  1. Living at peace with society...

"You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect." - Matthew 5:48, ESV

  3. can I have a personal practice log?

So I see you're sticking around.
  4. Mainstream Media Corruption Exposed

Laws should be passed that prohibit clear bias in reporting, the spreading of any type of propaganda, or overwhelmingly inaccurate stories. Instead of "news media", we should only have journalism. Real information for the people. The advertising companies or other "powers that be" which pay for the various networks should not ever be able to dictate what is shown and what isn't. If a news corporation lies or hides some facts, they would be operating illegally, and be completely suspended from operation while they are on trial. If found guilty of breaking these laws, that network would never go on the air again, and each individual would be arrested if they attempted to enter the field of journalism again (in another network for instance). They would have to find another job, period...and new people would step up to the plate, and hopefully be more honest.
  5. Has TTB's had an effect on you?

A lot of good info is here to start our journeys and explorations. Best site on the internet? Maybe!
  6. Say something completely undisputable

    Jennifer Garner is boring.
  7. Ah, now I see what you said. Yep, best not to arm people that swore an oath to defend the Constitution against domestic enemies.
  8. I could understand their argument for police and military. Those people aren't really in a higher class...they are considered public servants (or government pawns) and are considered lower class. Their job typically requires firearms. But government workers? What a joke that woman is. If this country were run correctly, anyone attempting to infringe on a right that says "shall not be infringed" would be imprisoned for life, at the very least.
  9. Is Valley Spirit the femine aspect & Dao the male aspect?

Isn't it the opposite? With the taiji, the white is yang and the black is yin. And immortals are not called "pure yin", but "pure yang".
  10. ...

Well, my opinion is that there's no such thing as healthy or unhealthy. If a person eats a Snickers bar, at the right time in the right amount...that's actually a billion times healthier for them than eating a bunch of spinach at the wrong time.
  11. ...

    Not quiet enough.
  12. ...

I go by intuition, and tend towards moderation. All "this is healthy, this is unhealthy" advice is bullshit. The body knows if you would just shut up and listen.
  13. Changing the world

I agree. In fact, I don't think those two things are opposites...you can do both at once. This is the problem with conceptual thinking - it assumes that it'd be impossible to do both things in the same day. Take care of yourself. Take care of others.
  14. Changing the world

Once you are awake, and you have cultivated abundant virtue...what action do you take then?
  15. Kundalini/chi Insomnia

Don't have bright or unnatural lights for a few hours before you plan to go to bed. No laptop or tv...but if you do use those things, get blue light filters and you should be okay (I don't have these but plan to get them soon when I can afford it). Read some books maybe if you don't have those filters...stories are relaxing and good and can take you to another place (begin the dreaming process)...but on the other hand, nonfiction stuff you're passionate about may be too stimulating. Making plans will be way too stimulating at that time. Sleep with your windows covered in dark blinds so that absolutely no light comes in. Cover all electronic lights, so the room is completely pitch black. Don't have any caffeine, chocolate, or other stimulants past noon. Drink a lot of water...that will ensure that your body temperature is normal...too hot and you may find yourself being kept up. Use breathable cotton sheets. Taking a lukewarm bath might help cool the body off so that sleep is easier...hot or cold will have the opposite effect. Get a couple hours of exercise each day in the morning or afternoon...so that you will be tired. This one is very important. There are other tips online...go for public knowledge solutions rather than esoteric ones. Something like qi practice or meditation can at times make you sleepy, but other times make you wide awake for days! My experience has been that it's good to stop all spiritual practices, and take care of physical health first. Get mundane. Get sleep.
  16. kunlun maoshan travelling hand help.

Could never really get the damn thing to work.
  17. The War on Kids

To be spiritual is to overcome these things, not be hidden from them (until you reach adulthood, at which point you must deal with them anyway). My cousins were home-schooled, and they turned out somewhat fine...except that they have no qualifications or real work experience (not because of home-schooling, but probably because they didn't feel the same need as everyone else to go to college etc). They tend to not care so much about how they will get money or if they have enough...working small jobs like nanny or a farmers market. Besides that aspect, they actually have lived pretty cool lives.
  18. "Compassion means skillful action" - huh?

"If I ever become a Saint — I surely be one of "darkness". I will continually be absent from Heaven — to light the light of those in darkness on earth." - Mother Teresa
  19. Martin Luther King Jr

He was a giant that stood on the shoulders of giants. What are we in comparison?
  20. "Compassion means skillful action" - huh?

I like where you're going with that zerostao...what would be an example of more skillful action?
  21. "Compassion means skillful action" - huh?

You're accusing me of being uncompassionate? Why?
