Cool, thanks. đ I know a few people who teach in Canada but they are in Ontario. Any good qigong teachers near you, or do you self study?

For the sake of offering another perspective, if indeed one one has given up their will and surrendered to the Father, shouldnât their perspective and Jesusâ perspective be very similar? Not saying Jeff or anyone in particular has done so - who am I to say. But I would think if someone is truly at that stage of surrender - what would make their perspective different? Who would want to argue with God? Lol

The quotes from the Bible seem to refer to a dropping of ones own will in favor of the âFathers willâ. Not sure how it can be interpreted another way...?

I also recommend Namkhai Norbu, I enjoyed his books and found him to be one the clearest writers on Buddhist/Dzogchen stuff.

Yes it is very hard to communicate with someone who is in a dark place. Shine your light on them the best way you know how - make them laugh, share your positive energy with them. Smile and be upbeat. It will start to affect them in a positive way, sometimes subconsciously, but it is infectious. Hell... It canât hurt. It will also go a long way to help you not fall down into the depths with them. Very easy to get pulled down, with someone you love. Be their support. If they need space, give them time alone. You both will get thru this.
-
Yes, as Karen said earlier, communication is key. Good luck
-
Ultimately she will have to want to change herself - you canât force her to do that. Being supportive, reminding her you want her to be healthy, suggesting and exploring options. Ask her what she needs from you.
-
try not to get mad with them ... make sure to provide a lot of space if you can. I donât mean physical space- but non judging acceptance...

Some would say Tongbei, as well as Bajiquan are closer relatives to the internal arts than some of the other Chinese styles that exist out there. I did a quick YouTube search of Tongbei shenfa and can definitely see how you went from Xingyi to that. The first movement I saw of the video I watched looked a lot like Zhuanquan. I think there was a massive amount of âmelting potâ techniques when many of these styles were made. Lots of influencing each other. Maybe thatâs how some styles were made - someone just doing spontaneous type movements like you were doing. Maybe you should look into studying it as it seems quite natural to you

I have heard about and witnessed many times people prefer to die alone. They wait until you leave the room to finally leave (even if you spend hours with them, and get up to use the bathroom...). Something to ponder... There is for sure a strange peace after someone close to you dies. Iâm not exactly sure why it happens, but I consider it quite an amazing gift. -
