"I also don't think that editing should be alllowed, but it may not be possible to not give that along with the power to hide." Indeed it is possible, my PPF was set up so I could hide posts and lock topics, but not edit the content of other people's replies. When I complained about ĺ°ć˘Śćł editing the content of my posts, I was upgraded to be able to edit posts as well. For the record, I do not want that ability, just ĺ°ć˘Śćł's ability to edit the content of other's messages removed.

I guess if I were looking at that file and assuming that is all it was I would agree with you.
-
Everyone in our group agrees with this statement.
-
I would be careful taking our side too much, you'll become a target here.
-
What was shared isn't the same as what we have.
-
Since I was told not to have further discussion here, I have been replying to you in the MoPai thread: https://www.thedaobums.com/topic/44486-long-men-pai-nei-gong-and-mo-pai/?page=56
-
Yes, it is if the lineage in question is MoPai, and it is being discussed here on this forum.
-
At least you get to see how we are treated here, and why other members of our group never mention they are members. I am not here making the claim full lotus is not important, but Jim did manage to complete his training without using it. I think it would be best to stick to what John originally said as much as is possible, and that is what we do, present what he said.
-
That must be awkward indeed
-
alfheim, I am not sure if you wrote it or if ĺ°ć˘Śćł edited it, but John did teach to make progress one must be in "actual meditation", and that sitting and breathing is approximately 2% as effective as being in "actual meditation". These are quotes from John himself, given in both Kosta's public work and private teachings. It is not something we are making up.

Yes I am, and now so is everyone else

Hey Kar3n do you want to pretend nothing happened this time?

As funny as it might seem to you, being a freethinker, and basing our beliefs on the best objective evidence available to us, and our own first-hand observation, is the only option for us. To us believing something becomes someone else says so aka "personal testimony", or because a book says so, or because of faith, are not good reasons to believe something. We aren't trying to pass ourselves off as philosophers, we only maintain this is a common sense and down to earth perspective. For the record, I am not an atheist, but I am still a freethinker.

Things don't have to make sense. In an email argument with another member here they kept insisting how our group was a bunch of con-artists out for money. No amount of saying we have never charged anyone, and we have never accepted donations, would do any good. Nope, money is what we want according to him, and nothing I could say would change that. Then they tell me we need to be like a teacher that does charge thousands of dollars for a bogus practice. The problem is you can't play chess if the other person is playing checkers. We could post a video of John giving instruction on level 1, and they would argue that it was either fake, mistranslated, or John couldn't teach in English. If you could reason with unreasonable people, there would be no unreasonable people.
-
Brian, it's not a secret, sitting and breathing isn't "actual meditation".
-
From Kosta's public work TMOJ "Meditation is like the borderline between sleep and waking, between consciousness and unconsciousness.â "I will enter total meditationâlike the borderline between sleep and waking, okay?"
-
John said that sitting and breathing is about 2% as effective as being in actual meditation. That is what was taught. If you want to argue this is not so, then so be it.
-
ĺ°ć˘Śćł, It is both in the emails Jim sent us, and on video.

What the wire gets attached to isn't something I've discussed here because it will create an argument no matter what answer is given, grounding plate, pizza pan, foot, gooch, etc. sharing any information will become a point of attack.
-
He also gave instruction on how to use a grounding wire and claimed John provided that instruction for him if the weather did not permit sitting outside. None of that was in your instructions and should have been if you are working with our copy.

He said he used a tent with the bottom cut out of it during his training, that's not an opinion.
