Capitalism, private property and sociopathy
blackstar212 replied to blackstar212's topic in The Rabbit Hole
One day we will evolve to the star trek future. It is happening now. We will not be around to see it but it will happen in the not too far future. -
Absolutely nothing which is my point. Until the 13th amendment

Not related to the rebel flag. It was the law of the land before the constitution....which was desperately needed....and needs more fine tuning.

The articles of confederation. Funny how slavery was legal and you think those documents are sufficient. Duly noted.

Everyone gets treatment hence the universal part. there is no question.

Capitalism, private property and sociopathy
blackstar212 replied to blackstar212's topic in The Rabbit Hole
On a form of sociopathy. There was a man who wanted some extra supplies so he grabbed a sack of grain and headed off to the market to trade for some wine and colorful fabric. He had a good crop and plenty of grain. On his way to the market he walked by a property and heard someone calling out. "help" He walked down the path to the home where he found a family, dreadfully thin due to starvation. The eldest man said his crops were destroyed and they were trying to make it longer but were starving to death. The man with the grain looked around. " perhaps you should have protected your fields a little better." shrugs and heads off to market with his grain. Story 2 There was a man who wanted some extra supplies so he grabbed a sack of grain and headed on to the market to trade for some wine and colorful fabric. He had a good crop and plenty of grain. On his way to the market he walked by a property and heard someone calling out. "help" He walked down the path to a home where found a family, dreadfully thin due to starvation. The eldest man said his crops were destroyed and they were trying to make it longer but were starving to death. The man with the grain dropped the sack and fetched some water and began cooking up grain for the family. He told them they could keep the grain he was glad he could help. There is enough food right now on this planet that no one should be starving, but a lack of empathy (sociopath) demands that the starving people be allowed to starve and will rationalize by any mean necessary that there way is a good way. Or you could look at story number 2 as a totalitarian dictator. The problem with the world is too many people who are story number one. -
I will check out the book.

When I right click paste is faded out not functional. -
I equate "individual sovereignty" as the form of sociopathy I have mentioned before. We are societal animals but we have those in our population that cannot function that way. They must put themselves first above society.

I have read Animal farm it is a good book. Written by a democratic socialist. A huge critic of dictatorships.

Really equal rights? That is a complete joke. Just a little more equal for the rich.

Yeah next thing you are going to tell us is how the conservatives are fighting tooth and nail for the LGTB community. ROARING LAUGHTER.

LMAO yeah that is called historical spin doctoring at its finest LOL Conservative by their very definition do not want change. They thought that slavery was their right from the bible. Progressives had to come in and save the day.
