Dudes, let's wait and see. Be like water, my friend, the new dynamic site will be on shortly. Do what you can with what you have now.
-
Come on, is there a video showing that?
-
It is not only Taiji. This same technique is used in other martial arts and it is a natural reaction of someone who knew how to defend himself. I don't see this perspective in regards of the taiji master and the mma fighter

I still don't understand why using the word saint ่ไบบ as it seems the appropriate way to translate is "sage". Is that the way people still understand the sage as a saint? And which translation did he use to make word analysis?

Philosophical vs. religious Taoism - Split Discussion
Mig replied to dust's topic in Newcomer Corner
West as west of what? I can see many people read translations and say they are Daoists. IMO, if you learn both the religious and the philosophical and practice it then most likely you are a Daoist practitioner. -
I am talking about experience. Late Erle didn't have the best reputation and known for his theories on Dim Mak and vital point striking. It was laughable. Many people in the martial arts world didn't agree with his methods and conclusions and there were valid reasons. As I said, we know better today in terms of fighting for real not those devastating techniques in fighting that I heard in the 60s and 70s.
-
My friend, we have heard that time after time the same stories, the problem those prowess are never seen. Fantasy and reality are two different things. Fighting is nothing new and today we know better, thank God.
-
How do we know they are devastating? All those arts are to be respected but can not be glorified as devastating fighting arts just like individuals. Those days of hearsay and stories are gone. We know better now.
-
Really, how long this rhetoric have been said for the past 30 years? And according to you what has changed with the invasion of Islam in France?
-
Can we see an example, of a Master with qi, control distance and being able to counter attack? Those days are gone of imagination, if you practice ground, fist, kick, grappling, clinching most likely you will survive.
-
I am afraid those Lei tai stories during that time are more of hearsay than real fight in whatever aspect: bare knuckles, ground fighting, real fight as in real life. There is more fantasy than reality in that part of history

ไธๅไบ่ไธๅๅคซ not sure if this apply in this video clip. Starting 1993 the beginning of a wake up call about CMA efficiency in fighting. It is not only the style but the individual. The problem I have always encountered with most of CMA is the efficiency in fighting and clearly we know that there is much more mysterious, secret art that doesn't work in real life.

If it is not martial art why using the name of fist (quan) of the ultimate? What is taiji if is not a martial art?

I was very surprised that the French elections has not been mentioned even in the media here in States, not even a secondary news meanwhile in many other countries people follow closely an important event in France. In one hand, there is an interesting history fact where people will vote to the center and to the far right. Nobody had expected such results and now it seems that center may win considering the difficulty in getting together everybody to start new policies at the regional and national level in France. On the other hand, some people have said including philosopher Michel Onfray, that is all rigged and not much will change from the past. As I am reading about Onfray, it seems that some his philosophy is much inclined to a daoist perspective in regards of nature.

Philosophical vs. religious Taoism - Split Discussion

I doubt they're philosophical strictu sensu, I imagine they're new age imagination thinkers or western idealized thinking n little consideration of Chinese culture. -
Not as easy at it appears. The fact that a young educated individual or "technocrat" in one year he was able to become the first young president breaking up the classical political different rights against different lefts and some center. The results show the differences, the hope and the ras le bol of politician's promises for the past 30 or 40 years depending on opinions and still aiming to unite the whole country. MLP vote, I wouldn't say was popular, her rising to become a political party has been based on fear and intimidation as her father did in the past and the base grew from those who believed in ideals that are not French. There is a reason why Le Front National is thinking to revisit their policies and a new way to fight in this new political landscape. What's going to happen next will be interesting to check as new challenges will be difficult to face for the next parliamentary votes. This is where "democracy" is in place and I would venture to say that few countries in this world have democratic views and practices. At least that is my opinion only.
-
Indeed, he won and now there are more questions to find out the answer in how to govern against a ferocious left and far right. At least one can see the real democracy in place.

Is this the same as the fat big belly Buddha you find anywhere in shops or in restaurants? If he is the one how it became Chinese?

I wonder why 3 not four or more? If you in earth why not laying down, especially is the earth element? What kind of control and how to to control? About control, how much control do you have when you drive turning in a corner, do you measure each side of the car not to hit the curb or another car. It seems to me is all about approximations not control. We don't even control ourselves but we pretend we control, some may manage life but don't control not even life. How earth is eternal and relaxed? My eyes don't see earth that way unless there is water to make the earth move, the fire that make earth explode and the air that makes earth dry. And how can you align with the Dao? Just wondering.

I thought that movie link was posted somewhere in the forum. What's your opinion on what's said regarding the DDJ or Daoism?
-
And with that recipe, what's the result? A different kid? A better kid? Showing is easy or telling them. Kids, I noticed, will do unless they are motivated then they will follow otherwise they don't want to hear, don't want to listen.
-
Why there is an agreement of bing ็ definition as illness, disease. It seems that the meaning is fault. Any clarification on that?
-
Thanks and good information to read.

What parts in the DDJ may apply to parenting? Any examples or chapters from the DDJ?
