The best work i know about emotions is from Michael Brown "the presence process". There are a lot of Good vids on YouTube about this work. Also very Good ( the same work as from Michael Brown but different approach) is the work from Scott kiloby. Look into the articles section on kiloby.com for a first look into his work. All the best Michael

Is the wudang orbit all that it's cranked up to be?
MIchael80 replied to Oneironaut's topic in Daoist Discussion
I am really no expert in all of this, just had interesting conversations with nice people from different Schools. It seems to depent on the School. Some neidan schools Start with some postheaven practice while others Start directly with preheaven and still others mix. Also depents what a student needs. -
Is the wudang orbit all that it's cranked up to be?

I have a DVD from Winn where he teaches what he calls "the secret wudang orbit". It is just to visulize a spinning ball that moves in an imagined tube in the mco, clearing blockages. I do think that Winn teaches some good stuff and leading chi with mind is not bad....but postheaven.....so it is not neidan (which works with preheaven). -

Do you mean what Michael Winn calls the "wudang orbit"? -
Hi journ3y! From my experience with an full blown kundalini awakening and that of others i have spoken with that is not some escape because you believe your life is not exciting enough. A full blown awakening means you will have to die over and over again as everything that is held dear by you is being teared away. Meaning loosing friends, job, relocate to another area etc. If it is not full blown it can be manageable though. Most important thing in my view is being able to fully feel emotions as the kundalini will bring the suppressed stuff to the surface for clearing. Meaning being able to fully feel intense fear, anger and grief, shame, inner conflict etc. My advice would be to do "the presence process" from Michael Brown at least a few times to develope the capacity to fully feel and not get stuck in the stories that these intense emotions produce. In that way you would have a safety net if some really uncomfortable stuff comes to the surface. All the best to you on your way! Michael

Questions about the Neidan firing process
MIchael80 replied to BrightMoon's topic in Daoist Discussion
Hi Brightmoon! If you have found something that brings you joy that is great!! I just want to add some points: I have also researched (and practised) Kriya for a long time. Yes, babaji seems to be an immortal. But do not forget that the original kriya masters all aged normal and died. Kriya Yoga brings quickly a very deep quietude into the mind that is for sure. Navi Kriya is used to break the knot of the navel according to Lahiri Mahasaya. (he had a four knot modell which is distinct from the classical 3 knot modell). Navi Kriya is not practiced in most lineages today but the lineage of Sadhanananda Maharji still practices it. It also helps to bring about the breathlessstate much more easy. I would also add that the goal of Kriya is different from Neidan as it is based on the hindusystem of "leaving behind the illusion of this body" where as Neidan tries to transmute the body. Also Lahiri in his commentaries describes Kriya breath "going up and down" he is not talking about the MCO in any of his describtions. (meaning no circulation) the most original Kriyalineage we have today might be from Sri Mukherjee (http://originalkriya.com/) and this Kriya is different from all other Kriyas....much softer. (http://kriyayogainfo.net/files/Document%20about%20Sri%20Sri%20Lahiri%20Mahasaya%27s%20original%20Kriya%20Yoga.pdf) another BIG difference with Kriya and Neidan is that Kriya used postheaven breath and real Neidan works with preheaven stuff. This difference is huge and results in totally different effects. All the best Michael -
