Healing Bipolar Disorder: meditation or gong?

Allopathic is good for emergencies. For everything else there's awareness. -
Observations on Invisibility for Self Defense
WisteriaWinds replied to TheSunTheMoonTheStars's topic in Newcomer Corner
Unfortunately for you, you're on a forum for spiritual cultivators. REAL cultivators have a high level of perspicacity and are not pushovers. True spiritual growth does that. If they think they're being scammed they're not going to "move on", they're likely to press you until you prove you're legit or until you move on. -
Observations on Invisibility for Self Defense
WisteriaWinds replied to TheSunTheMoonTheStars's topic in Newcomer Corner
Its good to position oneself in a low visibility position, such as the back of a room, and then amplify the effect using one's mind. That is practical invisibility. But I do think most people interested in the siddhi of invisibility are referring to techniques such as mudras and intonations which would render them unseen even if they stood directly in front of everyone or walked down an open corridor. -

Observations on Invisibility for Self Defense
WisteriaWinds replied to TheSunTheMoonTheStars's topic in Newcomer Corner
TheSunTheMoonTheStars forgot to mention he is charging $700 if you want to learn. I like to play with energy, but not for $700. So there's that. -
To be fair, not really. Psychology tends to try to measure constructs. For example, self esteem. Look at any peer-reviewed journal article on self esteem and you'll see the methods include measuring things which are assumed to indicate the presence of self esteem. So the existence of the thing being studied is presupposed. This is common throughout the domain of the philosophy of psychology.

I wore glasses starting in third grade as I could no longer read what was on the blackboard. Refused to wear them anymore starting in 10th or 11th grade, palmed (shoulda mentioned that before), and started doing the aforementioned eye work. By senior year I had 20/10 vision and entered the Army without required corrective lenses. I still have 20/10 and that was many, many, moons ago. So, yes, interesting someone has to do that to fix their eyes but all the relaxed sitting doesn't do it.

I believe the circles continue but change form and this is what a spiral is.

I do all my wyrdness with my eyes. I don't use my hands like most people. Practice expressing different emotions in a mirror using only your eyes. How small can you move? I used to practice staring at small objects and FORCING them to move, refusing to accept failure. It worked. This may not be wise. Its exhausting! These two things let you do lots of other cool stuff though. The eyes and intention become one.

I had similar concerns but knew I couldn't lose the realization I had attained so I went forward with it. Surprisingly my energy amplified. I've had no ill effects and only positive ones.

Yeah, energy follows economics. People should have a college level text on micro- and macro-economics sitting next to their Bible and Tao Te Ching. -
Maybe sitting in an adrenaline, highly aware state is how our ancestors started meditating. As they experienced various phenomena, maybe their motives for sitting/standing changed. Maybe the chakras represent an evolution in a person's motives for Paying Attention To What Is Going On. Notice the critter in the photo is upright. When we increase awareness our spines go upright. Just ideas.

Its easier to forgive when you realize you're not required to forget.

Healing Bipolar Disorder: meditation or gong?
WisteriaWinds replied to Jah2075's topic in Daoist Discussion
I'm not going to reveal a lot of who I am on the internet, but I can definitively say this is not true. -
If you're empty of intent, your body should at some point do this automatically and it is very, very powerful....

Healing Bipolar Disorder: meditation or gong?

Seated and still during the mania. Standing and walking during the depressive. Get a good psychiatrist involved and consider medication as much a part of your discipline as meditation. -

I don't believe in reincarnation but i do believe in rebirth. Thats due to my own meditative experiences. I do believe Jesus resurrected. I find it interesting he didnt come back and refute his previous teachings. Now, did he mean "hell" the way it's taught? I'm not sure, but I lean away from it. One of the main things meditation has taught me is I only know what I know. -

Thighs parallel horse stance, magnesium, zinc, and selenium...all daily. See if celibacy makes sense to you anymore. If it does, keep it up. Otherwise, give it up. Listen to your body. -
