  1. Is the USA now a rogue state?

The Guppy by Ogden Nash Whales have calves, Cats have kittens, Bears have cubs, Bats have bittens, Swans have cygnets, Seals have puppies, But guppies just have little guppies. To which I would add, monsters just have bigger monsters.
  2. Do you improvise in Qi Gong and Tai Chi?

Absolutely not. Although I did when I was a beginner.
  3. Why is this happening to me?

Incidentally, Mayans were thugs who built their civilization on pillage and plunder and destroyed it by catastrophic deforestation resulting in climate change (man-made droughts) that starved them out of their cities. (No fossil fuels involved.) The regular tribal neighbors gave them the widest berth and ran for their lives at the prospect of contact, because these civilized folks robbed, killed, raped, and enslaved whoever they came in contact with. Yes, they were "sophisticated." No, "sophistication" is no remedy and no counterbalance for destruction. If there's a karmic lesson we might want to learn from Mayans, this is it.
  4. Why is this happening to me?

Especially considering there's the "spoiler" feature. Sneaking images of gruesome violence on the viewer who didn't expect to see something of this nature (someone might have kids around when opening the thread?..) can't possibly generate "good karma" methinks.

Of course we influence some of the attitudes of people and the world by our own, and of course our perceptions of other people are colored by who we are. But but but... In the taoist paradigm, a change of luck (first you encounter angry people for ten years, then kind people for ten years, then neutral people for ten years, etc.) is explained by what you personally do or think only very partially. The bulk of it is just the different-luck time coming into your life. The cosmic flow took you there, and then it will take you elsewhere. You can help some, hinder some. But you can't turn that tide 180 degrees by being "good" or "bad." Not in the vast majority of cases anyway. I've always found all the "me the omnipotent" paradigms more along the lines of defensive ideation. People compensate for their lack of power by imagining they are all-powerful vis a vis how the world will meet and treat them... yet for some inexplicable reason most use this potential to screw things up for themselves and others. Then someone tells them, it's your fault, you've been a bad boy/girl in a past life. The ultra-wealthy of today even came up with this triumphant belief that they are the ones who were being good boys/girls in their past lives and are merely reaping the rewards. That wealth itself is a sign of their entitlement to it. That they have so much money because they deserve it so much more. The poor have to just suck it up because it's their own fault that they are poor. Would that the world was such a simple equation so easy to figure out. It is not.
  6. Why is this happening to me?

And what did the Mayan victim do to deserve what happened to her?.. You are going to have to make her responsible for a similar crime in her own past life for this to work. And her victim, in her turn, too. It's Sharon Tates all the way down?..
  7. Is the USA now a rogue state?

Daaamn... And here I am stuck indoors between my taiji sword and my computer, periodically dropping one like a hot potato to grab the other, then vice versa. Whereas it's mid-June and I haven't taken a swim in the ocean yet and I should have started six weeks ago as I usually do. But this time around the water is 60 degrees instead of the seasonally sensible 70 and I ain't no Wim Hof. I think I'm being cheated out of my warming somehow. I blame Trump and Putin.

"In Brazil, we don't call them Brazilian nuts. We call them nuts."
  9. Is the USA now a rogue state?

Yeah, about that. I don't think anyone should engage in these discussions before familiarizing themselves thoroughly with this material. It's like that Chinese proverb -- "locking the doors to prevent robbery when the robbers are already inside the house." All those heated debates about the best way to lock the doors to "climate change" -- while the real "change" has sneaked up quietly... as robbers in the night are wont to do...
  10. Is the USA now a rogue state?

Alternatively, they could ban geoengineering. Oops... no money in not doing things to the planet. A much better approach is, fuck it up first, blow it up later. Works every time.
  11. Is the USA now a rogue state?

Oh, they are a spectrum. At the helm are for-profit believers, for-control believers, for-power believers. I.e. fake believers, the very creators of the belief. (An aside for Jetsun: there's a "trace amount" of those in the opposite camp as well -- to refer to your Koch brothers offering. The war in the depth of the Deep State is not for the climate, humanity, or the future of our children -- most current leaders of Europe don't have any children to begin with , which definitely makes it easier for them to fantasize any which future that serves them personally "right now." The war is for profit, control, and power. So pointing out that some of the belief's creators, movers and shakers are at some other movers' and sharers' throat proves only this, and nothing else. Most corporate whales are "believers." A few who stand to lose profits from the scam designed to enrich those who concocted it might oppose it. So what. Don't look at your own finger pointing at them so selectively. Look at the moon.) Then there's the hardwired to obey, but mostly I think it's software, not hardware. Relentless brainwashing, the creation of a fundamentalist religion and the removal of the faculties for critical thinking. And then there's people who are simply mistaken because they were led astray. I often voice "dissenting opinions" in the hope that they are the ones who might be listening -- the former two categories are a lost cause. My hopes may be naive...
  12. Is the USA now a rogue state?

He is backed by the president, so he is not going to be in the shoes of (e.g.) Arpad Pusztai (with whom I had personal correspondence back in the day) who published the results of his study of the GM potato concluding it's not safe for human consumption. Yes he was fired, vilified in the press and blacklisted. End of career of the world's leading lectinologist. And no one was offering you any "global conspiracy" points. What was pointed out was the conspiracy within a group marching to the tune of the same drummer, united by a cause they are conspiring to safeguard by discrediting the whistleblower -- with multiple signatures of the conspirators testifying to its real rather than imaginary nature. Conducing a discussion by setting up straw men, making up the opponent's arguments to attack rather than addressing his/her actual ones, is a tool of demagogy, not of inquiry.
  13. Is the USA now a rogue state?

Yup, this is exactly how it is always done by Dominant Baboon, Ph.D.. Conspiracy to destroy the dissenter; followed by ganging up and taking action; followed by licking the blood off the mugs with utmost satisfaction. This case is only unique in that the president happens to back up the dissenter, whereas in a typical case the dissenter is alone against the mob. Not many undertake suicidal missions of challenging the status quo. How many of the greatest discoveries and inventions in the history of science were made by majority vote? Zero. You can't "peer review" the truth if the peers have evolved to their status as such via a vicious and relentless process of unnatural selection -- all of them.

Well, I hate to disagree with "oxygen via plants from CO2" because this urban myth is popular with the generally on-the-right-track people, but to keep our argument scientifically accurate and not turn it into the sitting duck for "debunkers" who would, in this case, have a valid point for a change of pace, I have to. Yes, bottom line is correct, CO2 is not the bad guy. It becomes the bad guy when you cut down too many trees. That's because during photosynthesis, green plants do convert atmospheric CO2 but not into oxygen. (Which comes from water on this planet.) They convert it into sugars. One half the oxygen atoms in the CO2 wind up in the sugars (e.g., glucose = C6H12O6), and the other half wind up in phosphate byproducts of the Calvin Cycle, a biophysical pathway plants use for their energy metabolism needs. During the so-called “reduction phase” of the Calvin Cycle, ATP is used to phosphorylate the 3-PGAs, then NADPH is used to reduce (add electrons to) the 3-carbon compound to produce GAP. This is accomplished by one of the phosphate (PO43-) groups being removed, and that's what has the other one of the original oxygens from the CO2. So, basically, if we get rid of all the for-profit/for-power/for-control obfuscation: the best way to deal with any and all "excessive" CO2 from any sources is to stop cutting down forests in general and demolishing the rain forest in particular, and start planting trees instead. Elementary, Watson. Any other "solutions" usually boil down to criminal activity disguised as "environmental."

Which corporations are making profit off polluting those cities? Until you know the answer to this question, the point is moot. There's no such thing as "China polluting," "China" is a word. The actual physical polluting is not performed by an abstract concept. It is performed by corporations making profit off polluting the actual physical land and the actual human beings. E.g. let's say Royal Dutch Shell -- is it making profit off whatever is being done in those Chinese cities that pollutes them? And if yes, does the agreement about paying for pollution say "China," or does it say "Royal Dutch Shell" must pay for cleaning up the act? If it says "China," that's a scam. If it says "Royal Dutch Shell," it's real. Oops... it says "China." Meaning, Royal Dutch Shell will fleece Chinese people to clean (if it feels like it, or not clean, up to them) its own, Shell's, pollution, not "China's pollution of China" but Shell's pollution of China. Same applies to America. It's not "American people polluting America," and it's not American people who must "clean up their act." Yet Shell polluting America supports an agreement that asks American people, not itself, to pay for cleaning up their act. Does it really make sense to you? Does it make sense to you if I push you aside and take control of your house, burn coal, oil, or marshmallows on the carpet in the living-room, and then demand that you, Thelerner, pay for cleaning it up? For making me stop burning coal and marshmallows and starting to burn whatever I tell you I will want to burn next? What will it be? You don't need to know. You don't call the shots in your house. I do. I do what I please, and then demand you clean up the mess I make. Looks fair? Sensible? Worth fighting for?.. But that's the "Paris agreement" for you... ...and a helluva lot of other "agreements."

Too many people don't understand that "countries" is something they would need to assess, in terms of just how much independence to make major far-reaching decisions "countries" have today, in comparison to multinational global corporations. Multinational corporations -- or rather a handful of people owning them, whose country of origin is usually quite beside the point, and whose allegiance invariably lies with their corporate profit and power rather than any particular country or cause -- is what makes and implements all major decisions. Think about it, not "for a moment" but for a year. For ten years. Any "country" that would attempt to challenge or reverse this deadly process of swallowing up planet Earth whole by those insatiable entities is decried as "rogue" by the national servants of the multinational overlords (that's what "governments" of "countries" are these days.) Doesn't matter if it's Russia, China or the US, if it tries to act in service of anything or anyone other than the bigger boss, it is vilified, ridiculed, and usually forced to fall in line. Rule of thumb: if a global mega-corporation with tentacles in every pie is behind any agreement, the agreement is about the most expedient ways to suck your blood. What? You thought it's about helping you? You thought these entities are run by altruists? Research these corporations' history. Find out how exactly they got to be so big and wealthy and powerful and who and what they gobbled up in the process. This might decrease anyone's appetite for prolefeed. And hopefully for dishing it out to others.

  18. Is Tai chi fake?

Reminded me of the time I agreed to teach a complete taiji virgin for the first time. He begged, or I wouldn't have agreed to it, because at the time I had no experience teaching someone with no taiji whatsoever. When I finally said "OK, I'll give it a try," I started by showing him three or four opening moves of my main Chen form, and right then, thirty seconds into the lesson, he told me it's not taiji, as soon as I showed him the Warrior Pounding Mortar move. I'm guessing he had probably seen some Yang demos and there's no such move in Yang. So... after a whole bunch of years under a lineage master, I was shot down within 30 seconds by an expert who had seen some videos. He proved one hundred percent unteachable. Trying to do taiji with a certain mentality frozen into the muscles and joints is like trying to fly by flapping your arms and squawking "buck buck buck buckAHHH!!!" If I told him "step with the left foot first," whereas he stepped with the right, he took offense and thought I'm nitpicking to make him feel bad. If I tried to adjust his arm, it petrified, and if I told him to lower the shoulder, he indignantly pulled his head into his ass, pretty much. I gave up on him in five minutes. What a waste of five minutes. At least now I know that anyone without any personal exposure and yet with an opinion already fully fledged is impervious to taiji.
  19. There's got to be a techno short cut, but I don't know what it is? Write a PM with explanations to a particular mod maybe? I haven't reported anything in years I think, so I forget the drill. OK, since I couldn't figure it out yet, I'll post what I wanted to report here: Folks, something needs to be done about former WeiWuWei threads. The ones I started there were started specifically there so as not to waste any time on trolls -- it was supposed to be a place for "controversial" subjects that would be hard to keep away from whoever has an itch to scratch every time they feel threatened by the common denominator failing to stay put where they want it. Now that OP has lost mod privileges, Nungali is having a troll ball there. ("A Glitch in the Matrix" thread beginning on p.7 specifically.) What's my best course of action? If there's nothing that can be done to deter the trolling, can I delete all my WeiWuWei threads in one fell swoop? Just get rid of those threads altogether? If I only delete what I wrote, it doesn't do anything about specifically the posts I want removed, the trolling posts, and leaves the good/wonderful/meaningful contributions by other members hanging... so I'd rather either ask to remove the troll and the troll posts (I'll delete my responses to him then, or the mods remove them, doesn't matter), or if that's not an option, then delete all my WWW threads. Please let me know what the solution might be. Thanks!
  20. London Bridge

Invented by Zbigniew Brzezinski, who convinced president Jimmy Carter, back in 1979, to incorporate it (literally -- by creating corporations manufacturing it) into the arsenal of tools employed to manipulate various countries, usually toward either their colonization or their demise. http://www.counterpunch.org/1998/01/15/how-jimmy-carter-and-i-started-the-mujahideen/ Here's something else that has caught my eye -- something pretty incredible, actually. https://explorables.cmucreatelab.org/explorables/annual-refugees/examples/webgl-timemachine/ You can click on the name of the country and see what happened there that caused the flow of refugees to start pouring out of it in a particular year (the presentation covers only 2000--2014). Every dot represents 17 refugees. Note the sudden influx of a vast stream of refugees into Russia in 2014 -- from the "aggressee" Ukraine to the "aggressor" if you believe what was being reported... strange, isn't it?.. 320,000 all of a sudden, 2 million in the course of the year. No Muslims there... but the pattern of manufactured conflict/taking sides in a manufactured war/displacement of peaceful civilians/influx of refugees into whatever countries will take them/terrorist attacks in those countries that took them -- is pretty much identical.
  21. That would be awesome, Dawei. Thank you for trying! I hope you succeed!
  22. Thank you, YFC. I'll be sure to check out your teacher's site and follow up.
  23. That's Houtian/Luoshu analysis, or I Ching/bagua/wuxing, i.e. rather generic classical feng shui (in the broad sense, not in the "applied to dwellings" sense.) Although if Xun Yu belonged to a particular school, it may have been called something other than "generic classical feng shui," and in all likelihood was. But I would make the same prediction if I was in Xun Yu's shoes. The southeast trigram is Wind (in the Houtian bagua). The nature of Wind the trigram is "penetration," "movement," "stirring things up by penetrating movement," which the "howling gale" illustrates in its extreme version. Blue and red, the colors of Water and Fire, once we're in the trigrams territory indicate a destructive relationship. Something like that.
  24. Anything you may want to share will be appreciated. Resources, teachers (yes, in Taiwan too...), examples of how you use it in specific cases. I'm all ears.
