The Hindu discussion form is usually quiet and I personally don’t have much to say since I have my own Vedic teacher for ten years now in the practice of mantra yoga and read the old texts casually. But, with Dwai, whose Taijiquan is still good here and an active thread going on, I think this warrants taking a look. Okay, Dwai, so since we’ve heard a lot of criticism against this teacher, let’s change the channel and turn our attention to a serious question then: what is the appeal of this guy to you, how, and why? I personally am not drawn to his words, so as a fellow practitioner of IMA at least, I am curious to know how he passes your scrutiny, because the Dwai seal of approval means I can consider something I may not be able to see myself initially when someone else of merit gives the thumbs up.

While I agree that the document is confusing and quite stupid (and it was also posted in response to gendao in the pillow thread), I think if I understand his intentions, he's essentially posting garbage as a means of saying, "Hey, gendao morbid drivel is as stupid as this crap and is basically unsubtle anti-semitic ranting hidden in horrible writing" just like gendao connects EVERYTHING to Christianity, colonialism, and aliens, whether people want to hear it or not and how far divorced from a topic it is. You've definitely had more positive interactions there. My own experience come from talent and producers or writers, then the indie folk. Ever wonder if Jim himself scrutinized people to let them study Mo Pai with him? Or if he held them to the scientific testing video evidence and such that they demand? I left the industry for a reason. I worked at the time in what I believed was the least taxing position of being a reporter, but that itself had its own social climbers and namedroppers, so I left that too. What I loved and still do remotely now is voiceover work, where everyone is chill and none of this crap has come up until recently, where now, people are being given shit for voicing characters of different ethnicities. Someone told me I should be offended a white guy was chosen to voice a Chinese guy over me, and I was puzzled because I even agreed the guy did a better job hitting the character the casting director and producer were looking for (he's also a friend of mine, so we're happy when we all get work and support one another), and what was stupid ten years ago is now happening regularly. I don't equate safety for people from perverts with political correctness--I find that the political correctness used the Me Too movement to piggyback or Trojan Horse its way into a series of controls and mechanisms to check that are designed by people who don't know what they're doing (lawyers, activists, and social media influencers who have never worked in any industry they demand change in, representing often people who couldn't get along and use this movement to get ahead). Buddy, friends of mine in Hollywood could tell you it is exactly as bad as you describe. Both writers and actors, and even one producer.
