  1. Oh look, I got covid

I've just posted a couple of insights from using my internal arts when attempting to help with my healing of covid19. I can't stress enough the importance of the need for support to get into the right mind state to practice qigong and how qigong's affects on both the body and mind allow you to make full use of those faculties when doing Vajrayana meditations. https://forum.alchemical.garden/threads/157/ https://forum.alchemical.garden/threads/158/ Here's a short excerpt from the first link:
  2. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

I'm posting two links to threads from Alchemical Garden about my experience with healing my covid19 case, especially with respect to the role of Flying Phoenix. Here they are if you want to see them directly, but I am also copying the Flying Phoenix post because of its relevance here. https://forum.alchemical.garden/threads/157/ https://forum.alchemical.garden/threads/158/

  4. A lot of you are deluded

Not long ago, I had mutual antagonism with some people in the forum during the Wild West period, and then with the mods after they reinforced rules before they let me know that using this place is a privilege that can be taken away at their discretion. You might want to listen as though Jacob Marley were talking to you and re-evaluate your communication skills...or you can just keep doing what you’re doing and see what that gets you.
  5. Oh look, I got covid

I'm on day 7 according to the doctor who came to assess me today. I had a panic attack last week after an accumulation of stress (including something online recently), and since it's a lower risk case, the doctor didn't need to take me to the hospital. No risk of mutating into a titan or zombie either, so I guess I'm safe. Started out with burning palms, a headache and diminished appetite, then a cough and a lot of fatigue and weakness, and ringing in my ears. Then I lost my sense of smell and taste yesterday--which sucks because the day I lost my senses, a friend surprised me with a couple of artisanal pizzas from her restaurant. This must be how Jimmy Hoffa felt when he realized he couldn't order from his favorite places anymore. I'm just isolated in my room as my roommate takes care of my dogs and cats, who have been crying and pawing at the door the past few days, because I can't touch them or risk infecting any of them. It will be like this for another week, so the kids are depressed that they can't be pet or have their tummies rubbed. I suspect they'll be plotting an uprising if they are forced to wait any longer. Unsurprisingly, Flying Phoenix qigong has helped significantly in helping me keep some energy throughout the day. Too bad I'm still not at that level where I can levitate or disintegrate viruses with my mind, so until then, I just have to take my multivitamins and zinc.
  6. Forget the soap, just wash with water.

How long is the waiting list for applicants to be adopted by you? I'll use my secret weapon to influence my odds of being chosen:
  7. The Propaganda Virus

This is discussed in Fast Food Nation, so it’s worth reading again to see the problems with the culture that enables fast food and why so many people can only afford it in America, or why it’s treated as a luxury meal in the third world due to rampant malnutrition.
  8. Forget the soap, just wash with water.

You’re that cool mom that all your kids’ friends talk about and their parents want to be friends with, aren’t you?
  9. The Clarity Aspect in Buddhism

Don’t worry; it’s a one-off joke for those of us who remember. Anything more would just be mean (and a violation of forum rules...)
  10. The Clarity Aspect in Buddhism

Market a free PDF, talk about sitting in full lotus for four hours at a time, go off topic with climate change and the San Bushmen while connecting it to Euclidean harmonics, and you just may be on to something to help stop an argument and flame war...

  14. The Clarity Aspect in Buddhism

As long as it’s more Buddha Wars: A New Hope is Born rather than the prequel trilogy and most definitely wish that it will not be Buddha Wars: The Last Siddhi.
  15. The Clarity Aspect in Buddhism

The opening shot that begins Buddha Wars II?
  16. The Clarity Aspect in Buddhism

What are the few most relevant threads to read if there were only a few to best summarize the discussions in this war?
  17. Forget the soap, just wash with water.

I know the Phoenicians made soap out of animal fat...
  18. Forget the soap, just wash with water.

Didn't see it as pushing on others. I was just offering a counterpoint from my experience in Tanzania. I think it works for you in context because you probably have access to clean water--which was not the case where I lived, either from pollution or bacteria.
  19. Forget the soap, just wash with water.

When I lived in the bush in East Africa, the villagers still went to town to buy a lot of soap to wash themselves, as they don't use toilet paper when going into the pits. They are very hygienic and don't want to wash with just water. So I don't think I'd just wash with water alone, regardless of skin bacteria.

  21. Current Events Discussion

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for this. It will make a huge difference for everyone by making this change. EDIT: I do not want access. I am happier not looking at politics and prefer to keep my political life and discussions away from cultivation life. Rarely do I see people with competence and maturity in discussing both cultivation and politics, so it can get ugly very fast for the people involved and uncomfortable for the people watching them. and frankly speaking, I am not too great myself when dealing with people who piss me off, so this is a good way to hide the cookie jar from me on the top shelf with the child safety lock too....
  22. Combat Tai Chi set by Mark Cheng

I will simply link something Sifu Terry Dunn has said about Mark Cheng, whose qualifications are debunked in his comments on this thread. But if it's too much for you, then tl;dr: don't waste your time on Mark Cheng.
  23. And others deliberately misinterpret when responding in order to troll those whom they're responding to, if we go by some historical bans in this forum.
  24. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

Yes--I have done both Zhan Zhuang and Flying Phoenix one after the other, and they are a good complement. Just make sure your Zhan Zhuang is taught to you properly and your understanding is good, otherwise, Flying Phoenix will be there to help heal any potential injuries you get from standing improperly.
