Chinese mainlander who is the boss of an ex-girlfriend's mother who NEVER praises people 5) "Your face is so ugly because it's always frowning! Bitchy resting face is horrible!" - Spanish girl 6) "This guy's face is so creepy!" - American university students in Las Vegas who had the sudden instinct to turn around and look at me on an escalator 7) "I don't know why but I had an instinct to turn around and look at you and didn't even know I was waiting for you." - Singaporean Chinese friend who had never met me or seen my face before who was waiting to meet me the first time while my friend was in the restroom 8) "He's kind of creepy and intense but he's cool. Can I sleep over and talk with him all night?" - Same friend's other Chinese Singaporean friend who met me on Skype 9) "He has such a unique energy and a mission from the gods, very powerful." - Psychic from a Shinto shrine 10) "You have such a pure and comforting presence and I just want to hug you." - friends, men and women alike of all ages 11) "You are immature and you are full of shit and ego." - members of The Dao Bums 12) "You are wise and very soothing and I feel energy in your words and posts." - members of The Dao Bums 13) "He has very strong energy and is very spiritual." - Balinese guide 14) "I don't know what to label you! Healer? Warrior? Traveler? Philanthropist? Writer? Teacher?" - an ex-girlfriend 15) "I don't know why but I am so comfortable around you and just feel natural to share these things with you I never share with others normally." - commonly said by others

PM me and we can discuss your goals and see whom I can recommend as well as debunking and demystifying some assumptions.

I have a digital and physical copy of the book. If you want to digitally borrow it (that is use it but promise to support the team by buying your own copy eventually), I can share it.

Check out Mother's Cookbook, a game based on the cuisine of the Mother series, or rather EarthBound. It's fantastic.

How about get a qualified teacher or enroll in a good program? Plenty of misinformation here that can harm you. One person did something similar and now is in constant pain from pressing his perineum while reverse breathing based on misunderstanding of stuff read here.

I notice that this is not uncommon for certain kinds of people involved in the Art. Happens to me often too that people want to cause a ruckus because they feel like it with me, and a couple other friends too. We have yet to isolate the energetic signature behind it, but it’s really not ideal.

Legs.... Mmm... Reminds me of something that happened when some of my friends were in Santa Monica last year. We overheard a few guys having a conversation. Bro 1: "I love breasts." Bro 2: "I love them too, but I prefer legs." Bro 3: "I can't make up my mind, I love legs and thighs, but the real thing for me is if they're dark instead of white." Random girl: "YOU FUCKING SEXIST, RACIST PIGS! IN PUBLIC, TOO!" Bro 1: "Uh, what?" Girl: "LEGS! BREASTS! WHITE! DARK! YOU ARE DISGUSTING!" Bro 2: "You vegan or somethin', miss? We didn't know this was a safe space for you, we were just talking about what kinda chicken we like."

I always play acroFATic characters, man! Even Earthquake from Samurai Shodown! Especially because Bob and Rufus, especially Rufus, are the best and most accurate depiction of Americans!

Same here. I find the jerks in both internal and external often aren’t very skilled whereas the ace fighters I knew had nothing but praise for the systems. They praised the people dedicating years of their lives to perfection, not the “I can armbar ya bruh!” Or “I can fajin your ass!” kinda bullshit. Closest friends of mine do Muay Thai, Silat, Kali, boxing, BJJ and karate, and we all love cross-training. None of them want to stand for an hour in Zhan Zhuang with me though...

I have encountered three living in major American cities. There’s a fourth one too who is popular here in this forum. Might want to expand your scope then.
