The cool thing about TDB is I can feel relatively good about sharing my mystical experiences and people will be open to hearing them and accepting, more or less. As mystical stuff is not generally shared in everyday life, itâs good to have some spiritual friends who donât judge or disbelieve, or call up for an eval.

Actually the reset idea is very interesting to me. I'll propose my theory below: In exercise, you fatigue the body with a certain workload or exercise routine. After a month or two, you start to plateau as adaptation begins. You can either increase the workload (reps or weight), or you can change the program all together. I had a friend who became vegan 6 years ago. He felt great for a while and noticed many positive changes. He attributed this to the vegan diet. After a few years, he was not eating right. His health began to waver. Luckily he got his vegan macronutrients dialed in and all was well. Recently, he began eating meat and animal products again (long story and not important.) He claims he feels much better, more regulated mood and not as hungry all the time. He attributes this to meat itself. My theory is, maybe it's not the vegan switch or the meat switch but rather the switching itself? Like the change is good for our body because it adapts to the same old stuff. New routines and change is good. Just an idea... I'm a Taurus and a creature of habit so I don't practice this all the time, but I have switched back and forth from vegetarian to meat over the years and with each change I do feel better (either direction.) I began to think maybe it's because I'm LISTENING and feeling how my body is reacting to the diet at the time...I give it what it wants (or doesnt want)

YouTube allows anyone to play a role and get accepted on some level by those who don't know any better. Just watched one of this fellow's videos. He is clearly living out his fantasy of being a Daoist master. I feel kind of sorry for him.

It's likely you will get all benefits Heres a spring forest beginners practice... see what you think It's safe to say that it will be similar in results that your current practice is too. It's mostly about learning to quiet your mind and go inside and feel the energy and flow of your body.

It's a widely used system and seems to give good results. I don't have any personal experience with it though. I would say research and read about the different styles, use the search function here, and see which one "calls to you". The reason I say that is, most every qigong system will have an entry point to beginners... it really is a matter of choosing one that you feel the most comfortable with. If you doubt a system, it won't be as effective for relaxation if your questioning it in the back of your mind. Maybe tell us what your looking for, in terms of goals. Is it healing, or maybe to calm the mind? What do you hope to get out of it?

Thanks for your reply. I googled both exercises. I watched some videos by Chris Bale, but the exact exercises were only accessible for purchase. The 8 Cycles I found on YouTube. It is solid qigong... As far as other styles, there are many qigong styles and methods. You'll hear terms like Spring Forest, Five Animal Frolicss, Flying Phoenix, Stillness-Movement, Pangu, Fragrance Qigong, Shibashi, 8 Brocades, and others. They all have different arm movements and stuff but mainly the foundation is the same - relaxed awareness. I started out doing Taichi qigong, then moved onto Baguazhang qigong which is based on a martial art. It's a lot of moving around and walking. I practiced Pangu qigong for a few years, which is similar to Reiki mixed with Qigong in that there's a conscious intent to channel energy. Yes, it is significantly lower when taken orally (15% orally versus ~100% injection) They sell sublingual tablets as supplements, which attempts to make that 15% figure slightly higher. Still, the anecdotal reports are pretty solid. I personally take it for sleep (1mg), I've found it works very well for me. -

Not surprised to see curcumin on this list. The rate of Alzheimerâs/Dimentia cases in countries where turmeric is a dietary staple is shown to be about HALF of that in the States. Ive always thought it had more to do with itâs anti inflammatory properties though. Interesting angle with the pineal, and seems to line up with Bindiâs study. -

Further shows the important role melatonin plays in the body. Not only for sleep but many other functions as well. As melatonin production wanes with aging, I wonder if oral supplementation of melatonin would help combat neurodegenative diseases too. -

I don't think there's one way of dieting that fits everyone. What works for me may not work for you. Eat what you want to eat, and good luck to you.

Depends on ones definition of soul. đ Lets take a peak into Mystical Judaism.... In Qabalistic terms, there is Nephesh which is the âearthly soulâ - your personality and life matrix. It is your astral body. The heavenly soul is called the Neshamah, and the two must be joined in order for consciousness to survive death - otherwise the Nephesh will return to the elements in which it was formed. These two are joined by Ruach, which is the third quality of soul. This is the middle soul, inbetween the Earthly and Heavenly parts. This is your guide, your intelligence, your compass and road map. This distinguishes between Good and evil. It will also disintegrate upon death with the Nephesh. This is the same concept that is talked about in other traditions. Think âeternal lifeâ or âsalvationâ in the Christian tradition. This is just the Qaballahs mapping of the process.
