  3. Sperm generation insight

Im not into retention, but I do believe we must replace what sexual energy we lost during sex so that our sexual energy reserves remain topped up. I practice the deer exercise twice a day from Stephen Changs book "The complete System of Self Healing" and I must say my sexual energy is very high, so I can ejaculate 2 times a day with no ill effects in terms of energy loss. I also do Crane breathing and Turtle breathing for Chi cultivation and to strength the Internal organs and Nervous System. I highly recommend his book, he has a very different aprroach compared to Winn. Daniel
  4. Yoda, here is the video for the breathing technique. http://www.taobum.com/plato/video_4.wmv Daniel
  5. I was flicking through "The Complete System of Self Healing" the other day and was very impressed with some of the practices in the book as they seem so simple and straight forward. I was very impressed with the seated Qigong exercises like the Deer, Turtle and Crane breathing exercises as well as the meditations like brain cleansing as well. This is a very different form of Qigong that is very different to anything else I have ever seen in all the books I have read. Does anyone have this book and practice any of the techniques and what do you guys think of Stephen Chang. Im definately getting this book, his approach seems to rely less on vizualisations and is more focused on simple breathing techniques. Daniel

  7. Stephan Changs book

I got it today and am very pleased with this book, the techniques are so simple and powerful especially the breathing meditations, I would have purchased this book just for those alone, but this book has so much good stuff in it, I dont think I will need anything else anymore. Daniel
  8. I have been studying the practices outlined in Michael Frosts book "Choosing Life, Guidlines to avaioding extinction" and have come to a road block as to what I should do. I have been doing the six healing sounds for a while now and I am looking at doing the Orbit instead, at the moment I do Sounds in the evening and the meditation for the lower triangle in the morning with a bit of massage. I really want to keep my routine simple, so is it a good idea to do the orbit without doing the healing sounds inconjuntion. The only reason I ask is Winn once wrote that if you dont do the sounds your 5 shen spirits will sabbotage the orbit meditation. Im not really into all of the Shen spirit theory that Winn goes into, I do these Taoist practices for the mind/body benefits as well as spirtual growth. any opinions.. Daniel
  9. Help with my daily practices

I like doing the sounds with the movements, one thing I dont really like doing when doing the sounds is the picture this, feel this. I just like to do the sound with the posture, I feel all the other visualizations distract me from the sounds. I guess Im not a very visual person, Im more into the movement, postures and breathing practices. In regards too the Deer exercise the benefits have been pretty amazing, I get a really good buzz after doing it and Ive noticed my sexual energy and performance has gotten much better. anyone else do the deer with good results?
  10. Help with my daily practices

Its not really a time thing, I just want to keep my routine really simple, one standing practice and one seated practice. Im also doing the deer exercise whilst Im in bed in the evening, do you think I could do the sounds whilst laying in bed after I do the deer exercise. How about this AM Meditation for the lower triangle Massage, arms, legs, torso and head PM Inner Smile Orbit Deer Exercise Six healing sounds or massage fingers in creation order. Daniel
  11. Ming Men

GT, You are right about doing the entire 11 minutes. I did it for the first time today and found it hard to get to 3 minutes, but I guess if I increase by a minute every week or two I should be able to achieve the full 11 minutes. I noticed I felt very charged up just after 3 minutes and actually felt sexually rev'd up, maybe its all the jing that this meditation builds. I was re-reading the benefits of doing the "Gate of Life" and one really important side effect is the increase in Testosterone and DHEA from doing this meditation, both these hormones are very important in living a long an healthy life. The book does not state what to focus the mind on so I assume you just concentrate on the pose and be mindfull at the same time. Do you do it seated on standing, Im going to do it standing as I feel more comfortable that way, at the moment my daily routine in "Gate of Life" in the morning and "Healing Sounds in the Evening. Daniel
  12. Ming Men

Im reading "Choosing Life, guidlines to avoiding extinction" by Michael Frost at the moment, in this book there is a mediation called the "Gate of Life" meditation. Michael states this meditation restores the adrenals and leads to an increase in DHEA also, its so simple its unbelievable you just put your arms into a certain mudra and stay still, no breath patterns or vizualisations required. Im starting to incorporate it daily and will give an update in a couple of months to let everyone know how I am feeling, he states this one meditation can restore ones health in every aspect. I believe it comes from the Indian Yoga tradition. Gand Trinity, what have been your results with the "Gate of Life". Daniel
  13. What are you reading?

Neimad, Get a copy he really has a simple perspective on things and does not get too overcomplicated, Im really taking my time reading this book so that I can absorb it all. DC
  14. What are you reading?

Choosing Life...Guidelines to Avoiding Extinction by Michael Frost This has to be the best book I have purchased on Taoist health practices, there are some really great insights in this book and a meditation called the "Gate of Life Meditation" which I have never seen before, this book is taking me to a new level in my practice. Here is the website for more info. http://choosinglife.com/ Daniel
  15. Hey all, Matthew Qi recommended "Spiritual Qigong" by David Twicken and I must say I am very impressed with this book, its very straight forward and things are explained in plain English. The descriptions on the Six healing sounds are great as well as the Inner Smile and Microcosmic orbit, the only thing that I have noticed is he doesn't do the arm movments with the sounds, its done in a more meditative style in a static seated posture. The more advanced Kan & Li meditations are also described in the book in a step by step fashion but I think it will be a few years before I even consider attempting those, for now Im just going to stay dedicated to the Six Healing Sounds, Inner Smile and the Orbit. Could one just do these practices for ever or would you have to eventualy progress to the Kan and Li stuff. Daniel
  16. On a previous post somebody mentioned this book by Michael Frost, so I did a search and found this website www.choosinglife.com and I was very impressed with what I read, Im still new to the Tao and thought this book will help me on my path. Has anyone read it and if so what were your opinions of it. Daniel
  17. Orgasm

I need some sort of sexual practice, I cannot go a day without having to ejaculate.
  18. Yep it was you who recommended it, now Im really hanging to read this book, can you tell me a little more about the book covers.
  19. sperm production

Hey Yoda, Check out a herb called Cordyceps, this stuff is great for male sexual function and is a very potent Kidney tonic. Daniel
  20. The only thing with Mantak's audio tapes is he is very hard to understand.
  21. Hi all, Im new to this site and came here via the HT forum, Ive been into Chi Kung and Meditation for about 2 years now and have tried a variety of Chi Kung forms/styles, Im currently playing around with Michael Winns Chi Kung Fundementals 1 & 2 but I am not entirely sure about this guys practices. In his audio tapes he is very metaphysical and Philosophical while being very short on theory regarding the actual techniques. I have came across this book titled "The Tao of Meditation: Way to Enlightenment" by Tsung Hwa Jou" and this book looks like it breaks down Taoist meditation into a very easy and understandable format. Has anyone read it, if so is it a good starting point for a beginner?? Daniel
  22. Hey Matthew, Thanks for the recommendation, I have just placed an order for "Spiritual Qigong" at Amazon, that book is exactly what I was looking for. Daniel
  23. Thanks for the replys, truthfully celibacy is not my cup of tea, but I suppose I can still utilise all of the techniques from the book. Matthew are the meditations similar in anyway to what Michael teaches or is it a different path alltogether. Daniel
