Think itâs the sage itself, or more the intention behind it? -
shadow people- do they have to be negative ?

I wonder what properties garlic has that keeps a non-physical entity away. Can they smell it? Or does it have some astral type properties? I've always enjoyed the smell of garlic, color me weird. -

Sorry, thatâs 1 Peter.

For me, the lion represents the more bestial side of people. Like the side that wants to screw, steal and satiate their worldly desires. If the human eats the lion, he/she has overcome the bestial side of themselves and becomes whole (human). Thereâs a verse from Peter that lines up well with it. âBe self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferingsâ 1 Peter 5:8

Gospel of Thomas 7. Jesus said, "Lucky is the lion that the human will eat, so that the lion becomes human. And foul is the human that the lion will eat, and the lion still will become human."

Ahhh, I see now. Thanks.

What tradition is this from? Any more info? I have heard of "moon gazing" ... which sounds preferable to "sun gazing"

"Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. 2. Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." Galatians 6:1 This line is all about "Holding space" for someone. In order to support a brother or sister, and "bear another's burdens", one must not get attached to their problem - or their solution, lest we get pulled in and caught up in it all (tempted). "Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ" -- what a powerful line.

Practices to Cultivate Positive Emotions Positive States of Minds
Fa Xin replied to 2ndchance's topic in General Discussion
What are you drawn to? if you focus on some thing positive your mind will change yes. For me its thinking of a Deity (God or Goddess) or their associated mantra. For a while I listened to a lot of Krishna Das Kirtan and I felt it helped. -
Very strange experience. Enlightenment or something else?
Fa Xin replied to voras's topic in Newcomer Corner
Seems like a part of you opened up to the energetic realm. Also sounds like you are naturally inclined or inborn talent for such things. Very cool story, thanks for sharing. -
Hi folks. A friend of mine recently found a Tigers eye bracelet on the ground. She asked me what the symbol meant, but I have no idea. Just because I practice kung fu, doesnât mean I can read or write other languages! I thought Iâd ask all my learned brothers and sisters here, maybe someone can help. Thanks!

Do you possibly have a feedback system in your practice!
Fa Xin replied to ben kaf's topic in Daoist Discussion
A big issue is when the teacher tells the student what to expect - it becomes a stumbling block concept that will distract from the practice. And if the student hits this âmile markerâ it may not even be genuine - could be psychosomatic or imagined. Like the information may taint the experience.- 35 replies

I think we may have found a close one, though the top left (if viewed sideways) seems to dip down instead of up. Either way, good catch! Strength was my first thought but unless itâs a very artsy rendition, it doesnât seem to match

Fa Xin replied to ben kaf's topic in Daoist Discussion
I generally just go by how calm and present I feel. How quiet my mind is. And the general progression is forward, even though sometimes it appears it moves backwards - it never really does. Thereâs always contraction before expansion. I try to Accept the negative stuff as a way of making me grow, even when some days feels like i canât get anything right. đ- 35 replies

Earle Montaigue will forever be known in my mind for his Dim Makking of students to unconsciousness. I remember watching that video when I was about 15... it was awesome.
