Go along with me: Daoist priest as a rain maker...
qicat replied to qicat's topic in Daoist Discussion
Oroville Dam a ticking time bomb for years 7 Hours Ago | 06:44 No, humans cannot make it rain, stop the rain, or produce real rainbows in the sky. But we can do things that protect ourselves from the rain and get it to work for our agriculture and overall economy. And it's clearer than ever that Californians have simply failed to do those things as the Oroville Dam crisis continues to force massive evacuations and raises fears of a potential disaster. http://www.cnbc.com/2017/02/13/californias-oroville-dam-disaster-is-a-wake-up-call-commentary.html /*************/ Well, if news are saying no human can do it... topic is closed:) -
Why don't you visit a real shaman and ask for a ritual and see for yourself. I have a "Books" thread in my PDD. I will post on shamanic references from my research there. I will keep you posted. May I ask, what exactly do you understand by the Taoist Alchemy? What exactly do you mean by Shamanic Practice? I think before I engage with you in this discussion, we need to set a benchmark of what is being discussed. I need to see if you are able to take the concept outside of the ritual and "see" the nature of the object/action performed adjusted to local customs.

Teachers who accept money vs. teachers who teach for free

Teachers who accept money vs. teachers who teach for free
qicat replied to sillybearhappyhoneyeater's topic in Daoist Discussion
mmmmmmmmmm.............. ....in my tradition..... ....when you go to a shaman.... ....he is not allowed to ask for money.... ...but don't you dare not to pay.... ...you pay what you can... ...if you are rich, you gift a horse.... ..if you are poor, you gift whatever you have - even a matchstick, a coin... ...why?.... spirit work... ...spirits are very sensitive creatures... easily offended... who needs a feud... so, if you need a gymnastics teacher ( I suggest you pick a young cute "yoga bunny" white blond, they are the best in spiritual bullshitting), you either pay or do not pay - your choice... but if you are really into energy/spirit work learning - I STRONGLY suggest you pay. Even if teacher does not accept it. Just leave the "gift"( i.e. money, actual gift, service, etc) with the teacher. also, there is a tradition of declining a gift/payment of three times... I hope you know it... -

Uroboros: I am not sure I have an answer to your question. Google does not say much: https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=drought+in+california Too many people? Too much agriculture? Global warming/cooling? Who knows... Gendao: Your reply is outstanding. I would like to clarify though that it was not a work done on me. Here is a short version of the story: 1. There had been drought in California ( known fact) 2. There had been a huge forest fire which firefighters could not stop and fire got dangerously close to town... 3. Qicat thought, "What could stop the fire?" Brilliant answer, "Water!" ( my teacher would be proud I remember something out of 5 elements theory ). 4. Qicat went to "talk" ( see post above) 5. Qicat never saw him doing anything or participated in anything. 6. Two days later rain came and the fire was gone. 7. Few weeks later there was a strange coincidence of a random TV news at the gas station saying in my ear that there are flash flood warnings in that area... Qicat thought... "weird...but whatever..." 8. Few month later, the road was closed due to mudslide... Too much rain ( infrastructure is not suitable for proper drainage)... so qicat is wondering if it's time to visit the priest again and ask some questions... ........ Now, as you see, the intent was to stop the fire from destroying the forest. I am simply a "concerned citizen". If this worked thousand years ago, why can't it work now? And it seems it's actually working... p.s. But I think you might be right in part of a personal practice ( i.e. inner universe, outer universe), if it really works, if I fix whatever is inside, outside theoretically will be fixed ( So, "too much drought & rain" also means "not enough reservoir capacity.") Will keep you posted:) -

qicat replied to qicat's topic in Daoist Discussion
mmm.... Spotless... you claim to be Awaken/Enlightened ( I read your threads).... yet here you sidetrack the conversation... yet every Enlightened theoretically should be able to call rain... any true Daoist shaman should be able to call rain... any priest of the true lineage should be able to call rain... I am asking simple question on a particular topic of rain making. Not cars, not "wishes", nada... Share your wisdom on this...rain...water...flood.. So many quantum physics theoretical battles here, yet I am a simple girl with a plain request - "Rainmaking theory and practice 101". -

so.... if theoretical kidney(water) energy was offered... then to counter balance theoretical spleen ( earth) energy offering should ... control water energy?... -
Meow all: I had a really strange lucid dream last night. Someone I know, but not in a good relationship lately was casting I-Ching in regard to me. And they got "33 changes to 8". We have not seen each other for a while and, honestly, seems like "quarrelsome star" had been over energizing this relationship, so I found this dream rather odd. The person in question does active cultivation and such. Interestingly enough, it was exactly "33" ( retreat) which caused some issues ( they needed a major ego work in order to proceed further, etc). I was kind of offended by that, but hey, if someone needs space, go for it. However, the "retreat" did not start well ( caused loss of money from my side). If someone will just show up out of the blue to make amends... should I go with "8"? I am just a human and I do have my feelings hurt because of that rejection. Any thoughts welcome... Meow...

I-Ching Casting in a Dream: 33 changes to 8. What does it mean?
qicat replied to qicat's topic in Yijing
Yes, this is exactly correct. Since everybody is our own mirror, the situation you have read applies to me and my friend equally. In fact, based on what I know about this person, similar situation came around about 4-5 years ago with someone who was very dear to that person. I sometimes was convinced that this has nothing to do with me, but a replay of the situation for my friend to take it differently ( i.e. "uses adamance to push the outside away rather than dissolving within"). From my side, I am still in a process of learning to hold the center. Thank you for walking me through this. 谢谢 -

What are the lessons you learned in your spiritual journey?

maybe... but then, what about energy ramification with some tools ( think vedic astrology stones/mantras/etc recommendations)? I would not mention "free will" here, but... everybody has a joker in their pocket, they just don't know they even have that secret pocket...- 21 replies

Methods, transmission of them and miracles
qicat replied to Arkady Shadursky's topic in Daoist Discussion
Can you please elaborate more on Spirits in dreams? I am doing a research on this right now. Maybe you can help me with the following questions? ( If in a lucid dream) 1. The spirit has a shape and form and looks "healthy" and is physically talking to you/touching you - is it a real spirit or your subconsciousness? 2. The spirit has a shape and a form, but "feels ghostly" ( as it was traveling from the far away and should not be here) and is physically talking to you/touching you - is it a real spirit or your subconsciousness? 3. If next day you see in a dream a vigil by people you know alive for the spirit who came to you night before ( the spirit of a dead person) - does it mean they sent that spirit back. ( Just connecting two dreams together, the spirit was talking ( but I have no memories), holding my third eye for very long time in a dream (but it felt very physical), and I also "felt" it ( spirit) is not supposed to be "here" ( this dimension). I told someone in RL about my strange dream and next day I saw a dream about vigil. I have a strong suspicion they did a ritual to send this spirit back (???). Do you have any book references on dreamwork ( not new age lucid dreaming stuff, but something preferably "original" translations of the old texts?) -meow thanks ***** p.s. The spirit in question is a spirit of a teacher of a person whom I told about my strange dream. I have not studied with this teacher ( at least in this lifetime) and never seen this teacher in person. The person I told my dream to was studying with that teacher for a very long time. There was no conversations/actions/etc which would trigger such dreams ( i.e. spoke about the teacher before going to bed, etc). I saw this teacher twice in my dreams: one time last February where he was "alive feeling" and now this February where he is a "ghost feeling". -
mmm... actually qigong and daoist/Buddhist practices IS a modernized(*) shamanism... WU ... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wu_(shaman) (*) as compared to the times of the Shining Ones...

What are the lessons you learned in your spiritual journey?
qicat replied to Shad282's topic in General Discussion
1. Experiences are real to the one who is experiencing it. Hold the space for those who need it, don't question their reality. 2. There is a structure and science to the process, unfortunately, the knowledge of it had been modified/lost/hidden/etc. No single person holds the ultimate knowledge ( keys) to the process, thus, choose your teachers wisely. 3. Dreams are real. 4. Live beings have a glow around them, ghosts don't. 5. If it "feels off", it is "off". 6. Don't judge "energy junkies", when you taste it, you will understand that "it is better than sex, it is better than drugs, it is better than alcohol"... 7. 99.99% of humans have heavy/dirty/low energy when you dig deeper... 8. Connect to me at the heart level, don't look at pretty face ( butt) or brains... 9. Old-wives tales, myths and fairytales are surprisingly full of useful information... 10. Good TCM doctor can literally save your life in the process. Bad TCM doctor will load energetic crap on you and sell you herbs you don't need. ( personal experience) 11. It's hard for men get past first dantian ( stuck on sex), it's hard for women get past second dantian ( stuck on emotions). ( if you know any remedies, do share...) 12. Cats can roam anywhere they want.- 21 replies

1) i started feeling quite strong emotions of fear and anxiety ( 10/10 ) and developed panic attacks. - kidneys 2) sometimes i would have burst of anger - liver 3) and little bit frequently i would feel quite strong feeling of sadness. - lungs you are actually on a "walked by many" path. You need to find a qigong doctor who would prescribe you qigongs which would help with those organs. However, it might not work in a short term ( that's why I find acupuncture/moxa/some herbs a faster way to deal with this). ... For fear ( personal experience) just remember the movie "Inception", when you hold either an Earth's equator or whatever in your mind and don't let it slip. I know that "FEAR", the all consuming irrational ( no reason attached) fear/darkness, it fucks up with you ALOT. Just hang on there. Also, they say praying helps, but I just recently started to remember do that. It actually helps.... at least to get out of that 10/10 fear state.

oh, and gardening... it helps with energy overload... hard gardening work, put your hands in dirt and dig... and it seems you also don't know how to ground yourself ( many techniques, but most common one is to attach your own cord to the center of the earth. Don't feel bad though if you did not learn that, only my recent teacher taught me properly do that. Previous ones and "workshops" ones never even mentioned it or did it very vaguely. Qigong is a science and there are safety mechanisms in place, the problem is to discover it before you blow your brains out:P And because you are a boy, I would also suggest really good mindless no energy circulation f%%k to release the energy and then hot/cold spa ( preferably hot springs if you have it in your area), cleans crap like magic:)

https://www.amazon.com/Secret-Teachings-Chinese-Energetic-Medicine/dp/0991569016/ref=pd_sim_14_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=03AMQZ348FCCWT8N2SWT Chapter 19 and after: "Energetic deviations occur naturally through the course of everyday life; however, the body's energetic constitution is normally able to quickly cor- rect any disharmony in energy flow. The difficulty when cultivating Qi is not in the accumulation of large amounts of energy, but in the creation of a constitutional system strong enough to use this energy without being damaged by it. This is one reason why Qigong doctors initially spend years develop- ing the safety measures and internal reservoirs necessary to ensure that their bodies will not be dam- aged by creating too much energy too fast. The alteration of energetic patterns can result in feelings ranging from simple discomfort to an abnormal susceptibility to either disease or emotional instability. Through proper Medical Qigong therapy, however, Qi deviations can be rectified. " You need to know if this is internal or external. I have spent a lot of time lately trying to figure out is it qi deviations or external dragons... ( if you know what I mean, than you know what I mean). My advice is to find acupuncturist who also knows about qigong ( I got lucky that I was introduced to one), my acupuncturist by needle patterns figured out it was not an internal qi deviation, but "external dragons". Note, this is a very delicate work and most of the acupuncturists would not know what they are dealing with. Most likely you got "too open" and invited some crap in. I also asked him what does "qi deviation" looks like and he told me "you would definitely know as things are "off" ( note, this is for a mentally healthy person, if you have a history of mental disorders, contact your teacher asap). I do get sometimes internal qi deviations ( picking up new layers of crap to clean so to say) and it is very different when external winds are coming my way. p.s. I also started taking herbs to strengthen weiqi field. ( something like this: https://www.planetherbs.com/specific-herbs/jade-screen-traditional-chinese-formula-to-strengthen-the-immune-system.html). While on "western" medicine it is for "flu" prevention, on the "spiritual" part it will not allow any external pathogens to get through, which will leave you with internal crap to clean up... and god help you with that... ( ask me how I know.. meow) p.p.s this is not a medical advice and for general information only. Please consult your doctor in regard to any herbs/protocols.
