  1. Hello Hello Hello

Hi Yamamoto, Welcome to the forums! Glad you decided to join and look forward to hearing from you in discussions.
  2. Help me where to start.

Hi eternal_spirit, Welcome to the forums! There are some who can offer you really good directions and advice. I see some have offered to help already. Good luck in finding your way forward!
  3. I just picked it because I liked the picture with water, etc. 🙂 Don't know if it's heaven on earth.
  4. I am just a fellow traveler or player and I am always here to help anyone that asks my friend .
  5. I am not projecting. The senses and the mind are projecting. It is like playing a virtual reality video game. And, each one is us have to find the answers for ourselves. Divine help is available if we reach out. Best wishes in your journey!
  6. It can appear so. Body is just a projection like everything else.
  7. The heights of satisfaction

The natural state of being, or residing is neither a pleasurable (feeling high) experience nor a state of misery or suffering. It is called bliss, but it is not ecstatic bliss states like samadhi that comes and goes, though we can get a glimpse of it from samadhi states. There can be no observer and observed, such as the pleasurable moments of bliss you describe with a seperate experiencer. By being present in the now and observing, we come to know these are just experiences. No need to reject the blissful experiences. All experiences are valid. Let's go through them while being present totally in the now. This process of being present can be very helpful for the truth to unfold.
  8. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Though, my views on this are different. If it can be named, if it can be described as the state of freedom, easy, fresh, energized, etc., then that's not it for me. Who feels fresh, energized, etc? Is it the local body and mind or something else? Also, as this post says, I see it as ever expanding potential, and not any fixed state.
  9. Though I get the general idea, it is not clear as to what these fragments are and how exactly they get carried over into the new form. Taking an example, like a person (male) dies. At the time of death, upto his throat chakra was open, he also has stored karma and issues. Can you please explain with different potential scenarios of what happens to this person? Can he get fragmented into 2 different forms, different fragments landing in different forms? Will all the new forms from the fragments will still have the same situation in chakras, upto throat chakra open at birth. If you have some other better example, then please use that to explain this. Also, if there is a delay from the time the fragments leave to the time they find a suitable form/body, where, how or in what state will they remain?

In my experience, it need not be music, it can be anything, like the sound of the waves when we sit in a beach, or just the white noise from a fan or ventilator. When we listen with entire attention, which means we are just one with the flows and in a residing state like Rigpa. When we are in this state, one clue I can describe is the music or the sound will suddenly be louder and felt entirely. There are generally no thoughts in the mind. The experience that you described sounds like you may have had some kind of opening, while listening to music with attention. Even a momentary silence for few seconds can possibly bring such energetic openings. But when we truly continue to reside in the state of being and just listen, generally there are no experiences, except for the state of being which is one with the music and listening. When the separation vanishes, that is when it is felt as louder or in a different pitch. There is no observer experiencing other things separately at this point. It can initially start as just for flash of a moment or few seconds. As our clarity increases, and the mind gets calmer, the duration will keep increasing. Best Wishes!
  11. And thanks to everyone for participating in this discussion so far.
  12. Yes, I would also like to hear both of your perspectives about reincarnation. I am interested in knowing how this differs from the classical view. Please feel free to discuss it here. I see all of this as part of this topic in a broader context.
  13. We are all part of one universal mind. Those with their heart and throat (4&5) chakras open, may be able to feel the energy from others remotely. Those with the 3rd eye open (6th chakra), might be able to see and feel remotely, not just into others in this world, but beings like deities, etc. in other dimensions. Astral travel might also be possible. But what we see at this level (6th) is the translation of the underlying energy into vision, by our local mind. After the crown (7th chakra) is open and subsequently with divine grace, one reaches the light state. At this state the 7 chakras collapse into a unified field, which is also referred to as inner heart, or the 8th chakra. At this level, it is not seeing anymore, but a person is expanding to actually be everything there is.
  14. Agreed. Certain things become clearer as our clarity increases.
  15. I understand your reservation in mixing things, that's your choice. I appreciate what tallies with my own understanding and realizations, doesn't matter to me where they come from. Similarly I discard things that do not tally no matter where they come from. This is what Gautam Buddha also did and advocated. He taught that we can't accept anything at face value if it contradicts our own experience. This critical thing is forgotten and Buddhism has become another dogma for some. Something that Buddha was completely opposed to.
  16. Can we say it's the mandala of everyone, but only the enlightened ones are conciously aware of it?
  17. There is local body/mind and then the Universal mind. This universal mind sounds similar to Self/Atman in Hindu philosophy. The universal mind is explained very well in Lankavatara Sutra. Please check the link below. It is this universal mind that is ever expanding. Only, Buddha goes on to determine, that is also empty. http://buddhasutra.com/files/lankavatara_sutra.htm
  18. This is certainly a valid perspective also. From my limited understating and with some minor glimpses I got, what Jeff explained above makes perfect sense to me. I feel what you mentioned perhaps covers only one part of the that equation in the Heart sutra. The form is Emptiness. When we consider the whole equation, then the infinite expansion makes sense.
  19. Sage Uttanga was a friend of Krishna. Krishna impressed by his friend's devotion, once showed his Viswaroopa (cosmic form) to him and also offered to grant a boon for him. Uttanga has no great desires, he says, "Krishna, I go through deserts and forests and sometimes it is difficult to find water, whenever I am really thirsty and need water, can you please ensure that I get the water?". Krishna says, so be it granting him the boon. But, Krishna felt he needs to do more for his friend out of compassion. So, he goes to Indra and asks him to give amrita/nectar to his friend Uttanka, to make him an immortal. In Indra's opinion Uttanga was not ready and did not deserve to have the nectar. But, he can't argue with Krishna. So, he agrees to give Uttanga the nectar with a condition. He will go in any form he wishes and offer it to Uttanga 3 times, if he takes it he can become an immortal. Krishna agrees. Indra goes to Uttanga in the form of a Chandala. Here is one version of story that narrates what happened next. The divine may appear in some form in our life also, offering us great possibilities. Sometimes it may not be clear outwardly. Are we ready not to discriminate, identify and seize the opportunity?
  20. New User here, music fanatic and also confused

Yes, that's possible. But I am not sure if you are familiar with the type of confusion and concerns I am talking about, in relation to Kundalini and drugs. They are a whole different category. One just has to briefly look at internet forums dedicated to yoga/raising Kundalini, etc. to notice what I am talking about, the concerns and severe energetic misalignment resulting from drug use or abuse.

Yes, I have also rarely come across some one that complained of Kundalini energy issues, just because of weed. Unless, it was used in combination with other drugs, including some prescription medications. Interactions can be unpredictable. Mostly I have seen such complaints come from heavy or repetitive users of drugs like LSD and some types of mushrooms. If it occurs due to ripeness or expansion of natural awareness, typically it results in a very pleasant experience, or may not even be noticed conciously if it is entirely smooth expansion, and I doubt it will result in a scary experience or cause any major concerns.

Your rejection is duly noted as your opinion and I don't feel a need to reject your opinion, since you are entitled to your opinions in my view. Have a nice day! 🙂

Raising the Kundalini by heavy drug use is what I called as one of the dumb brute force methods. It was not in relation to weed, and before Yokon shared his personal experience. I wrote something about it after his post also, to let go what happened in the past. Using drugs, it used to be called as medicinal herbs, was one of the 5 or 6 standard or documented ways to raise the energy as per very early texts from various traditions. There is a proper name in the tradition for this method. It is called the 'Oushadhi Marga' or the herbal/medicinal path. Mainly hallucinogenic herbs were used by masters who had the expert knowledge over them to raise the energy in the aspirant in a safe way, under their supervision. This knowledge is completely lost over the centuries and no one advocates this method anymore for various reasons. Generally it results in various complications as is clear from what I have seen in my experience. If it happened, it just happened. There is no point in dwelling over any past experience. Experiences are just that, whether it is a beautiful experience or terrible experience are all qualifications and labels our mind likes to add to these stories. And yes, I consider taking drugs with the aim to to raise Kundalini or energy is a dumb brute force method, when there are so many other safe alternative methods available.
  24. Yes, I agree entirely with the above. Some basic or fundamental tenets themselves as you pointed out are irreconcilable. Engaging in such actions can result in unresolvable exercises just resulting in confusion.

Based on what you stated in the post above, I think it may be wise to get professional medical help also, while at the same time trying to find a holistic solution that you can work through to resolve the energy issues.
