Mantra and Dharani Samadhi as skilful means to reach enlightenment
SeekerOfHealing replied to DSCB57's topic in Buddhist Discussion
The most experiences I had was with Usnisa Dharani. The moment I started to recite it some "holy" or "divine" Qi or energy goes thru my body cleansing I guess the karma which is not seen. My life always get litter better after Usnisa. It's really the only mantra you need as this is the only mantra and deity with this mantra who can clear your fixed karma - none other in history of buddhism and mantrayana such thing is possible. Only Usnisa Bodhisattva can take karma of yours to itself and still it have some limitations.- 73 replies

Depends of how you define enlightenment it would be defining what will be beyond. Depends on tradition you are asking.I'm following mostly buddhist so 8 type of absorption and many types of insight knowledge into three marks of existence. Depth. Taoist Cultivation is impermanent. Buddhist cultivation is permanent. Taoist = better bodyBuddhist = better mind None, as they focus on different things thru different means.

Attainment of full enlightenment through Cultivation

What is your definition of enlightenment firstly so we can fit to the proper tradition with your ideas of enlightenment. Only cessation of fetters/hindrances of the mind brings enlightenment. No other way around. -
Mantra and Dharani Samadhi as skilful means to reach enlightenment
SeekerOfHealing replied to DSCB57's topic in Buddhist Discussion
No, from my definition of enlightenment - no chance. Yes, it's recognized method. Pure Land mostly, Chan and some of Varjayana schools. None. Some mantras have qualities of transform your karma itself. Most potent are Usnisa Dharani, Cundi Dharani and Pali Parittas.- 73 replies

Hello. So let's start thread about secret ingredient which is ming. I really searched hard for ming method after influence of all dao article. Do you practice ming? What are you stages? What are limits we can talk off? Just general MINGling with topic. My stages of ming practices. Spontaneous moves are not related to spontaneous qigong. It's more related to knocking out blocked jing mai. There are many things which goes with ming. First yuan qi it's not primordial Qi but it's transforms in yuan qi and yuan jing from primordial Qi - at least in my practice. Look forward to discuss this most important cultivation process. Ming practice I use is better known as following heaven and earth and their interconnections.

Ming Stages/Replenishing Yuan Qi/Ming Gong
SeekerOfHealing replied to SeekerOfHealing's topic in Daoist Discussion
Another stage popped off. Water like stream which goes thru MCO started by it's own. (it's much different then the Qi from Qigong, I doubt that's it's even Qi as it's feels like physical substance) Clear feeling like swirling water or like water-stream was going thru the spine from kidney and then felt it's clearly in dan tien replenishing it. I could clearly "feel" how much is there of the substance which is water like so I guess that's the life span those people from Wu Liu Pai talk about. It didn't replenish much. It's seems that I already spend almost half of my yuan qi. The results is that I do not have much problems and negative emotions, effortless peace, mind is almost non moving. (I also practice with xing so that probably why) I found I need only little sleep and feel very good health wise and existential wise. It's crazy how amazing body and mind can be, if they in right position and time. I'm 100% sure that's this is my path like feeling "this is it, this is the Way". If I will get better results I will publish my ways of practice for free. No need to pay anything. No need to special things like in Wu Liu Pai, just simple practices. -
Paul Hedderman: What's looking is what you are looking for
SeekerOfHealing replied to johndoe2012's topic in General Discussion
Shunya or emptiness is one and only Buddhist realization which never appeared in any teachings before Buddha. What is seeing are your eyes not any primordial emptiness. Consciousness is not primordial and it's not empty. etc. those all are just speculations you do not really know but follow up ideas which fits you and other people. -

SeekerOfHealing replied to johndoe2012's topic in General Discussion
Those views and speculations can create much suffering and do not lead to ultimate realization. Just entertainment for restless mind. All those views which do not get you enlighten you can learn in "BrahmajÄla Sutta" when almost all modern "teachers" teach to other people via youtube etc. "What is looking is what you are looking for" - no, what people looking for is cessation of suffering which only comes with cessation of hindrances. So you are not looking for yourself, you looking for freedom from yourself as accumulation of suffering. (This is general discussion, if it would be in hindu one I would not post here my critique of such views) -
Ming Stages/Replenishing Yuan Qi/Ming Gong
SeekerOfHealing replied to SeekerOfHealing's topic in Daoist Discussion
So Alexey or anybody here related to WLP and others. Do I practice ming or not? My stages or manifestations. 1) Starting ming practices, after couple seconds to one minute. Deep and great heat and warming but not attacking fire. Sweating a lot like I would run a miles, everything wet. (This can be consider supernatural as it no way you can sweat that much and be "hot" without burning yourself) 2) When fire will settle up, then emptiness no thought without effort appear. Mind clear. 3) After sometime flicking white lights appears when closed eyes. It's suppose to be yuan qi in action, yes? (from what I understand) That's where manifestations stops and I close my "ming session" as it takes some time to get the "ming" rolling. -

Ming is not recognized but it's manifestations. Why people ask all the time about it? Regular people can not see ming or realize ming without high xing, they can only felt manifestation of their methods. That's great quote Taoist Texts, thank you. -
courses in Buddhism in the form of books
SeekerOfHealing replied to roger's topic in Buddhist Discussion
Study suttas. Those books have almost non value or little of value, they can trigger something or inspire but I suggest to learn directly from Buddha's words. Bhikku Bodhi "In The Buddha's Words" it's actually systematized step by step from basic to practice. Of course to develop practice deeper you need to dive deeper in suttas to clear out your mistakes with understanding, view and meditation. -
Ming Stages/Replenishing Yuan Qi/Ming Gong
SeekerOfHealing replied to SeekerOfHealing's topic in Daoist Discussion
Cool, everybody talking about Ming Gong and some are quality posts but they are far from the intention of this thread. No stages, no practices and no anything. We are talking horns of a rabbit. Anybody here practice ming gong (which means replenishing yuan qi?) And yes yuan qi will not make you immortal as physical immortal. -

Ming Stages/Replenishing Yuan Qi/Ming Gong
SeekerOfHealing replied to SeekerOfHealing's topic in Daoist Discussion
I mean here to cultivating yuan qi generally. The production of the primordial qi The primordial qi mainly comes from kidney-qi of the parents during pregnancy. That is why TCM usually calls the primordial qi "the congenital qi". The power and quantity of the primordial qi are already fixed after birth. However, after birth the primordial qi still needs further nourishment and enrichment to enable it to be distributed to the whole body and to exert normal physiological effect. The primordial qi transformed from food nutrients provided by the spleen and stomach is called "acquired qi". The distribution of the primordial qi The primordial qi is stored in the kidney and distributed to all parts of the body through the triple energizer. The primordial qi transformed from food nutrients provided by the spleen and stomach must be stored in the kidney so that it can be distributed to the whole body. Though the primordial qi is distributed to all parts of the body, it originates from the kidney. The functional characteristics of the primordial qi The primordial qi shares the common functions of qi, such as propelling, warming, protecting, fixating and qi-transforming, etc. The functions of the primordial qi are different if its location is different. The characteristics of the primordial qi in the kidney include three aspects: to promote the growth and development of the body and maintain reproductive functions of the body; to promote qi transformation to regulate water metabolism and excretion of urine; to fixate sperm and inhaled fresh air to ensure the functions of the kidney to store essence and receive qi. The primordial qi distributed to all parts of the body warms and promotes all the viscera so as to bring their physiological functions into full play. For example, the spleen governs transportation and transformation; the lung governs respiration; the heart dominates blood; the liver controls dredging and dispersing; the stomach is responsible for reception ancl digestion, etc. These are all the concrete manifestations of the effect of the primordial qi on the viscera. Thus the primordial qi is the vital qi in the body and is the motivation of all life activities. The state of the primordial qi decides the state of life. -

"Sudden enlightenment" in daoism
SeekerOfHealing replied to A.A.Khokhlov's topic in Daoist Discussion
Before I will answer that question about yuan qi I want to ask you question. Do you really believe/think the Wu Liu Pai methods you will become immortal in this body? Even Dimitri said that ming is not about physical immortality but childlike feeling. I use method for yuan qi by following yin and yang. Gathering and condensing. There is a certain time to gather primordial Qi and transfer it into yuan qi. Your site all-dao.com said it's easy to do. But I will not lie. I'm not master of ming or I would say very beginner. At the first stage of ming I was sweating out and spontaneously move. After sometime my diseases went gone. Another stage is that when I was doing ming gong I saw flicking lights when I had closed eyes and entered deep stillness and emptiness which got nothing to do with trying to stop my mind or anything like. After that I found very good connection to the nature which makes me child-like happy just to play with simple things like snow, water, watching fire makes me exciting as I would be winning milion dollar lottery but at the same peaceful and still. How would you judge it? -
Also I have question. I was thinking to developing a robot-skeleton for some qigong styles that actually moves body for you, some-like suit or thing you wear and it moves you the way to practice for 24/48 hours sessions. What do you think about this Sifu Terry? Image that you have automatic moving vehicle which you locks around your joints and sets you up in all practices when you can just relax. I think that the future when we can actually use technology to develop our gong fu.
-
To understand answer to that question you need understand pratÄ«tyasamutpÄda I like that. Skandhas are generally empty they appear because we do not hear our true nature or soundless sound that's why we get caugh into skandhas. Skandhas describe reality of regular people and also serves as guide map to noble people.

Sorry but you are talking utter nonsense. Enlightenment is magical experience which is full of bliss and it's permanent, when there is no suffering and problems and yes your life become magical fixed with everything because Citta is working on highest level so your life and all possibility opens up naturally. yes it is, otherwise you are not enlightenment. Saying that "I'm not enlightenment but I'm not really not enlightenment" is basis of con artist and spiritual snake oil - just simple manipulation to make other believe that you are enlightenment because you hiding it. You are con artist playing as a buddhist and messing people life like many others so called "smart teachers" you better go work for charity or something other stuff that make world happier rather then spreading such false, useless teachings messing with people mind and confusing them even more. -
Enlightenment is not matter of wanting or not wanting. It's just perception and there are various views to open eyes or ear to that dimension.

I sometimes feel that Flying Phoenix and Xiao Yao Pai here is only real deal which brings results.
