  1. The perfect weapon

People your age would know from The Magical Place known as TV Land, chap. And you are the butt of that joke, finally, young ape. Ah, you're John Kramer, aka Jigsaw! Flowers in the Attic and Room were the books and film that are way ahead of you, which are modeled after real life already. Don't worry, Frank Grimes: I'm done--unless you call me back again. Huh huh, huh. Heh heh, m heh heh.
  2. The perfect weapon

See, I was on my way out, but ya called me in again, so here I am: honey I'm home! But I'm not Ward Cleaver, I'm Ralph Kramden. Flying her home was a risk--there's no denying there was a self-interest that came before the rest of the world--but this is understandable and common. Quarantining her at home rather than going to actual medical professionals or self-reporting, however, is the issue, old boy.
  3. The perfect weapon

"Self-serving" as mentioned earlier. Enough from me, just had to point this out on my way out.
  4. The perfect weapon

Ok... but seek some help please. Back to topic. Ah, right, ad hominem towards me and then avoiding the issue when confronted by redirecting it. Typical coward. No worries about me saying much else--nothing new and nothing different about your behavior. Steve: I yield this thread back to you and the others as I've made my point about what you posited and excuse myself now from this brief diversion addressing this reprobate.
  5. False dichotomy, jumping from one extreme to the other. Read Hermann Hesse's Siddartha and recall the observation he made: there is no difference between someone who hides in a temple in deep contemplation than there is a in drunkard hiding in front of his mug, as both are trying to escape rather than seek balance. Recall a Zen analogy mentioned before: there is as much enlightenment in a temple as there is a brothel.
  6. The perfect weapon

I see emotional appeals that are insincere and an offense to reason and good taste, which reeks of the egregiously disdainful "Checkers" speech of Richard M. Nixon. I see someone who tries to portray himself as relatable and caring for others in the manner of Oskar Schindler and John Rabe, but whose historical actions have revealed more of an opportunist in the vein of Talleyrand and Alcibiades. It is not the first time you have had false modesty, false openness, and false reasoning to support your agenda as you rearrange simple facts into a spin that justifies your interests, but I need not repeat what has already been said and identified by many members of this forum. While it is established that you can eat anything in China and ethics or sanitation aren't commonly practiced, you have yet to show anything that goes against your opportunistic ways. Starjumper's post does not offend me as it is incomplete without citing sources, but his reasoning has been consistent in that he questions authority, not necessarily for his individual gain. Yours has consistently been more in the vein of the Vichy government: talking about order and keeping everyone safe, but disregarding those who don't buy your narrative and suffering the consequences.
  7. The perfect weapon

Steve, I make no effort to hide my contempt for dawei even if I’ve tried to bury the hatchet before, but that went nowhere with him. His reasoning has often had a taint of self-serving agenda, whereas your original post comes from a different place which I presume is about questioning authority. So I’ll own my juvenile insult because I hold dawei in contempt, as he could support the conventional narrative as well, but it will reflect his self-serving agenda, whereas your analyses tend to be based on not taking anything at face value and wanting to know and question “reality” while seeking truth. Where you get your sources is where we disagree on the matter, however. To respond to the issue you put forth coming from Polish sources, I don’t know which publications you’re referencing without citing, but generally speaking, disinformation doesn’t just come from governments nor is it exclusive to the US, as it is also manufactured by PR firms who are contracted by not just governments, but business interests. I do suspect however that the banking interests would benefit from both the conspiracy and conventional narratives.
  8. The perfect weapon

To the surprise of no one, dawei, tax benefit Trumpster and Jeff acolyte in spite of studying under JAJ, and who once mentioned he and his partner like Xi, puts forth nonsense again from conspiracy-driven framework. Soon, it will be the return of the right wing here, but at least he and Karen aren’t protecting and promoting them while gagging critics.

  10. The perfect weapon

He was being sarcastic referencing a point that anti-vaxxers make.
  11. A pat on the head more like it. ”Well done, son!”
  12. Everyone post some favorite quotes!

  13. Looking for wards or protections is like taking pills: they will never address the root, and the issue is Heartbreak has problems that begin with his username and attitude, made worse by his lack of knowledge.
  14. Except at your level of understanding and cultivation, most external forces are projections more than they are the actual beings you claim to deal with now. Most people who have actually met such beings can’t handle it as it is quite frightening and yet wonderful simultaneously for benevolent beings, while the malevolent beings often mask themselves as benign—such as the one that is in charge of Jeff and his cult.
  15. I don’t see any anti-vaccine stance here, but shaking as a practice for vitality. Good vitality means robust health making one stronger against ailments, but doesn’t say the virus is eliminated. It’s like making your body a harder target for the virus, but even as I do my own qi practice, I still get immunizations (except flu shots).
  16. How/why does qigong work?

I meant the OP, not SJ, as I replied on the first page. I even said intent and visualization are different, and not necessarily focusing on LDT as someone else gave as an example.
  17. How/why does qigong work?

Careful, the OP dismissed the first response I gave--qi follows yi--as bullshit! Of course, as spelled out later, the devil is in the details, but those details come from experience and from guidance, not from interacting with idiots pretending to be interested in learning something or discussing it.
  18. What are the oldest Chinese Taoist myths?

FALSE DICHOTOMY!!! TOTALLY UNTRUE!!! You make up things and actually believe them! That's right: because you don't listen to anyone who actually knows what they are talking about, and those who do are aware that you just want them to endorse your fake and unsubstantiated claims! Perhaps you'll try to convince people that smoking cigarettes is healthy for you, too.
  19. How/why does qigong work?

Yes, they're usually different, but it's not unheard of to see a martial technique also have cultivation purposes and vice-versa.
  20. How/why does qigong work?

The in-person character observations are really important for giving these techniques, honestly. My teacher knew I had a lot of anger and outright rage, and I made no effort to hide how i wanted to use what I learned if anyone messed with me. What he revealed was that my anger was real, but my character had a lot more restraint than I realized because he saw that in our tuishou how I was with others. He said, “Son, you really just want to be loved and don’t want to hurt others or be hurt. I guarantee if I teach you these skills that you’ll never use them because you care.” I learned them. I also realized that they were a lot more than just harming others with them because of other esoteric applications.
  21. How/why does qigong work?

I meant “friendship is magic” haha. But close enough.
  22. How/why does qigong work?

Hey, as they say, “friendship is forever”! ...if anyone gets it, then I’ll laugh jovially.
  23. How/why does qigong work?

The signature isn’t for resell value—it’s to have a part of him on a very personal level beyond that part of him in the book!
