Yes, the lines start to blur after a while. Maybe thatâs why weâre on this forum. đ
-
Agreed. I donât like the nomenclature either. But having worked with both, I can say one is much easier than the other. đ

Good response. How did she take it? Working with âdisordersâ like that takes a very delicate hand.

Cool, thanks Steve! Iâve heard of Kalachakra empowermentâs given by HH. Appreciate the info!

Thatâs quite the symbol there. Wonder what the meaning is

22. Jesus saw some babies nursing. He said to his disciples, "These nursing babies are like those who enter the (Father's) kingdom." They said to him, "Then shall we enter the (Father's) kingdom as babies?" Jesus said to them, "When you make the two into one, and when you make the inner like the outer and the outer like the inner, and the upper like the lower, and when you make male and female into a single one, so that the male will not be male nor the female be female, when you make eyes in place of an eye, a hand in place of a hand, a foot in place of a foot, an image in place of an image, then you will enter [the kingdom]."

Theres this one, from the Gospel of Thomas: 11. Jesus said, "This heaven will pass away, and the one above it will pass away. The dead are not alive, and the living will not die. During the days when you ate what is dead, you made it come alive. When you are in the light, what will you do? On the day when you were one, you became two. But when you become two, what will you do?"

Your saying that my interpretation is wrong ? or the translation is wrong ? Either way, no offense is taken. We all interpret things differently. Itâs what kind of change the verse creates in you that is the important thing. What we get out of it at the end of the day. đ

My interpretation as follows... As Iâm sure youâve seen in other verses, the phrase âone in Christâ... The Gnostic perspective Iâm familiar with is that Jesus came down and pretty much flipped the âold systemâ on its head. And by this I mean he created an energetic shift which changed the whole system, he transcended the world and duality, making it possible for others to be free of it too. âWho has made the two one and destroyed the barrierâ. This was the change - he allowed others to transcend the world by being able to use him as a doorway to life. Before that you were kind of on your own. The whole practice of Mystical Christianity is based on this... to connect with Jesus on a heart (energy) level and transcend death (the world) and to be reborn in Christ (the spirit)

22) The Savior said, All nature, all formations, all creatures exist in and with one another, and they will be resolved again into their own roots. 23) For the nature of matter is resolved into the roots of its own nature alone. 24) He who has ears to hear, let him hear. 25) Peter said to him, Since you have explained everything to us, tell us this also: What is the sin of the world? 26) The Savior said There is no sin, but it is you who make sin when you do the things that are like the nature of adultery, which is called sin. 27) That is why the Light came into your midst, to the essence of every nature in order to restore it to its root. -Gospel according to Mary Magdalene

Yes, concepts and ideas can get in the way of gnosis (knowing firsthand or experiencing it.) That is for every person, in their heart, to find out at the appropriate time. A husk understanding of the verses will not quench the thirst of the soul, and will send someone searching deeper until they find it themselves, or come across someone who can show them the way. These words are merely pointers, and I think threads like this are invaluable, because we are able to elaborate and explain things that may help someone. Luckily, I just post them for my own enjoyment.

Wow! A great one đ

The Gospel of Thomas has this one, 4. Jesus said, "The person old in days won't hesitate to ask a little child seven days old about the place of life, and that person will live. For many of the first will be last, and will become a single one."
-
Nice interpretation. I would say it's all mystical in one way or another I've always thought this verse represents the principle found in James 4:6 "But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: âGod opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.â Though I do think it also represents something about how we are all in this together, that one of us will not become completely free until we are all free.

This is the last verse of the Gospel of Thomas. For me it is referring to energetic poles of transmission and reception, as most stuff in the bible is not a physical thing but spiritual/energetic (according to the Gnostic interpretations.)

Interesting outlook. Thanks for sharing. I am glad your managing to change your habits for the better. Not an easy thing. Keep up the good work đ

"Light and darkness, life and death, and right and left are siblings of one another, and inseparable. For this reason the good are not good, the bad are not bad, life is not life, death is not death. Each will dissolve into its original nature, but what is superior to the world cannot be dissolved, for it is eternal." -Gospel of Philip

My father's birthday is on Groundhog's Day. Growing up, everytime he would tell someone his birthday, he would follow it up with "February 2nd...Groundhog's Day" So not only do I associate Groundhog's with the beginning of Feb, but I also associate my dad with a Groundhog.

114. Simon Peter said to them, "Make Mary leave us, for females don't deserve life." Jesus said, "Look, I will guide her to make her male, so that she too may become a living spirit resembling you males. For every female who makes herself male will enter the kingdom of Heaven."

Sadly all good things must come to an end...
