  1. may we call this Rigpa?

What does it mean when all of my dreams are exclusively happening in the town i lived 20-25 years ago and all the characters in my dreams are also from that same period? That was the period when i was still relatively young and living with my parents. For very long time(3 years maybe) i haven't had any dreams relating to my present life, friends, family, circumstances. One other aspect is that all of these dreams that i am having are filled with the threat of violence, running from something or someone, killing someone, running from police or other unpleasant situations..etc..
  2. may we call this Rigpa?

Rigpa is knowledge that the present mind is the basis of samsara and nirvana.
  3. may we call this Rigpa?

Rigpa does not dwell within nor without.Rigpa is something much simpler and natural then what you've described.
  4. That is not the view of Mengagde but is the view of semde. Everything that arises, good or bad , is the manifestation of natural state, therefore empty and beyond being samsara or nirvana.
  5. There will be rainbows at my death.... if you wait long enough
  6. Tension Behind Eyes

    No need to bend mind.
  7. Nirvana is...

Good. Now that we established what you wanted to say, let's see if this makes sense from the dzogcgen perspective. First, what is the primordial wisdom of the example ? Second, this expression "the primordial widsom of an arya bodhisattva in meditative equipoise" is a bit vague. What exactly do you mean by it ?
  8. Nirvana is...

Sometime your sentences don't make sense. Did you mean to say that "dzogchen doesn't talk from the point of view of the primordial wisdom of the example but the actual primordial wisdom of an arya bodhisattva in meditative equipoise ". As a sentence this would make more sense.
  9. Nirvana is...

    Yes, already here.
  10. Hi, I am not familiar with the way of tao or spirit so i wouldnt know what this all means. My avatar is a joke and is directed at those who have limited views about dzogchen.
  11. Tantras I am more of an intelectual rather than a practitioner. So my understanding comes from that direction which of course is not complete. In the context of this discussion lets take the example of Chatral Rinpoche who is considered one of the greatest contemporary dzogchen masters. He refused to talk to even very knowledgeable established very well known teachers. Why is that ? Because he considered it to be a waste of time and because he thought that they don't really understand dzogchen and their behaviour in the world is not representative of the true dzogchen view.
  12. Dzogchen is very difficult to understand. If you think you do think again. It takes years of clarifications and arduous study and practice. In some texts it says that even advanced spiritual beings dont understand the nature of dzogchen. So with that in mind please consider this fact when some very well read scholars start showering you with quotes from tantras, debating openly about deep dificult to grasp concepts found in dzogchen tantras and so on. It would be a grave mistake to take these people's words as authoritative in matters concerning dzogchen even if they have titles to their names or write books.
  13. But lots of people practice guru deva dakini repetitions as part of the dzogchen curriculum
  14. The tantric ngondro is composed of common and uncommon preliminaries. The common are reflections on karma impermanence, human birth ,suffering and so on. The uncommon are the famous prostrations to the three roots, bodhicitta, mandala, vajrasattva and guru yoga. Apart from the preliminary reflections there are no similarities between dzogchen ngondro abd the tantric one. In dzogchen one focuses on training the.mind through experiences of clarity sensation and emptiness then one continues by doing the rushans and semdzins which again are tottaly different.
  15. There are 2 types of ngondro. One is tantric and the other one is dzogchen specific. If you want to develop understanding clarity and capacity after introduction you need to do dzogchen ngondro.
  16. All teachings that ever existed are expressions of natural state and that, of course, includes tantra.Consequently we cannot say that tantra is superior or inferior to dzogchen since dzogchen cannot be superior or inferior to itself.
  17. All views are cognitive errors but they are simultaneously manifestations of primordial wisdom.
  18. Zoom ... do you still combine housework with thogal ? http://thedaobums.com/topic/37912-my-first-thodgal-vision/?p=615308
  19. Must i be a member to read old threads and recognise similarities between Zoom dude and Wells dude ?
  20. Every experience is known. Why is this difficult to understand ?But just knowing experience doesnt suffice because you are only knowing it as an object. But when we look at the root of this experience and the nature of this experience then we are getting closer in recognising that which is unconditioned. And we understand this unconditioned reality by recognision how this was always with us and no matter what we do we cannot produce it destroy it increase it or making more of it.
  21. What knows experience ? Is rigpa. But a more coarse type of rigpa. Experience doesnt arise in a vacuum. What knows the source of experience and its nature is true rigpa. So experiences no matter how wonderful or mundane they are all known and that which knows should be our concern.
  22. An experience it is a temporary occurrence. Rigpa doesnt arises from causes and therefore is not the result of a process that involves effort and activity.
  23. Because rigpa is not an experience.
  24. I dont deny that they are his experiences. But they are not rigpa. How could you possibly know what my understanding of rigpa is when i haven't said a word yet. you just look silly proclaiming that you already know what my understanding is.
