frog or toad whatever it is looks like it is sitting on aloe branch. not that that matters. I enjoy the detail of the dragonfly great photos. even an amphibian needs out of the rain at times. very cute miniature umbrella. I still not posting photos. I will describe one or maybe a few it was about sunset so the lighting was superb.... I was at the cemetery-a hang out when I need a slice of nature and quiet and photos are always plentiful. simply put the lighting on a cattail-just a few brief moments makes the difference between what I consider a great photo vs a not great photo. anyway its almost sunset or sunset is happening. I see lots of headstones face the west and many have great reflection of sun or lighting. I see one spectacular one as I had gotten out of the car and walked the hillside. this one said the name withers... it is mostly black marble and then some lines of gold. the name in gold- well I take maybe 15 photos in the span of 10 minutes, maybe 5 at one point just the gold is reflecting so much everything else around looks black-- I don't know enough of photography to describe what I am attempting to describe. just a progression of lighting changing....and a damn cool headstone. dragonflies are not out yet that I have seen. maybe once it is a little warmer consistently. they seem to enjoy being photographed. maybe not. they just will be still for a very long time and not fly away like say a butterfly. also a beautiful picture of red bud tree. our mostly first to bloom in the area. mostly wild. on the sides of the highways and in the woods alongside dogwoods. they are just now peeping out. anyway beautiful pink from red bud with lots of brilliant green in contrast behind the red bud. I don't know what it is with photography. some photos just are the picture and some are not. had I know the red bud photo turned out so well I would have taken many more. lighting. I presume. hope that is not fierce debate.

Can someone interpret a wacky dream that I had? And maybe give info on healing (or soul defense?).

anywhere you go--you are alone with you. in the woods or at the busy store shopping. that is complete bogus bullshit about apartments and portals I live in a condo.... so go back and edit your line about the apartment. you do not KNOW -
What Bhagavad Gita book, bashya or commentary do you have?
sagebrush replied to s1va's topic in Hindu Discussion
Peramadi- I do not have any books bhavagad gita...so I looked on internet search last evening. wrote down a few things on what I read.. I saw no reference to any clap pot. Would you mind adding the sentences out of your book as they are in the typed and not your interpretation. thank you automatically was putting music to the images of the book. it started with the worn out leather edition and then I am not going to spend my day doing that. mostly I like simplified version-but I am asking for the actual words from the book.- 19 replies

there in lies the key--- "try not let the thinking mind filled with endless words get in the way....." now REALLY think that through from a POV. some homeopathy in kind. I can be a real bitch sometimes. today not so much. enjoyed the great out of doors. I have a song in the PPD file.

I can only respond that the view from here is a bit odd. albeit fantasy, dream , reality, wishful thinking, anger, fill in the blank............................................ failure is fear is and then sometimes not. finding ways to interact and be kind communicating I may find something nice to say and you might cringe--- but I am going to do it and you may reject it. :-)

Nothing good was on the cooking channel(food network) so I opted to scan Netflix last evening after about the 5 start up movies ....this one hit the spot! its a documentary with many episodes. a man decides to travel the entire world on his motorcycle/side car(named kindness 1) it is a vintage BMW bright yellow. he decides to travel with no money and rely on the KINDNESS of people he meets. On certain occasions he gifts certain people back in ways they could not imagine or expect. I watched another lecture this morning he gave while at a museum in Greece. and remembered from the original watch that he was inspired by the motorcycle diaries movie/story about Che Guevara-who traveled all over south America---more political/social medical but still the heart of adventure and humanity.

enjoyed the video of the cat pawing at the screen. l like how it would interrupt with occasional back paw cleaning. someone once posted a video some time ago that was really cute because it was so true on animal behavior.. it was of a dog and it was growling about its own back leg.....not realizing it was his own leg... humor is great. I remember once years ago hiking for days and long drive to get to home from backpacking trip laughing so much with this young military police who went on the trip. I cannot remember what was so funny but I laughed the most I had ever laughed before. I like good laughs- sweet cat too. animals are real characters at times.

I do not think it is a simple as apples. adam and eve will get dragged into the mix as well.... lets overlook the shiny apple for now.....because I am sure it is more wax. although an apple a day keeps the doctor away.. maybe just add fiber here is what I think it is: because you can't go from an apple on the shelf to immortality without some serious questions and just why would I be so cautious to just convey in simple terms that I never liked the ecstatic living book to begin with--- not a good read. maybe I have it all wrong. I certainly hope so.

just bought a used book at antique store on small gardens, although I do not think I will garden much for producing food. thinking of herbs in terra cotta pots or something like rusty buckets-whatever I find for planting. thinking of a trellis or pergola but small.-something where I can add some reeds to the top and make shade but not be oppressive to free flowing air/breezes. most of the images in the book-all of them- are not pictured gardens that are on hillsides. I have a hillside to work with for now. hoping for sunflowers too. rosemary worked well last year and I enjoy cooking with that herb. it died when I brought it inside this winter-so I start again. my mother has cat mint that I can pull up from here garden and she forewarned me it is a spreader/invasive...but I read last evening in the garden book that I can bury it in containers under the ground or partially buried. seems like the way to go. hoping the Echinacea and Russian sage come back that I planted last year. we shall see about that too. -
Tom Bailey the Grace that keeps this world there is a poem in the beginning of the book(I presume where the author gets the title) do not think me gentle because I speak in praise of gentleness, or elegant because I honor the grace that keeps this world. I am a man crude as any, gross of speech, intolerant, stubborn, angry, full of fits and furies. That I may have spoken well at times, is not natural. A wonder is what it is. Wendell Berry " a warning to my readers" I know how I came to know about Wendell Berry- one thing is for sure I cannot edit my life

why is it possible to see things as they are?
sagebrush replied to Papayapple's topic in General Discussion
I do not see things the way you do. I see things the way I do. Some of them are off that I am sure, but some not so far off -
witnessing perceiving the world, our thoughts and feelings as objects separate from Self. It is the beginning of relational self inquiry, chosen or not. it would take me a very long time to remotely understand these words. very foreign to me.and I am not even sure how I go about dissecting.comprehending. and I am not sure I like the subject matter-complex indeed. "it is much simpler to examine outside my windows at birds and simple joys from nature."

Miraculously I located the subscription page. I was not able to click on any icon to make a donation. Interested in making donation to Dao Bums website. How to? in my real world I have a tiny feather in my coin holder in the truck. soon to be my squirrel tail. certainly a coin for a koan is reason enough for today.

chopsticks were invented during the shang dynasty because Confucious associated knives with aggression- there for the chopsticks were used at the table. do you believe this?

Significance of an event's start time - influence on outcome?
sagebrush replied to s1va's topic in Hindu Discussion
I gave birth to my son on a full moon evening. His first word was moon, too. I like that he was born on a full moon. I like too that his first word was moon. WV is one of the last bastions of dark skies in the United states. This is what another new year calendar says created by its creator. Every page is a dynamite image of the night sky and at dynamite locations, many of which I have been too. I can't begin to imagine photography like that,..so for instance it might have time elapsed on the image-so stars are like one big circular swirl. I know little of constellations...maybe a few that I could name and pick in the night sky. It is beautiful to me to take the stars in at night when they are visible. I think we as a culture and this is pure speculation on my thinking -we are not in touch with stars so much. I do believe through out time stars played a major part in the life of people. Don't understand Vedic astrology. I do not go to fortune tellers. I do not understand really the basis of the significance of the events.....topic.... but I felt the need to chime in that I appreciate stars. I would like to spend more time in the mountains with nothing to do but ponder the night sky. Really though- if you are eluding to something just clearly type it please. This is what I would like to add as well. It is from my perspective as well that talking can be such a hinderance. it can be annoying at times....typing too is a challenge. but I must say that for me-I like to be right in the same room with someone communicating. Although my inner thoughts can still bounce around...I like to see. There is not a million dollar challenge here. the calendar I mention before has many great quotes as well. here is a good one: it mentions something regarding the stars have been charted or measure...something to that extent. but I do not think this is possible to know all about the entire cosmos.. I do not care who anyone teacher was/is/may be. the wonder is, not that the field of stars is so vast, but that man has measured it." Anatole france -
2:44 into it and I am blending the person he is talking about with the aboriginal singer, gurrumal. and I do not agree with the enlightenment is an old oak- no one looks twice I do not believe that. and I would not practice that philosophy. old oaks are worthy of study. and so are many trees.

ok yes poignantly typed spotless. meanwhile I am combing my field of travels and remembering a profound discovery many years ago. it was located and forgive me for my lack of eloquence in description. basically a carnivorous plant on some property of an old employer that I went to visit. off the grid in n california funny how I became aware of it... the landowners had no idea...not that that was any great loss but being good stewards of the land not sure how it went unnoticed by retired person albeit the one still holds job occasionally. so off the topic yes.... I want off the topic of the unconscious/illusions I want out of the confines of how you perceive these matters. oh yes, I could leave the forum but that is not the pricklysage I am after Darlingtonia -pitcher plant I got a few decent photos but I would love to go back and explore this rare plant. no fun in a book or over internet. I have regret that I did not spend more time at this location in hindsight the first plant ever identified was on mt Shasta. I have lots of compliments to offer. just so underdeveloped. and most likely unwanted

funy you write that. I was watching a video and I was number 666 which I disliked in my mind so I closed the video down- to return hoping the number to be 667- it was still 666...as in how many have viewed the video I am laughing now because just the ridiculousness of my thinking. the real deal with this is now just a day or two later I cannot remember the video it was good something likeable it was a female voice I will be damned if I have early altzheimers It will come to me if I relax and not be nervous about what is lacking here. not being able to track things is good and then no so good. sometimes it is scary. I had my shocks leaking gas report from the dealership free multi point inspection. returned to the shop who did install- they mentioned three were leaking the dealership detected two- the funny thing HERE is this: where does time go? I recalled the shocks were replaced this summer---I swear by my memory that it was THIS summer only to look back on the original work order and it was Nov of 2015 SHIT. I was able to get free four new ones but paid for labor twice. now I am under a two year 24k mile warranty for labor and parts. albert einsteins manifesto and he wrote it with someone else a familiar name that I once again cannot retain.
