  1. recovering from mental illness

Thanks bubbles, maybe I don't understand AussieTrees post completely.. I can definitely be a know it all, so I have to watch out for that! .. It's been a couple of months with quite a few changes, moving out my parents house and all.. All in all, despite the often times increased overthinking and worrying, I may not be doing as badly as I sometimes think, still able to keep up my job, having a few good friends and family I look forward seeing, meditation and running/gym.. Could be doing better though, especially my diet, which is really not good.. Intermittent fasting is easy to keep up nowadays, but eating the right foods, for some reason I don't want to even though that feels a lot better. Sitting on the fence is not going to help though..

Are you politely trying to say I'm a "know it all"? .. I don't like that, but yes it has been one of my problems and it probably still is. Probably very obvious for most people to see about me.. Maybe it is not for me to go without medication for a long time. Since tapering off and then quitting completely 1.5 year ago, a lot of "drive" has disappeared and although no audible voices, things feel much harder in my head.. I'm afraid that I will have to set aside my pride at some point and start taking it again, maybe better sooner than later.. .. Thank you though, it might be a hard wake up call, but one I need to hear again.

  4. Qigong deviation syndrome cure ?

Hi Hanez, so sorry to hear you're going through this.. Having had some experience with psychosis, I know it can be a complete hell. But it's very possible that you can recover from it too. If you find yourself in such a situation, try to stay centered and not add to things. Anything you have lost, you have lost in the past. You are here now and you can take back your life, no matter what kind of horrible sensations your body is going through. It may take some time, so be patient with yourself, even though you're completely out of patience! It is important for you to regain ground in every day situations, no matter what is going on around you or in your body. Qi gong or meditation can still be done later on if you still desire that. First things first and find back some calm.. Don't do anything that is going to cause you or anyone else further harm. If you are having trouble discerning wether or not you're still capable of this, I highly recommend to seek out counsel with someone you trust, preferably go to a doctor too. People will listen to you and help you.. It may even be that it's best to take medications for a while if you're seeing a doctor. Just remember to not make things worse. There is always someone you can trust. You will know this person and hear their advice more clearly.
  5. no one is guilty

Well, I won't put out any names or names of products of spiritual trojan horses on a public forum. Having been part of a "no free will" spirituality group, and the negative consequences for myself and others in my family.. Well, I can then speak from experience and recommend against such philosophies. What was also interesting was that the leader of that group came out years later in public and said it (no free will) was just a white lie he used to help people let go. That is not to say that it's not interesting to think about or can have no value to a person at some point in their lives.. I just think that from experience, believing that I can change things, as irrational as that may seem to some! .. just personally helps me more than ("wanting to") believing otherwise ("because it's convenient"). So in my experience with mental illness, I suggest everyone to take more responsibility for their lives, myself included.
  6. no one is guilty

Hm, I think like Luke says there's some truth to it.. It's just that getting to 'a state of innocence' is something that I believe most people will have to work hard for and would be more of a result from the work done with meditation and daily activity. Does anyone think it can be skipped? I also believe that some people that went into spiritual practises, whom came out acknowledged as "masters" because they can do some stuff, have the potential to mislead other people and probably know themselves that they are doing it to them.. Yet they don't change, why is that? Thinking about things like black magick for instance.. And some products being sold online may also be highly misleading and disguised as something "light" while behind the scenes other things can be at work.. Yet these products were created by people that claim they are of the light and wanting to help bring enlightenment to people.. Maybe these sellers can delude themselves into thinking they are innocent and even enlightened? I believe that sooner or later the universe is going to give them a rough wake up call though..

Thank you. I have been doing a few different standing meditations too.. But I should put in more sincerity, that is what takes real courage, not just going through the motions like I have often been.. There is a real difference and like others pointed out, developing wisdom, which sounds like working smarter is what makes things work better.. I just get frustrated with myself and doubts sometimes. It's becoming clear that I've proved the doctors otherwise, however I still have a long way to go in developing wisdom.
  8. hi :)

Just saying hi I have been practising meditation for a few years, trying to recover from mental illness (schizophrenia). Have been viewing this forum for a while and some of the things posted really interest me and get me thinking or motivate me to do better. Thanks and greetings
