Hello Dao Bums. I am just now wading into a deeper level of Daoism after being aware of the "essence" of The Way for a while. At my core I finally feel a calmness guiding me to further investigate these teachings, and so I am here today following this magnetism. When I studied various philosophies before, it was generally not from a healthy place - it was more a place of veiled, corrupted desperation, the inferior self tainting the ideas of spirituality even. However, with time and discipline, I am beginning to catch the motives behind studying, and trying to seperate what is unhealthy from what is not. This is the first time I have been guided to studying (or at least guided where I have sensed it), for it is also the first time there has been no blinding excitement/compulsion/expectations in the beginnings of the undertaking.
