  1. Where is the human?

Good questions. It sounds like 禪宗 zhang Zhong questions. What am I ? Where am I before I was born? Where am I after I die? Am I what I am? When I was a child, I looked at the mirror in my house. I remember that I was wondering what I look like. I felt strange about my face. I felt my face was not like this. I felt I should have another face. When I started to learn methods to cultivate. I have tried 禪宗 zhang zhong's methods to observe who or what I am. It is a good method to see inside. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kōan
  2. 张高澄道长 - Daoist Zhang Gaocheng

So how should I say in English? "daozhang"? Or "Taoist priest"?
  3. 张高澄道长 - Daoist Zhang Gaocheng

I have been to 桐柏宮 twice. I have met 張高澄 道長 I have talked about wu liu's problems with other 道長 there. What happen? 張高澄 道長 told me that I am right and I can continue to practice this way. The other 道長 are very nice to me and took me to visit other places and hope me go there again. One of 道長 is very interested in what I said. I mentioned about the things they have not heard before. I made three friends there. I suggest you should go to China to check why your true teacher teach you this way. You should meet more Chinese true teachers in China, not in Russia. The wu Liu school you learned from Russia is very different from China. You should go to China to see what happened. I am not a wu Liu school practicer. I can't teach you. But I can see your attitude is very different from other wu liu's practicers I have seen in China or Taiwan. Can anyone tell me how to translate 道長 into English ? Daoist?
  4. [DDJ Meaning] Chapter 2

萬物作焉而不辭 萬 10 thousand 物 things 作焉 start, wire, do, run 而 but 不 not 辭,訟也,爭也(說文)dispute I think this is the second important of the chapter The most important part is wu Wei And 萬物作焉而不辭 is the second part, is a result of wu Wei Everything start and grow but no dispute Dispute 辭 means duality 不辭 means no dispute, without duality If we have a method, we have a goal. We separate what we are now and future. The one we are now, the one we are in the future. We deny what we are now, and chase what we are not. This is not wu Wei. We don't deny what we are now. What we are is what we are. We just let it grow by itself. Everything will follow the rules of nature Grow by itself
  5. I spent 15 years to chase methods. If you like to spend 15 years to chase methods, that is your choice. Maybe you need 30 years or more... Many people chase methods all their life, And they also have a happy life. I don't teach every student. Because someone do 'need' methods. So in Daoist , the sage said 上士,中士,下士 High people, middle people, low people Everyone is different.
  6. Buddha said 法即非法,methods are not methods We also can explain it as Dharma is no method If we ignore our true inside and chase the outside methods, it just like we are wearing a shoes that is not suitable for us. Every moment we are now is different, but there is some rules never change. Dead methods will pull our qi or will to a place that we may not need right now. Our qi has a process of changes, we need to find more basic rules to let the qi go its own way. We should not use any men-made methods to disturb it. For example, a rule of Ying yang, 陽極生陰,陰極生陽 When the yang comes to end, Ying appear. When the Ying comes to end, yang appear. Everyone know the rules, but how many people know how to follow the rule of Ying yang? I saw so many people only practice yang qi, but ignore Ying qi. When the yang stop working, they think the process is end. Their teacher also only teach them the methods of controlling qi. After the qi stop , they think the practicing is end. That is the biggest problem that I saw. Many people don't treat Hun dun as the process of chi.
  7. No methods. But it has rules. For example, methods like architecture, is man-made, controlled by ego. Rules like physics, is from nature, we can't 'do' anything, just observe it and follow its rules. Can we say follow the rules of nature is a methods? If we have to use a name to discribe the way, we may say it is Wu Wei. Wu Wei doesn't mean non-doing , it means that after knowing the rules of the nature, we follow the rules. For example,The rules of Ying and yang, the rules of lead and Mercury , the rules of heart and kidney, the rules of qi.... If we know the rules of nature, we don't need to use a dead method to do all the process that a teacher said. Take another example, If we like music, but we don't know anything about how to create a song, we can just listen to music, or we can sing the songs made by others. But if we know the rules or essence of music, we may create a song or a music very easy. We can create unlimited songs. Take another example, A physics don't create a rule of physics, he discover it. But a architect create a design of building. We can create numerous methods, but we can't change the rules of dao. If we know the rules of dao, who need the methods? We even can create numberous methods by ourself. If we can create methods, why should we chase other people's methods? I have chased methods for 15 years. After I gave up all the methods. I found the rules little by little. I don't teach my students methods. I can create a lot of secret methods to fool people and make money. But I don't do it.
  8. When the qi go up to head, you'd better get into Hun dun. Or the qi will make you feel uncomfortable. Why? Because the blockage is very deep, if you keep awake, you can't let your qi go into the deep layer of your body. The depth of qi depend on the depth of our consciousness.
  9. Beyond enlightenment

I would say Little enlightenment is knowing the direction of our own true face. Big enlightenment is open the emptiness, just like Lao zi said, 有欲觀其竅,無欲觀其妙,抱一能無離
  10. The Dao De Jhing is a shamanistic treatise

Not westerns. They are all from 中國,central country. Let's see the map of Shan 商朝 It is not in the west https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shang_dynasty
  11. [DDJ Meaning] Chapter 2

Yes So let not talk. Let do the Wu Wei Wu Wei is not non-doing. Is Non-interfering. You can not understand Wu Wei by your brain. That is why I invite people to write the diaries. Then I can adjust the direction for you. Ha, I learn the word here. You know my English word is very few. Not many choice to choose the write words. If you discuss the English with me, I don't know how to answer you. I am not a native English speaker. Maybe after few years, I can use better words to say. But if you don't practice, the more you think, the more confuse you got.
  12. The Dao De Jhing is a shamanistic treatise

There is not much "pure" Chinese now, ha. A lot of war Everything mixed together 山海經 is not only from chu, right? 女媧 is "pure" Chinese, ha.
  13. I look for the Samsara in google. The liberation of Samsara, a big issue, I used to think about it. But it is useless and only waste time. I just start from the zero. Follow the road of wu Wei. If we think too much, for example, the gods, the ghosts or the spirits world, we won't focus on what we are "now" 抱元守一 Hold one and keep it there Be with our true face Stand where we are
  14. I don't know what is Samsara? There is no desire in becoming immortal. You must be mislead by some methods , like imagining to be one with some specific immortal. That is not I talk about. That is a fake method. Use imagination to fool our mind. Yes, there must be some method, the method is "no method", ha. I don't cheat you. That is how I cultivate every day. Wu Wei I wrote a lot in my space, please read it. How "no methods" is the method of the dao.
  15. Beyond enlightenment

I wasted 15 years in a lot of useless methods. You spent more. 30 years. After I gave up all the methods, I finally found the road. I hope you can have the same decision and find the road. Yes, Man-made Mco is dangerous. I told someone in the forum, but he got angry with me, ha. Yes, Tibet Buddhism twist the real teaching from Buddha. If you waste enough time to know all the wrong roads, why don't you follow your own voice? After I wasted for 15 years, I practice by myself. When I do cultivation, I know what is wrong or right. I can avoid the wrong road. After I avoided all the wrong road, the right road show up by itself. Amazing Enlightenment is the start point of daoist cultivation. The one who don't enlightenment will mislead the dao cultivation a lot and chase the feeling of body. Enlightenment is the base of daoist. After enlightenment, we know the direction of our true face. We won't mislead by a lot of crazy useless methods "again". You know Zhang Zhong. I am sure you know what is enlightenment. You know what is your true face. All you need is trust your self.
  16. The Dao De Jhing is a shamanistic treatise

I thought they are strange, too. But after I cultivate for so many years and know so much about energy world, it is not easy to ignore their wisdom. It is not easy to describe the word of pure energy world. The light world The third eye world
  17. Top-to-bottom or Bottom-to-top?

From down to top : du Mai From top to down : Zhong Mai They are not two different roads. They are two different layers. I had both before. From down to top will appear first, then from top to down will be later. If you use breathe skill and focus on lower dan tian, it will run the down to top. If you just relax and feel the exit of god or something great, it often start from top. If you are a healthy and strong man, it will be easier start from down to top. But if you are a high intellectual men, it will be easier to start from top. That is the way of Qi running in our body. Both of the Qi are belong to small medicine. If you cultivate in Xiuan Guan, you will get big medicine, another advanced Qi, is different from both above.
  18. The Dao De Jhing is a shamanistic treatise

No, you must have not read 九歌,nine songs Many gods and supernatural powers Jiu Ge https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jiu_Ge https://youtu.be/IlkBPOX2u7I https://youtu.be/55gOykr_5es And this is another god, 女媧補天 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nüwa And this book ,Classic of Mountains and Seas, 山海經 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Classic_of_Mountains_and_Seas
  19. Is anyone practicing Bajiquan?

For me, all the martial arts are external. Ha.. Including Taijiquan, Baguazhang... I talked with a Taijiquan teacher, Chen's Taijii. He always say all martial arts are external. But I receive his Qi, he has strong Qi in Ren du and legs. Interesting In Taiwan, the master of Bajiquan , 劉雲橋,think small Bajiquan is a way to practice Qi. When they practice small Bajiquan , they open their fists a little to let the Qi more free. I have seen some young boys, about 18-22 years old, university students, Qi go up straight like a white smoke. When they are 站樁,they are shivering, sweating, and three Qi smoke, interesting.
  20. [DDJ Meaning] Chapter 2

Wu Wei is not only an attitude to face the world , but also a way to cultivate in practical practice. The first part of ch 2 say it very clear , because we "chase" for some specific target, we separate the target and us, duality When we know what is beautiful, we are already not beautiful. When we realize what is good, we are already not good. When we cultivate, we think "sitting" meditation is beautiful and good, we already separate ourselves from the real meditation. Ch 1 describe the two states of cultivation. Ch 2 describe the way to cultivate. We don't need any methods or any target when we are cultivate. We just let everything grow by itself. It will change by itself. In the end, the Xiuan Guan will open. 功成而弗居。夫唯弗居,是以不去。 I think the part is the same as 金剛經 ,應無所住而生其心 When we succeed, we don't stay there. Because we don't stay, we don't leave.(dao) I open Xiuan guan without any methods because I know if I use methods, the Xiuan guan would not open. Few people trust the power of wu Wei. When cultivating, everything is seeking a secret method. Ch 2 is the method I use. I use it every day and last for many years. We should trust Lao zi, right?
  21. The Dao De Jhing is a shamanistic treatise

    Chinese culture
  22. [TTC Study] Chapter 4 of the Tao Teh Ching

真人至妙,若有若無。髣髴太淵,乍沈乍浮。 This is from Cantong qi. 淵兮似萬物之宗... 湛兮似或存。吾不知誰之子,象帝之先。 This is from TTC ch 4 The same thing, something or "someone" is sinking and showing. That is the way the immortal appear. I am glad that Lao zi don't know where this one come from. When I saw it first time, I don't know, too. And I still don't know now.
  23. [DDJ Meaning] Chapter 1

。是以聖人處無為之事,行不言之教;萬物作焉而不辭,生而不有,為而不恃,功成而弗居。 TTC ch 2 Wu Wei --> everything is spontaneous without dispute Everyone is always searching some secret methods to reach dao. Why don't you believe wu Wei is the secret method? People like to control everything. Using some methods to reach a target you want. Do you see something wrong in this concept? You are reading TTC and searching a secret method at the same time. Don't you feel you are really splitting? Ok. You might say, I am sitting here and do nothing, but nothing still happen. Actually, you are not do nothing. You are always "thinking" Your focus is the source of energy. When you are thinking, you are losing your energy, but you don't aware anything lost, you think you are doing nothing. So , hundreds of secret methods are there. Fool your focus. Let your focus don't waste on thinking. Why do we use these secret methods to fool our focus? Why don't we just let our focus come back and not let it waste in the thinking? Of course, we can. We don't need any secret methods to fool ourselves. We can take our focus back. How? Back to where? Ok. Now it seems like a Zhang Zong problem, right? 谷神不死,是謂玄牝。玄牝之門,是謂天地根。綿綿若存,用之不勤 TTC ch 6 The root of the world Root Back to root What is the root? TTC tries to describe what is the root 玄牝之門 The door of Xiuan Pin Xiuan guan玄關 So Xiuan Guan is the door of root But, we can see the daoist cultivation is totally twisted in the world. The secret methods of cultivating Qi become the main roles of daoist cultivation. We lost our "true" face for chasing a "true" teacher and a lot of secret methods.
  24. The Dao De Jhing is a shamanistic treatise

The Dao De Jhing is a shamanistic treatise? Hahaha.... Interesting This is the first time I've heard of shaman.
