Remote two-person and group energetic practices

I believe intuition is not limited, but rather our ability to listen and understand it, which is clouded by our ego and mind stuff. Anyway, appreciate the convo. Here's the full Norbu snippet I clipped while reading. I took it to mean all spiritual paths - not just the Buddhist yanas, though I can't remember exactly. So it is up for interpretation, like all things. -

Cool, thanks for your post. I interpreted Jeffâs post to mean more so âtrust and letting goâ in the grand scheme of things. Trust in God/the Dao or the grand scheme of things, and letting go of the stories of the mind. Howevwr, when working with a deity, donât you have to trust and let go? Or a guru? The last paragraph of your post suggests a very linear, scientific and mind based approach. Which is all well and good, itâs just not my approach. To say âpeople will be better served adhering to...â to me implies a rigid modality, which has only made me feel more trapped in my own personal experience. I am more heart based in my outlook. To quote one of my favorite books, Self Perfected State... Norbu says: I can see your apprehension regarding energy transfers. I had a similar post earlier in this thread - telling people to follow their intuition, and if it doesnât feel right... then donât do it. But we all must walk our own path... and a path that sounds crazy and dangerous to one person, may be exactly what someone else needs. -

I feel like trusting and letting go are very basic, yet important ideas in ones spiritual journey. What exactly are you saying is wrong with these ideas? -

Very cool, thank you for sharing. When you say âdevotionâ, could you replace that word with âsurrenderâ? Or devotion meaning, time and energy spent towards a deity?

Nicely put Dwai. Obviously, you donât want someone to take advantage of you energetically. I had a teacher who I felt was doing something to that effect. It may have been my own mind and fears. But I had to distance myself from it. Regardless of whether it was truly happening, the narrative in my mind said it was, and that was enough to spoil the whole practice for me. Listening to my intuition, there was probably a reason I felt that was happening. Luckily, I did not let it ruin the whole thing for me, and I put my trust in another person energetically, and itâs been nothing but awesome. No negative feelings whatsoever. The most important part of doing any energetic work is to listen to your intuition. Does it feel right? If not, better move on. There may be nothing negative happening in reality - but if you think there is, it will spoil it IMO. energy stuff seems to work if your fully committed and in 100% allowing and trust. Itâs good not to give that away to any random person that comes along and says they can help you. At the same time, you do need to take a risk sometimes, in order to get a ârewardâ. At least in my experience. How are you ever going to move past âthe selfâ, if you guard it from the world? -
For me, a big shift was opening the 5th chakra - and feeling energy and interacting with others. At the time I had started a serious qigong practice. That was a big shift because I started focusing on that feeling, and the subtle changes the energy brought with it. Previous to this, I focused more on my thoughts and physical sensations. Being able to quiet my mind and focus on the subtle sensations that were happening inside... allowed me to get out of many habitual mind patterns and cycles. It also allowed me to start sensing the deeper stuff, like my own subconscious patterns and how I was interacting with others on a personal level. Edit: Grammar

Any experience with purple snakes in dreams?
Fa Xin replied to stovepipe's topic in General Discussion
I dream of snakes a lot. I looked it up once, someone told me they represent âchangeâ. Very vague and probably not much help. -

Interesting that his priority was to record it and describe it. Now I understand why my girlfriend thinks Iâm batty. Congrats to âthe awareness formerly known as Leoâ -
I also feel like it has to do with turning the focus inward...

How many times have they been spun? the more the better. I need as many merits as I can get đ just kidding. But would like to see a pic -
Perhaps having a preference is only limiting if you allow it to be. I prefer a certain cold drink with my meals. Trying to âbreak this habitâ or instead only drinking plain water seems a bit too forcing... why bother? I would think it would only be limiting if I carry it with me. âIs it right to have this drink? It has a lot of sugar. Does it appease my senses? Could I stop if I wanted to? Maybe I should stick with plain water and be natural. â Or the flip side... âI want this drink. I must have this. I donât desire many things. Canât I have this one? I donât like anything else. â Such thoughts are the limiting factor, not the drink or the like itself. Just how much my mind hangs onto it. Just my 02

Is it even possible to describe ones true nature ?

Beautiful story dwai, thanks for sharing.

No drugs with my experiences. Also never really experienced stuff during sleep. Glad you made it out of the truck incident. Iâve had a few close calls too - it does seem like time slows down ...

Some of them are hard to describe, as a lot of energy type sensations and subtle feelings, but I've had a few that had a cool visual component to them. One of the first times I connected with Shiva, I had a cool vision. I found myself in a jungle like South America. Dense rainforest. I was walking around, looking at this stone-like temples. Think Angkor Wat. I knew Shiva was not in these places, though, and while they would have been fun to explore - I was just kind of there to see Shiva. I came across a small pop tent that was in a clearing - and I knew Shiva was in there ... deep down I was just aware of it. I walked over and opened the tent - and there was Shiva. So I entered the tent... Two things struck me as bizarre. The first was that he was in the tent with 2 women - strange thing was I was one of those women! For those wondering - I'm a guy... but apparently Shiva is so alpha male that we all turn female in his presence? I don't know... The second strange thing was that his presence was emitting these electric humming waves. Like if your standing to a very low bass woofer or standing next to a large electrical generator. Not only could you feel the power, but you could see the air shimmering too. I got the feeling he didn't want to talk, and I personally had nothing to ask him. He was just sitting, chilling, in silence. But all I wanted to do was sit in these electric humming waves that he was emitting...because with them I experienced a deep relaxing peace, like they were warm blankets. This meditation lasted about 30 minutes. I felt very large and powerful for the rest of the day - you could say I was still "inside of Shiva". It was almost too much for me at the time and needed to ground myself afterwards. But it was very fun, a cool experience.

Thanks for your reply. i think theyâre all in our mind too... we just donât know how big our mind is đ

The way I connect and work with deities is energetically. I will think of a deity, focus on them for a few minutes until I sense their presence. I will then intentionally âconnectâ; IE reach out to hug them or touch them. All of this is done while trying to keep a blank or open mind. In other words I donât conciously visualize anything - although images will pop up... this process is done more with a heart-intention and not a mental thing. To me, higher beings certainly exist. I can tell big differences between them - one example is Jesus energy is very balanced, and peaceful, while Shiva is a large and powerful presence. Female deities feel different, too. I have also had a few beings independently âvisitâ me back - which can be A LOT more intense when they initiate contact (and sometimes very unexpected.) Iâve only had a few of these kinds of visits - maybe 5 over the last year.

Thanks for your reply. Do you mind sharing why you dont believe people can connect to higher celestial beings? Are they just too âout of our rangeâ? question is based off of an earlier reply, not whatâs quoted. Edit for typo.

Thatâs perfect, I appreciate the answer. Thanks! Also... very cool he did show up for you. đ
