It has inspired me to think why I applied for membership at this forum (but fortunately daobums also has some interesting threads :-) )

I've never read a thread as pointless as this one Totally regret reading it.. I mean really, what is this? (just want to post my opinion) edit: Best wishes

did you, really?

Would you believe in what you believe in if you were the only one who believed it? Kanye West

Hi! I would recommend this thread I started with Chia and would not do it again. His system is powerful, but quite risky if you don't have a teacher watching over you. In the thread i suggested you will find systems that are effective and safe, I would say take a look at them and follow your intuition :-)

To the healing-issue (sry for off topic) but afaik chunyi teaches how to use universal energy instead of ones own energy to heal others, right?

I found an interesting text about Fung Doe Duk and the Doo-Family called "The History of Grandmaster Doo Wai's Lineage." edit: And here is a text by GM Doo Wai about how Fang Doe Duk received the meditations http://tibetan.tripod.com/ch-phoen.htm edit2: For maybe 2 weeks I feel energy at the laogongs the whole day. It increases especially when doing Bending the Bows or the MSW-Meditations and it really starts tingling there, but even when I am doing nothing or just walking at the street I feel the energy in my palms. I like it, because it appears to me that when I focus on the energy sensations in my hands it has kind of a grounding, calming effect and also increases my energy level.

I did not go through such immense pain (..yet?) (*knocking on wood*) but from time to time energy cultivation does bring some stuff to the surface. Like self-esteem issues or other things.. negative believes about myself and when chi hits those believes they come to consciousness exponentiated so I really got to deal with it. Because if I don't, chi won't move But what helps me till this day is a dream I had a few years ago, during a time where I had feelings of going crazy, because of too much generated energy to deal with.. In this dream - it was the most realistic dream I've ever had, in fact it was more real than normal reality, after waking up I really had the impression as if rather my waking state was the dream-world - I was a beggar in an ancient city, sitting at the corner of a street and waiting for the people to give me food or money. I was sick and hungry, life was a piece of shit. I really just sat there feeling intense self-pity.. Then, out of nowhere, colours get far more intense and an older person comes towards me, wearing a white robe cape like gandalf and I can feel this is the wisest person I ever met. This person looks at me saying: "You have to learn equanimity (I hope it is the right translation). In german the word was "Gleichmut". Then I felt an immense love and woke up. The crazy thing is when woke up I didn't even know what "Gleichmut" meant. I didn't know the word. So I googled it and found out that it's a buddhist principle (I really wasn't into buddhism at that time). And till this day this dream helps me a lot. Whenever times get tough I say to myself "phil, you just have to learn a little bit more equanimity" and I know, there are forces watching me, and whatever happens, my real inner being is safe, no matter how tough the circumstances appear. And no matter what problem one has to face, you would't face those problems if you could't solve them.

Speaking of my experiences I had times where my awareness got to the point where especially the most aggressive, intolerant humans appeared the most vulnerable, as they try with every strength to deny their true self which is (and this sounds a bit corny) - love. We are all playing our roles but sooner or later, may it be in this lifetime or another, we will come to the conclusion that everything is totally fine how it is and how it was. Life is experience, life is learning. And for experiencing and learning we life in a world full of duality, the question is which side of this duality do you want to pay attention to? There are as many realities as there are people and in my opinion the sign of true awareness is to see beyond your personal reality, because personal reality is the only reality you are ever able to receive. But ones you look beyond it life is just a pool of endless possibilities which gives you the freedom to choose the one you prefer, every single moment.

Thank you for answering. I learned it from a Qigong/Neigong Teacher in my city. Instructions were: Belly inwards at inhale, outwards exhale; staying as relaxed at possible (keeping a smile on face helps) and to "lift the organs a bit" when inhaling. My body starts this reverse beathing often when I am doing the 2nd and 3rd MSW-Meds and it happens without me consciously thinking about it. and a little Update: I still love it. Learned the Long-Form and it's great. :-) Edit: Could there be a chance that the DVDs (i am missing Vol.7.. so especially this DVD ;-) )will be uploaded on a streaming service or be sold as a download at some time in the future?Even though the DVD would be very well worth the money, but as I am from Europe and just a poor student this could save me some delivery charges I guess

Why LonemanPai is just another fake alchemy website
phil replied to voidisyinyang's topic in General Discussion
I think neither Spring Forest nor LonemanPai, nor Drew, Chunyi or Satoga is fake. I learnt many things from all of you since I am on daobums (and kind of a lmp-lurker from time to time) and respect you for your effort and the things you share. -
Haha, this is some kind of synchronicity again. I found that video yesterday and tried the moves a bit. Now I see it posted here the same time I found it independently on youtube :-) I think FP in general will help with that (try the meditations and you will find intuitively what you need), but I think, and it's often greatly underestimated, that your state of mind / your thoughts are some kind of (electromagnetic?) energy and attract similar energies. Focus solely on healing, in thoughts of health, when working in a hospital. In fact, I think working in a hospital can train one very well to focus on ones preferred thoughts, because of the strong contrast between sick and healing energies existing there and in perceiving the influence your mind has in attracting the preferred one.

Well, sometimes I think, that getting into a meditative state and only breathing into the LDT and let the energy do it's thing might be the most effective and powerful excercise one can do for self-cultivation. This may sound dilletante (at least it sounds so to me). I know there are lots of different techniques in Qigong/Neigong and they all move energy differently and will give you different benefits, but to me it appears as if simple breathing into the LDT does not only give me lots of energy, it also moves the energy in my body in a very safe way and it opens those channels that need to be opened. I am just a few years into Qigong, but I would like to know what you think of the benefits and limits in relation to breathing only into LDT for cultivation purposes. I know it most likely won't make an immortal out of you, but sometimes it seems to me as the most simple and at the same time highly beneficial practice to me. Again, it might sound dull, and I know there are different practices for different purposes, and I know there are lots of practices that can create a lot more energy than just breathing (and of course one breathes into the LDT while doing the excercises..), but I also think, that simple LDT-breathing might be some kind of underestimated, what do you think?

As I understood it is perfectly fine when the breath synchronizes with the movements, but the main-focus should be the movements. This means you focus on the movements, especially on doing them in the speed of the famous shifting sand-dune, and if then the breath synchronizes it's totally ok. I think the point is, that if every breath corresponds with a single movement the movements could be too fast, so when doing them very slowly there will probably be more than one breath per move, but at the same time synchronized, meaning full inhale or exhale and the end of the single movement. This leads me to another question: Sometimes I unconsciously start reverse breathing and when I am getting aware of it I don't know if I should continue it or not as Zen-Bear states in the DVDs that one should breath normal. But as my body starts reverse breathing automatically I am not sure if it may be also fine to continue with it?

Energy stuck in the head, insanity, anger, going nuts

Massaging yongquan can help very good. And concentrating on yongquan while walking also -
I've got times where my chi produces to much heat resulting in swaety palms/foots, lower self-esteem, restless sleep, too much thougts etc. What helps me quite a bit is shaking, tapping the body here and there and directing the chi to ming-men and the foot area and storing it in LDT. But it seems to me that directing chi with the mind in itself produces some kind of heat. So my question is: Are there any exercises/meditations or herbs/foods or other things that are able to cool down the body? I am practicing Flying Phoenix Chi Kung a lot, which produces a cooling energy and it helps a lot, but maybe you guys know some other stuff which helps to decrease the heat. :-)

@allinone I know you mean well, but at this point I understand maybe like 10% of your posts

Yes, thats why I don't do it (consciously) anymore. It's just that I sometimes feel the chi quite strong somewhere in my body, and then it's hard for me to not move it, because it instantly follows my mind or focus. Deep LDT-Breathing helps though. Nevertheless, from time to time I like to play with it a bit, like doing a (safe) form of MCO, or directing chi to ldt, mingmen, knees (I feel directing it to knees is really good for me to get rid of too much yang chi) and most of the time I feel relaxed, calm, peaceful. But as is said, this heat only rarely occurs, and with more practice it get's better. Like 2 years ago it happened much more often. I tried various exercises from this thread and bought Triphala, and it already helps a lot, thank you all

seems so to me.. I am also everyday surprised of how powerful the first "warm-up" sitting meditation seems to me (5 60 80 40 30), it really brings me into the blue light

Are you talking about the state of half awake, half at sleep? Letting go of consciousness while meditating?

Yesterday I did 3 rounds of moonbeam splashes on water inside my room. After that I was immensely energised. Realized it was full moon and went on a trip through the city and still felt this peaceful energy throughout my body and mind. After that I went sleeping with intense dreams that I won't soon forget. Really heart-opening. I love this system, thank you zen-bear. The spiritual side of fpck is really outstanding imo. What I also observed is, that the so called "basic" meditations (vol 1&2) seem even more powerful since I am doing msow for a few days now.

I thought so too but I am not quite sure. To be a bit more precise: When I've got this heat phenomena I feel the energy moving from the head downwards and when it reaches the heart area this heat is produced. I thought that it might be caused by stress, but it often happens when I am just relaxing. It's like the more I am aware of the chi-movements in my body the more heat is generated. This then has stress-symptoms as a result, but I am not really sure if stress is really the cause. My ex-teacher told me that I have very much Yang-Chi and it moves too fast. So I was guessing that when I am in a relaxed state the Yang-Chi starts to move more till it get's to a blockage where it can not more anymore and is kind of pressing against it which results in this heat? I also don't have this phenomena very often. Most of the time I feel grounded and clear-headed, but this changes then like a few days per month where I really feel my Yang-Chi, mostly in head/heart area (with some kind of pressure on the third eye). It is not that big of a deal though and no really qi deviation symptom or something and I can to what I normally do, but it's simply a bit stressing. Thanks for all the tips, I am gonna give everything a try ;-)
