  1. I think I should start to progress again now, so it's a good thing I started posting and asking questions otherwise I would not have really understood the significance of moving yin and yang. Hopefully in a few months time I'll have moved on from where I'm at now. THANKS FOR THE HELP!
  2. Okay, I need to engage my glutes. I can be so clueless sometimes! I'm going to try and take a few days off the internet so I can take things a bit more seriously and read some books instead. I think that qi projection went to my head and it blew me off course somewhat, so I need to start taking things a bit more seriously again. Thanks for the help everyone, Drew etc.
  3. Great thanks. I'll just keep doing moving yin and yang until I start to feel something I suppose.
  4. I just did 15 minutes moving yin and yang and my legs were shaking for the last few minutes. It's totally different. I was talking in my mind the whole time, I felt no qi and I couldn't do the deep breathing either. So there's obviously something missing somewhere. I did it with my back against the door and I noticed my glutes weren't activated, it was my calves and quads where I felt it in the muscles and I could feel some heat in my calves right near the start. But I don't know if that was qi or not because I've never felt qi in my legs before. Now I'm sitting down again I get feel the qi and do the correct breathing, But not while doing moving yin and yang!
  5. I just edited what I wrote about the San people and thought I'd put it here in case anyone's interested. As far as I'm concerned right now this is the highest level of alchemy there is, no human bodies involved in the process! The women are the personifications of the negative force -- they control everything because they are closer to the earth and parthenogenetic forces of creation -- Mother nature. The men personify the positive force and are therefore closer to the spirit. The two forces then merge together on a transpersonal level within the tribal body when the shaman goes into trance and that is when the healing begins. That is why his actions are selfless on the human scale because there's no sense of an individual self in the first place. All the work is done within the body of the tribe.
  6. Alchemy and the Tribal Body

I'm not really getting hung up on that image. But it just happens to be the one image I could get hung up on. So it just happened to be a good coincidence which I passed by. Video images are FAKE NEWS pseudo-religious simulacrum that play on the lower emotions. Fantasy at the speed of light
  7. Alchemy and the Tribal Body

I've been celibate since before I started posting on the forum! But I've got the image of that athletic asian girl doing horse stance in my head now so who knows maybe I'll blow it before I make it to the immortal stage!
  8. Alchemy and the Tribal Body

You probably have to get into the immortal body while your alive first and then you'll know for sure. So are there any immortals on the forum or what? allinone?
  9. Alchemy and the Tribal Body

One of the big mistakes of Western Metaphysics i.e. from the time of Plato, is the hard-line couplings i.e. essence and existence, soul and body, spirit and matter, light and dark etc. That way of thinking is erroneous.
  10. Alchemy and the Tribal Body

What do the classic texts say about the after-life? I don't really know what to think right now. Really the energetic planes seem to exist within a domain, or have the same ontological status, that's the same as the Western soul's and that survives death. So if you can access these things while you're "in" your physical body what happens when the physical body dies? Primitive peoples and shamans don't really have a clear cut distinction between the realm of the dead and the realm of the living.
  11. I am fairly new to nei dan (few weeks), but have been into esoteric philosophy for a while. However, for the sake of this topic I'll say I, based on my VERY LIMITED knowledge of qigong practise, seem to have fairly good mid-level abilities perhaps also verging on advanced with some evidence of external qi projection in the form of healing. http://www.thedaobums.com/topic/43744-first-attempt-at-healing/ I am completely lacking in the basics i.e. I DON'T KNOW SHIT! So I'm looking for some help putting together a daily practise in the hope of building a solid base -- physical body/Jing. My back is never really straight when I breathe into the heat in the LDT so the heat is generally in the false DT and my alignment of the three fields is totally off! Plus I'm not really sure what I ought to be doing when I meditate. I don't have my emotions plugged into any external institutions -- no porn, no shopping, falling for advertising, no TV, no politics, no social media etc and I don't seem to have any problems quieting the mind at all. It seems to turn off like a switch, then I'm able to expand my awareness and feel the subtle energies. Right now I just breathe into the heat while I'm sitting down or walking outside and it gets hot/warm. Sometimes its just there in the background while my attention isn't on it, sometimes I focus on it and breathe wherever it happens to be and sometimes I don't really feel it. I'm not really doing the orbit. I've done it a couple of times and can feel the energy right around the body, it washes down the chest and then heats up again in the LDT. Then at times when I'm breathing into the heat it will go into the bladder and sometimes into the heart so that's where I put the focus -- always on the warmth. Right now it's actually in the tailbone. I accidentally initiated the LDT a few weeks ago just by doing some reverse breathing for a few minutes after being celibate for 5 days and then, because I'd read about the MCO I put some of the energy in my head via the spine and the instant I did that I felt its effects at the crown of the head. Then for 6 hours my consciousness got caught up in the LDT so it was just getting hotter and hotter! That's why I joined the forum because I was a bit unsure what I was supposed to do with all that energy. But eventually I managed to get back into my head and things cooled down. Anyway, I was hoping I could get some help with bulletpoint things to do which I can follow from morning to night. I'm free all day to practise. Thanks!
  12. Looking for Advise on a Daily Practise

I'm not experiencing anything intense other than a very slight headache for maybe the last 12 hours. In terms of spiritual/psychological/philosophical experience with qigong I'd already crossed a few liminal zones in the past so none of that stuff is a problem for me. The problem I have is a very slight tension in the head right now which I feel when I switch my breathing from normal and focus on the qi. Obviously when you focus on this stuff your breathing deepens and there's what I call a widening of consciousness. Anyway I have nothing to go on right now so I'm going to do some standing exercise for the next few days starting right after I have a cup of tea!
  13. Looking for Advise on a Daily Practise

The thing is last night I had a very light tension headache and that was after I worked out I didn't have the leg channels open properly through not doing any standing practise. And I woke with the same slight headache. So I don't really know if I gave myself the headache because that's what I'm thinking, or because I'm actually doing something seriously wrong with the way I'm getting the energy. But, I'm just going to do moving yin and yang and not think about anything energetic -- just empty mind with some music on and wait for my legs to get tired. I've never actually done that before and didn't know standing practise makes the body tired. I thought if you're standing in one place you can do that all day long. The horse stance I had been doing was super wide -- quads parallel to the floor -- and wim hof quick fire breathing until my legs shake. which wasn't very long.

Because I don't know what I'm doing, I have zero experience and I think I'm drawing all the qi in through the top of my head so I need to not focus on qi while I open the leg channels and then change my thinking patterns to bring it up from the ground. Right now I think all the energy is coming from the top of my head and it's slowly building tension. So I have to not think about qi while I open the leg channels. Which is very difficult for me right now!
  15. Looking for Advise on a Daily Practise

I was laying flat on my back in bed reading a book about 6 weeks ago. I did some reverse breathing for about 3/4 minutes with 5 days celibate, and I haven't actually started mediating yet. That's what this thread is about. I accidentally activated my LDT without knowing anything about it AT ALL. 6 weeks later I can now project qi. I feel qi about 80% of my waking hours and only actively focus on it every so often. Like just now I'm trying NOT TO FOCUS ON IT but it's getting hotter and hotter in the LDT because it's on my mind.

I'm not reading Drew's blog tbh. I think he's great because I already agree with most of the things he says. He's on a similar trajectory to me and he's much more academic than me, so he's really helpful in that regard. I'm not a Drew follower or anything like that, I just knew instantly qigong would help further my personal development and I have my other internet friend for putting me on that path. He's pretty similar to Drew and he's a GREAT PHILOSOPHER although he doesn't have a big mouth. Generally all great philosophers never say exactly what they mean. Drew has a HUGE mouth, so I think that's great because it's helpful for me, and I have a big mouth too if I'm honest and really I think that's not really a good trait for a philosopher. Anyway, the problem I have is anytime I think about qi I've got into a thinking pattern which brings it in through the top of my head. I'm thinking about bringing it up from the ground and then when I feel some energy I instantly focus on it and start bringing it in through the top of my head again! So I need to change my thinking patterns concerning qi. I need to really still the mind and not focus on anything at all and think from the ground up without getting caught up with qi.

Anyway I totally screwed up because I've never done any standing practise so all the energy is coming in from the top of my head and not much from the ground. So my head is slowly starting to feel some tension. So if I don't do anything about it soon I won't be able to breathe into the heat without getting a headache and I won't have opened the lower channel to ease the pressure so I'll just have to go on long walks or something to clear things out. I'm going to do some really simple standing exercises just with a really clam mind and not focusing on chi even. Just going to lower the tension through my body while slowly opening up the leg channels. Does anyone have an opinion about that?
  18. Looking for Advise on a Daily Practise

I did 6 HOURS STRAIGHT meditation in my first 6 hours. Really I was asking how to stop meditating so the heat would go away! http://www.thedaobums.com/topic/43374-where-is-cultivated-chi-stored-and-how-do-you-get-it-there/ "REALLY HOT" "there's A LOT of energy in the lower mind" At that time I'd only read the first few pages of "The Alchemy of Sexual Energy" and I think that's where I was getting "lower mind" from. I LITERALLY HAD NO IDEA QI WAS EVEN SUPPOSED TO BE HOT BECAUSE I HADN'T READ ANYTHING ABOUT IT. So when I signed up for the forum I was thinking "WOW QIGONG IS NO JOKE. ALL THESE GUYS ON THE FORUM MUST HAVE GONE THROUGH THIS ON THEIR FIRST DAY TOO SO I'LL JUST ACT CASUAL ABOUT IT AND ONLY ASK WHERE I'M SUPPOSED TO STORE THIS STUFF -- TRY NOT TO LET ON THAT I'M A COMPLETE NOOB" I thought I'd probably made an error somewhere along the line and the heat was going to show me up and you guys had seen it all before. I have qi in the stomach right now without even having to try and mediate just by breathing normally into my chest. When I fix my focus on the heat I can focus exactly at the very place it's at and intensify the energy because I had practised non-dualism to a pretty high level before I started qigong.
  19. I think I got tension in my head from getting a little emotional earlier today and spending too much time on the computer. But say I have been drawing 90% of my energy through the top of my head and I start bringing it up from the ground do you think that is the correct way to fix the problem? Anyone? Anyway, I'm going to bed to get my beauty sleep and let my soul wander unleashed through the eternal qiscape.

Thanks. Drew's great because he actively hunts people down and tells them off for being patently wrong and then helps put them on the right path even though he knows 99 times out of 100 he won't be thanked for it. I mean I know what it's like, I posted somewhere else on the internet today for about the 100th time and my post just got deleted, no questions asked. Okay I'm the moron probably in that case for being so persistent. But, Drew is heroic because he always has a good sense of humour about things and I know he must get at least a little frustrated about it sometimes. Plus I've benefited from his posts so I have no problems taking his side at all!
  21. Please edit the video out. I wouldn't ask if someone else had started the thread because I'd just not browse it again. Anyway, I totally screwed up because I can feel tension starting to build up in my head. Only slightly, but I have to breathe in to my chest like a normal person right now otherwise I can slightly feel the tension at the crown of my head. It's partly because I got a little emotional watching that San video earlier too thinking WOW that's so beautiful so that's kind of why I have tension in my head, I think. I kind of got the sniffles LOL I need to stop browsing the internet too and read some more books instead.
  22. Literally I have to do shaking knee horse stance just from seeing the thumbnail. Seriously, I don't mean this in a nasty way at all, but you've got to edit your post and take it out. Porn I can probably browse more safely than that video for some reason. Since I got into qigong I got a thing for asian girls for some reason and I've watched that video about 3 times already in the past few weeks AND I'M TOTALLY TRIGGERED RIGHT NOW LMFAO.
  23. Yeah, I can't watch that video actually. I've seen it before and it upsets my jing energy lol

Don't leave me hanging like that? External qi projection and pulling out bad energy from people's bodies without even thinking about it? No heat when I did that. Just grabbed the energy from her leg and threw it away. Then I said to her I'll just bring up some heat and do it properly and that's when she said where I'd pulled out the "sick" energy her leg had turned white! So really perhaps I can't be even in a bad mood around people now in case it effects them negatively. I have to be nice all the time! Maybe that's why Chunyi Lin starts all his videos with "My Friends" lol otherwise we might have WWIII on our hands! Anyway, why don't you just say what you mean rather than talking all cryptically? I need all the help I can get!
  25. Right I'm doing Moving yin and yang twice a day. Once sometime in the morning and then before I go to bed. Does anyone have any tips that helped them getting the stance right?
