  1. Teaching authentic neigong

Someone came to our school for a month, then suddenly, on social media, he was promoting himself as a master and had about 30 students suddenly, and he charged ten times what my teacher charges. A month later, he ran into a lot of trouble because not only did he teach wrong, but he caused some injuries due to the ridiculous stances he made up for Zhan Zhuang. Think of something between what Jim Carrey would do as Ace Ventura especially, and Chris Farley in any of his comedies, and you have an idea of what he thought would be "stronger and more improved than the weak postures he was originally taught".

I haven't experienced electrical faqi from Dolic. I do know that what he does made the whole room feel like a microwave though when I was with him for a week in Bali years ago. He does know about electrical qi, but his view towards it is that it isn't a big deal to him and prefers people just heal themselves with simple techniques he offers to teach. He also has a lot of things he doesn't advertise that he knows publicly, but I'll refrain from saying anything about that out of respect for him and the inner door students.
  3. Oh look, I got covid

Force is never the way in anything I've learned. Try pushing a wall, and see how much pushback you get. It's a bit hard to push and will my way back to health even if I wanted to because I'm limited by my fatigue and brain fog. Today, for example, I did a warmup and could only do some slow movements for about 10 minutes before deciding I need to continue later as I am already tired and need to rest again. My warmup was about 20 minutes of stretching and Baduanjin, mind you. More rest is really what I'm going to be doing over the next six weeks, and breaking up my recovery macro into increments throughout the day when the body isn't begging to rest or avert my eyes from the computer screen. Even playing chess is at times a strain, but I still end up being stubborn when the creative mind is active rather than the quantitative mind, so sketching and creative writing is still something of an outlet for me. Just to clarify, it's cPTSD. The good news is that the dogs and cats can touch me now, as they're sleeping in the bed with me most of the time. So even if the neighbor is basically treating me like I'm a plague rat of doom, I'm ignoring her while the dogs and cats all hog the bed and sandwich me between them. Thanks for the advice.

An update here on the way the government is not really sure about what it's doing and the hostile neighbor downstairs. The doctor who came to test for covid19, his assistant, the local government unit for my community, and the national government are all saying different things about whether I am able to leave today. I have a certificate saying that last Friday that I could leave because I had already had covid19 for two weeks, and the doctor said that the virus is dead, no need to worry about spreading it. The assistant is giving different dates because he says it should be this coming Friday, which determines I've been in quarantine from the date of testing rather than when symptoms actually started, and even if I had a home antigen test before I took the PCR test. The Department of Health is changing their criteria almost weekly it seems, and the LGU is now saying that we need a certificate of clearance, not just a certificate of completing my two-week quarantine. My nosy neighbor found out that our other neighbors got covid19, and they were taken to a facility to be quarantined for two weeks today. She is blaming me for infecting them--even though I have never even seen these people or interacted with them in my life. She also wants my roommate and me to be picked up right away to be isolated, not giving a crap that nobody is going to be here to take care of the dogs and cats and demanding that nobody endangers her or her right to leave her door open and not wear a mask when she wanders around the common area outside. I'll have been stuck in my house for over three weeks by this Friday, and if the neighbor has her way, I won't leave until next week.

I know what you're talking about...and it's most definitely not the same as the Zhan Zhuang I practice and teach from Xin Yi. Neigong is totally different from the martial practice I do. It affects my body differently and I would treat it as a separate practice from martial Zhan Zhuang.

The forum isn’t as active as it used to be and some are skeptical because of a few scams before like one person who pretended to have Mo Pai level 4, which people jumped on and lost thousand over. I personally am jumping on this, but my finances right now can’t afford it unless I’m able to give later. So I am on your waiting list, just not something I’ll be able to do immediately.
  7. Oh look, I got covid

I've decided that some things are best shared by PM...so I'll prepare those messages sometime this week to a few who commented here.
  8. Hi, from the UK. Looking for Medical Qigong.

Hi, I don't know anybody in UK who teaches, but I know people online who teach remotely from Australia and the US.
  9. Teaching authentic neigong

I am vouching for this because I know him and can say yes, he does have the skill to faqi and the knowledge to teach it without all the bullshit, politics, or fleecing of people seeking to learn. I believe someone like @virtue would also be interested in discussing this on AG as well, as it is rare that someone who has the skill, experience, and knowledge to teach this to people openly.
  10. Oh look, I got covid

I haven't forgotten to reply to the above messages. I'm trying to get some practices in to keep recovering. The recovery process is a bit of a challenge, so I'm going to reply later when I'm a bit better. On a positive note, the landlady left some food at my door and might have given a silent rebuke to the neighbor downstairs for her pettiness. Would love if someone were to help take the garbage for us though, which would be nice since I've always offered to take their garbage for them to the heap down the street whenever I toss mine before I got sick--and I did it a lot for that passive-aggressive neighbor, which is what makes her behavior all the more puzzling.
  11. Oh look, I got covid

Going to respond to both of these later when I’m a little more awake because I was seriously questioning my sanity last night and pondering if I was approaching Sylvia Plath levels of despondence (no joke).

    Update:
  13. Oh look, I got covid

Your good will is appreciated. I need it because besides dealing with shitty neighbors acting hostile (and yet they don’t even wear masks or follow distance protocols even if I do), I have “friends” who have been ignoring my symptoms and how it’s brought me down because they want to push their Plandemic conspiracy theories. One guy says that it is just a flu and I am overreacting. Another guy says it’s just me being paranoid and influenced by media and sheeple, even if my body isn’t lying when I’m extremely fatigued and doing all the qigong I have and resting up, while also being blocked from receiving food if one nosy neighbor is around when the landlord isn’t. I never knew how much someone else pushing his conspiracy theory about the disease onto me means more to them than me feeling ill for the past couple weeks. It’s like my own experience doesn’t matter to him if it doesn’t fit his rejection of this illness. So thanks for your good vibes and support, especially Medicine Buddha, whom I’ve been appealing to for help.

I spent about 1-2 hours a day doing this because I want to heal myself faster. Covid19 is very debilitating. As for the lobes, somewhere in this thread Sifu Terry mentions the sleeper and waker upper MSW meditations go for the front and back lobes respectively. I wasn’t able to do all the meditations every day because some days I’m so tired that I can barely get an hour of it with the MSW meditations and a few short standing practices. Today for example was just the flash meditations, basic seated meditation 3 (50-10-50), and MSW long form. I got knocked out and slept most of today, but this is because adequate sleep is necessary for FP to be most effective, and so I would have to say that my need for more sleep is because of FP determining that more rest on top of my evening cycle will better absorb the qi.

Yes, laugh WITH someone, not AT them.
  16. Nowadays I can control rain.

Ah, entertainment! Then you want more of a No More Heroes boss battle! Starts at 3:00, but the intro is totally worth it.
  17. Nowadays I can control rain.

You are not a debbie downer, because we’d say bye Felicia long ago if that were the case. You’re fulfilling a necessary dialogue for consideration with a counterpoint that ultimately helps people reading this to learn and conclude from the dialogue style of rhetoric employed by Plato and other classic philosophers to show contrasting views before a synthesis and consensus is reached.
  18. Nowadays I can control rain.

Humor and compassion don’t have to be mutually exclusive, nor do they necessarily imply that they are encouraging suffering. And likewise, this is just my 2 cents and experience (same currency I hope).
  19. Nowadays I can control rain.

Maybe. But again: it’s the spirit of the intent behind the humor. The OP, assuming he’s serious, has already made up his mind about his reality. It’s a low probability he will consider getting help like I mentioned earlier about dragon sickness.
  20. Nowadays I can control rain.

Dancing Mad and all four movements or One-Winged Angel’s jillionth orchestral version?
  21. Nowadays I can control rain.

Humor and being able to laugh at yourself are a form of spiritual development. If others do so with a spirit more akin to "Hey, look at yourself, you are acting silly" kind of way rather than a "HA, HA!!! UR LAME! L0LZ!!!" approach, it can be helpful, and is a good warning to others at least.
  22. Nowadays I can control rain.

So was Aum Shinrikyo right all along?
  23. Nowadays I can control rain.

A common sign of dragon sickness is believing you have control over reality. Self-assessment and lack of guidance can induce these beliefs, which ultimately show poor training and development. Bruce, Almighty, let’s have some winning lottery numbers magically improve my bank account, even if I don’t even play the lottery. Come on Bruce; do this for me and I’ll believe in you...
  24. Oh look, I got covid

No, I’ve been on a waiting list to get vaccinated for months now. The country I live in has a poor vaccination rollout, not helped by the fact I moved to another town from the last one I was in earlier this year, and am a foreign resident.
