It was more than just bearable for him.

If you have qi deviation, don't do ZZ without getting an okay from someone like Eric Isen. In fact, go consult him now before doing anything--the only safe practices for you are Baduanjin as I'd see it and physical fitness. Also, how you do ZZ is going to make a difference, as most people here I have spoken with do not know even the basic practice correctly, and this isn't just me as an elitist or from a Yi Quan background, but seeing multiple mistakes and assumptions some people make about ZZ that show they actually at worst aren't even doing ZZ, they're harming themselves by creating more tension rather than relaxing.

Baduanjin is safe (seated and standing versions). Zhan Zhuang as we do it is only for health, the martial variant I teach is only for students who pass not just the health and fitness test, but the character test. The stretches by the way are more than you will find in Charles Atlas or Harry Wong's books, and aside from no pictures, a lot more detailed than Atlas...

The name of this song is probably the most appropriate theme for the WMPs. The name of the band is appropriate to describe the people in the group.
-
There's not that much detail because as it says in the beginning, it's a work in progress and isn't meant to put us in full lotus, just for basic fitness. The qigong component here for the program is only Baduanjin and Zhan Zhuang.

Sumer: the "black-headed" vs. the "red-faced"
Earl Grey replied to Taomeow's topic in General Discussion
I would say the slavery that exists today in modern Southeast Asia is worse than it was precolonial and precapitalistic times! But yes, not a fan of slavery nor am I saying it was ever better in another culture or time, just describing a different place. -
Hey, you're right. He had his death hotline and laughed about it as being part of the journey. I'm just sad that someone who was very influential to me and who appeared with Jack Kornfield and on Duncan Trussel podcasts that I would wake up to a world without him, just like every year, I say goodbye to people like Bowie, Prince, Aretha, and so on...and to me I'm still living with a lot of grief since Kurt Cobain died, but at least I'm not like those old women who insisted in the 90s that Elvis was still alive! Hai... My parents grew up listening to it and taking acid, and I inherited my dad's worn copy as well as bought my own. Both remain in my possession, and I independently returned to him on my own. The more I listen to his recordings, the more I feel I reconnect with my parents before they separated. Baba, we love you and thank you for the wisdom.

There are some systems that you can’t even practice by that amount of time separation. Spontaneous can’t be practiced at all if you do sleeping qigong or relaxation qigong. Spontaneous can only be done on a different day you did Relaxation but has to not be done at all if you do sleeping qigong—you need to stop one or the other two weeks before doing sleeping qigong or spontaneous. Flying Phoenix can be done with any of the above three. But if you do Fragrant? You can’t do ANY of the above due to the abstract breathing and mental focus fragrant forbids.

Sumer: the "black-headed" vs. the "red-faced"

Well, diverting briefly to a different place...slaves in culture groups from precolonial times around what is now modern day Southeast Asia—especially those who we identify as Siam and Angkor—were more like indentured servants who could buy their own freedom. Some even voluntarily became slaves to pay off debts and were treated as family members, a far cry from how they were treated in the New World. -
Based on your history of practice, you’re not at a level of even having developed the dantian. If anything, now that you have your advice from Isen, best to stick with that before jumping into something else. Flying Phoenix by the way is not known to go well with Inner Smile according to Sifu Terry. You can ask Isen how good Inner Smile and six healing sounds are for you.

First question: what is the issue they are trying to correct? Second question: what are your experiences with chiropractors, whom physiotherapists claim to be gentler and superior to in some regards? I can only speak for chiropractors with the spine work that did wonders on a couple people I know. I also know of people who do the Dorn method, and that is a longer but also a gentle process.

I knew a guy who was all about MMA and about as Frat Boy as could be, no interest in the arts, not even liberal arts or humanities and social sciences. Son of a guy in the FBI, ate pork day in, day out, fought in some MMA competitions and is training to be in UFC. His birthday party theme and his crush is Taylor Swift, and him dancing about as gracefully as a hippo with an anvil welded to his joints, but hey, he liked the music, it was his birthday, so...

Sumer: the "black-headed" vs. the "red-faced"

Steve Dallas, Milo Bloom, Michael Binkley, Bill the Cat, and Oliver Holmes are watching television. They've all agreed to watch one show, uninterrupted, Sumer: The Black-Headed vs. The Red-Faced, with your host, Taomeow. Opus, however, sticks his big nose in and keeps talking about aliens and Christian colonialism every 15 minutes, breathing his sardine-breath in front of everyone's faces, people who are trying to watch and figure out what's going on and chiming in every now and then to make some comments related to the show. End result: Steve Dallas puts his cigarette out on Opus's nose and doesn't care if blob-butt calls him "mall security" because he's trying to watch the damned show and learn something. Now, back to topic... -

There's also this guy who offers people certificates for taking his workshop--pieces of paper with his signature and name on it saying that he declares them INTUITIVE.

Check out Beurin University--it is accredited, but the accrediting body is owned by the owner and founder of Beurin University--in essence, he accredited himself...

And I shall now leave ANOTHER bit of information from John Chang himself that was written back to Jim in his letters for this impunity of yours. JC said to Jim that if he truly wanted to keep improving since he was no longer authorized to teach him more, to go out and find a nature spirit to teach him. A nature spirit! How does this fall under objective evidence, video, and scientists? Hmmm....I wonder....

It was never about "losing an argument" (which you lost as everyone can see, especially as you never responded to the points I repeated about non-native speakers or those with learning disabilities multiple times), it was about the ad hominem and the straw man arguments, and the calling me out in the original title. You will never see this, and you will continue on this dead end path. ...If I say so.

Riiiiiight from the guy who still hasn't apologized for even this at least, which is a personal attack:
-
I disagree. He's not a mentally challenged liar... He is mentally challenged, a liar, and an asshole.
-
Accreditation, right, from a guy who said earlier In reference to the Harvard analogy of not having any authorization to teach or to claim they are Harvard/Mo Pai students. Jim isn't accredited, Jim isn't authorized to teach, Jim didn't know anything beyond 4% of his system, tops. More mental gymnastics...
-
Nah dude, you see Mo Pai Level 3, I see that and naked chicks! ...oh wait, it's 2 girls 1 cup... never mind...
-
Wow, you didn’t even try. Following instructions from me is so difficult for you, yet you claim to learn from what you have from Jim. Nothing is congruent or consistent with you.
