Apparently it was too much to ask, when you take any argument that differs from yours as a personal attack. What's the point of a discussion then? This thread is fucking ONE SIDED. And you're right, there was no need for this whatsoever. You could have acted reasonably from the start, instead of going "arggh" and taking everything personally... When really, if you actually listened, you could be on your way to revolutionizing world medicine. But nah...you don't want to do any work. You want someone to knock on your door and offer...rather than you knocking on their doors. Excuses abound as to why you haven't done this. Anyway...yeah. No point in continuing with you. Reading this now is like bashing my perfectly formed head against a brick wall. wtf is with you today?
-
Oh, and all discussion about how real medicine sucks is welcomed! But of course, I'm complementary medicine.
-
Lets not make it a personal thread...lets just discuss how medical qigong should be considered world medicine, when I do medical qigong with a 100% success rate.... Yeah fucking right dude.
-
It's not MY standard...it's modern medicine's standard for evidence based practice. If I had the ability and know how, I'd take you up on that offer. Studies don't cost that much, by the way. Done here. Thanks. edit: By the way, Ya Mu...today you have formed another enemy, with your attitude. Good job!
-
Not what I meant by "published". I already purchased your book. I meant in a peer reviewed journal...so the scientific community could be exposed to a therapy that might have close to a 100% success rate. Don't know why what I'm saying hasn't been clear to you in here...but whatever.
-
Why so fucking obstinate, Ya Mu? I don't stand in opposition to you at all. CHILL. Where is your medical qigong published exactly?
-
Your medical qigong is published? Legitimately? If not...I say you should be looking for someone to publish your work. ... Alright dudes...that's enough from me. I've said my piece, and I'll only just keep repeating it if I engage you guys in discussion. Silencio!
-
I disagree entirely...and it's unfortunate that this sort of discussion leads people to saying such things.
-
I don't wish to turn it into a personal argument at all. Please don't get uptight about me wishing you would get your work published.
-
Yup...that's what everyone is aiming for.
-
By the way...real medicine fixes itself, and adjusts for truth. That's why you have the info that you do on all of those drugs. Work with the system (which is world medicine)...if your therapy doesn't fit in, you're either not trying hard enough, or it's not effective enough. According to you, it is effective enough. Great. Arguing with me on here about how good or bad real medicine is, isn't going to get you in contact with someone who is willing to publish your work.
-
Western medicine is not Western versus Eastern. It's evidence based practice, versus not. Why can't you prove what you do? People in many other countries, such as Japan, China, Germany, whatever...all publish studies on medicine.
-
But attempting to put evidence based practice (western medicine, which IS "world medicine") beneath your unproven system of medicine...well, that won't be taken seriously by most people. And it may lead some to thinking that this is an alternative medicine. "I don't need western medicine, I've got WORLD medicine".
-
Cinnamon was studied...exercise has been studied... It is possible to find a scientist that's willing to work with you. If your therapy actually has near 100% efficacy, then (I don't mean to put pressure on anyone) it's your DUTY to spread that knowledge and ability to the rest of the world.
-
Well, Western medicine has become world medicine. It's what is accepted by the medical community worldwide. In order for complementary therapies to be taken more seriously, they need to be effective...and then studied. Only then can they fit into this paradigm.

US Presidential Debate and what is really important to people

Heh...but seriously, they should study it and publish the results. Since that is the sole way that medical advice is considered legitimate. For instance, they've studied the effects of cinnamon on insulin sensitivity, and that spice is now recommended to people by doctors for possibly controlling type II diabetes...Western medicine is not unreasonable. If something really works, eventually it will be studied. Nothing wrong with using complementary stuff in the meantime, too.

Apparently people saw something wrong with this thread and felt the need to make someone feel shitty. Nice...
-
Yea it does really just have one function. Out of the blue, someone will be notified that they don't owe a portion (or maybe all) of their debt.
-
Not sure what you mean here. (will check out the stoic book!)

How do you think that article relates to Rolling Jubilee, Serene? Another article on RJ. edit: Also, I had no idea that the Stoic book had practices. I've been eyeing it up for some time now...pretty good?

What to wear on my feet while cultivating?

Yeah, I agree. Just an example, and it may not represent all people who practice on bare ground for years. -

Well some of the yogis/ancient masters prefered kusha grass, then a fur, then a rug to practice on... Bg. 6.11 - In a clean and pure spot, having established a firm seat for himself, neither too high nor too low, with cloth, skin and Kusa grass thereon. Bg. 6-12 - There making the mind one-pointed, with the actions of the mind and the senses controlled, seated on that seat, (Yogi should) practice Yoga for the purification of the self (mind). -Bhagavad Gita This dude is elevated above the earth. And what the Chinese were up to.
