First time reading Dune is a magical affair--was in northern Sri Lanka and my time was torn between Arrakis and Kilinoichi because I couldn't get my mind out of what still reads as a masterpiece today even amidst the parallel world that I was working in that time. If you've consumed Dune as a movie or miniseries (or even the fantastic PC game Dune 2 by Westwood Studios), then you'll still enjoy the book. If you know nothing, you'll still love it! Caveat: the new editions contain revised texts by Brian Herbert to match the new canon that he wrote. If you have older editions from before the 2000s, read those instead. Brian has ruined the universe with his prequels and the shitty sequel that concluded after Chapterhouse Dune.

I watched part of this episode before! It's fantastic! ...but here in Manila, there are no places for Russian or Polish food, but there's a Yugoslavian restaurant here that may have closed down already. If it's native here, I probably would need to know the local name, and it may be more recognized in the areas with regional dialects. Might be harder to find seeds online or to ask at the market from the farmers since those are all now closed and no one can come in from the provinces....

Might be tough to procure here as my area now has additional lockdown measures starting today given that the virus is now at 140 people nationwide in barely a short stretch of time since the last tally. The only things open will be the grocery in limited capacity with few people allowed in, banks, and pharmacies. And if procuring it if it's indigenous here, my condo might need a few extra pots to handle growing it. Are you with a good stock of these to use yourself? Most people here are just going to use their left hand and a bucket of water, but we are approaching summer and the inevitable drought from climate change affecting the usual rain patterns....
