You might not enjoy the results of intense heart focus, which can have a weakening effect on the body...so IMO it's good to ground afterward. As the Taoists say, keep the fire (awareness) under the water (kidneys/lower dantien). Then the steam rises and opens the heart anyway. Or exercise, and take a break from spirituality for a bit til you feel normal. Also, cultivating the qualities of the heart...generosity, compassion, mercy, gratitude, etc...doesn't have the same negative physical effect. Just some ideas for you to maybe work with.

Just noticed we got an occult subforum, any chance we could get a neigong/qigong subforum?
Aetherous replied to Thunder_Gooch's topic in General Discussion
I apologize, I'm voting against it...I think Taoist and General discussion forums are adequate. You want qigong to be listed along with neigong? People will be talking 8 brocades alongside mo pai. Makes no sense to me. -

Thoughts on Franz Bardon's System
Aetherous replied to thelerner's topic in Esoteric and Occult Discussion
Nope. Yea their articles are good...seemed to me like a pretty sweet school to be a part of. It could have been vsociety, but the website I saw (a few years back) was different than vsociety.net My apologies that I don't remember much more than the fact that it existed. -
Thoughts on Franz Bardon's System
Aetherous replied to thelerner's topic in Esoteric and Occult Discussion
I once heard (and saw a website) about personal instruction from higher level Bardon people, once you reach a certain level from doing it on your own. I think maybe after level 10, you were encouraged to get in contact with this other school. If anyone has the website I'm referring to, please share it. -
Christianity is not against Homosexuality or anything like that
Aetherous replied to Protector's topic in The Rabbit Hole
The discussion of hygiene doesn't apply solely to men. What about anal sex with women, which is a very straight thing to do? Are men's butts more contaminated than women's? Haha...I'd probably say the opposite is true, from my experience. What about vaginal infections and STDs from women (who tend to have more than men according to the CDC)? What about men who love each other, having other forms of sex such as oral, and never doing anal? That is just as hygienic as oral sex with women, right? So according to the hygiene angle, there would be NOTHING wrong with that. Also, those two studies wolf posted, appeared to me to have nothing whatsoever to do with homosexuals and hygiene. A discussion of sexual hygiene really doesn't belong in a topic about "Christianity is not against homosexuality"... -

That's why I edited my post completely. I'm not perfect by far and am still learning how to implement the path. I came off as much too preachy for my own liking. But what I said regarding everything is very accurate...you'd do well to study the Bible a lot more, rather than thinking you already know it. You didn't know the "blessed are the meek" paragraph, even? That is Christianity 101. Well, I do accept you...and I'm not just saying that. At least personally, a Buddhist idea influenced me in regard to this. Always seek the better choice, not necessarily what's purely right or wrong. In my view, it's better to get rid of homophobia (which is a harmful condition of the mind) than it is to get rid of gay people (which are human beings). I refuse to take the discussion with you further than this, and am reporting your most recent post as well, since it's once again against forum rules. -
That's pretty much describing Kunlun...and there are pictures (for those who believe they aren't photo-shopped or anything). I tend to think all legit practices lead to this. But man, when it's said the highest level of the old masters, that's for real. I personally don't actually understand this stuff enough to say as much as the tour guide in the video did...or really anything substantial at all.

I tried dex a few times way back in the day. Seemed dangerous to me with the way it affected my breathing and heart (just looked it up and people have died from taking too much)...and also not something I'd consider spiritual in its effects. For a similar effect IMO, that is safer...although not legal in most places...would be something like weed brownies. And if salvia is legal where you are, I suggest using that as a way to come to savor the sober state of mind. At least that was its effect on me. People sometimes use drugs to escape normalcy for a while...that's fine...but do you know how blissful normalcy can be? How great would it be to feel high when completely clear minded and capable? I can attest, it is possible. Spiritual practice greatly helps with this.

Christianity is not against Homosexuality or anything like that

Real Christianity is certainly not about judging other people's lives (do not judge, lest you be judged), or punishing them in any way about it. "Mercy triumphs over judgment". To judge accuse punish deceive etc, is the opposite path, anti-Christianity. Actual Christianity urges you to put yourself in another's shoes...to stand up for the widow, and the child who need your help. To give to your enemy. It says "blessed are the meek". It urges you to keep your faith to yourself, rather than broadcast it and use it as a way of being supreme over "sinners". Jesus hung out with "sinners" rather than the pious ones. You reap what you sow, and you're supposed to "resist not evil", or in other words to do your own thing and not call everything around you evil and try to obstruct the will of others...you're supposed to consider and treat your neighbor to an equal level that you consider and treat yourself. How many people are willing to give another person just as much if not more than they give themselves? When you donate to charity, sensible people are cautious to keep enough so they can get by and have things they want. Can the same be said about the people getting their charity, that they have more than enough and can have things they want? Probably not. So...the path is pretty damn awesome if implemented. edit: Oh yeah... "There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love." - 1 John 4:18 -

What's your drug? Real tobacco is considered the main "medicine" of many groups. It has a great energy. Order some of the real stuff from fur and hide, and tune into it. I have experienced a practice of chewing the raw leaf for a while, which is stimulating and might help activate the higher centers. Or some simply smudge the smoke around yourself...besides smoking with a ceremonial pipe. Or simply hold it in your hands with respect.
