  1. How exactly do I lift my testes?

From what I've learned...the way to begin is with gently contracting the anal sphincter. Indians call this ashwini mudra...and Taoists sometimes call this the lower magpie bridge (the upper magpie bridge is the tongue touching the roof of the mouth mudra...both of these mudras help to connect the front and back channels). When this muscle is contracted, it will pull open the perineum point. After that is mastered, you can move on to lifting or contracting the entire pelvic floor, which will include the perineum muscle. This will cause the genitals to visibly shrink inward (if you're looking at it, which would be weird). The testes are barely lifted visibly (once again, why are you looking, lol), so to tell someone to lift their testes up is kind of misleading advice. And then you can progress to attempting to pull the pubic bone (which is slightly above the genitals) back inward toward your spine, in addition to everything else. Of course, after that is pulling the navel in towards the spine...the uddiyana bandha in yogic terms. Taoists use this one in reverse breathing, on the inhales. I don't think there are any exact rules here, this is just how I view the progression. Edit: Also, it's important to have a personal teacher with Taoist alchemy and similar types of methods. I take no responsibility for any harm that comes to you from practicing these things. They can have a powerful subtle effect and potentially destabilize you.
  2. New member here

Cool...very orderly and disciplined. Welcome to the forum!
  3. I'm not really interested in this discussion, or arguing on one side of it. But what are the sources for that? Are there any other animals which we have close DNA to? I remember hearing about one that seemed completely off the wall...
  4. Well...like scientists found that 'Lucy' skeleton...a few others. But then I heard that they weren't credible as missing links, but were just anomalies or whatever. Heh, clearly I'm not invested enough in the subject to speak intelligently. If you have some good proof, I'd love to see it. I'm open to truth.
  5. Nah just kidding around. edit: I do like the general idea though...anything is up for grabs as to how human beings originated. It's somewhat of a mystery, and I think it's more plausible that we were created somehow rather than evolved from apes or whatever else. Last I checked, there's no proof of a "missing link".
  6. The extinction of the dinosaurs were because of the first omnivore cromagnons...they had enough and decided to fight back and get some real food. Brontosaurus burgers. Then the annunaki saw this, were impressed with the fortitude of these beings, as well as the meals, so they came down and spliced some genes...and here we are. The best cooks in the galaxy.

  8. I'm not personally to the point where I'd report him to any authorities, yet...but at least in the US, this past year has seen a few attempted mass killings. I think that the FBI would be quite interested to get a heads up on someone who might be like that. Ranting on the internet is one thing. Delusions of grandeur is another thing. Mixing in religious righteousness is something else...a person who does these things is pretty common. But when that person starts talking violent, as tulku/SL has, mixed with all of the other things...then it's probably getting time to start mentioning something. I'm just holding off to see if he keeps up the violent talk.
  9. Well, myself and many others have been drinking milk for our entire lives, and are very healthy. At least personally, I prefer to keep the pseudoscience to a minimum...so that unknowing readers will not be led towards malnutrition.
  10. Not that I want to discuss this...but about the Bible verses all saying 'don't eat blood'...that's precisely what it means. Those verses aren't promoting vegetarianism. Just get your burger medium well, if you wish to follow those verses. A few of the other verses do promote vegetarianism...and I think it's great if you are changing your diet because you feel bad for the animals, or because you're trying to be right. But that is definitely not the Christian of Judaic point of view.
  11. I'm not an expert, but I don't think that will be the only nutrient lacking in a typical vegan diet. Another thing is omega 3s, for instance, which are very important for health. Just stumbled upon this article, which is probably somewhat reliable: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/vegetarian-diet/HQ01596/NSECTIONGROUP=2 Totally agree...we really don't need that much. Anywhere from 10-35% of your macronutrients should be protein...10% is not much. If you eat too much protein, it stresses the liver and kidneys, makes you dehydrated, etc. Too little and of course it's also not good.
  12. LOL...first time I've heard that. I think on Dec 22nd, I'll wonder what the Judge meant.
  13. I would not put it like that, when you need to supplement in order to complete your diet. But yeah it's true, vegetarians/vegans/etc can do just as well as anyone else by being careful and adding some things. Listen to the professionals (dieticians, nutritionists, read peer reviewed studies, etc) if you are doing it.
  14. Yes perhaps...I didn't post it to convince people of that religion. I just think it's a valid point that if you're pointing fingers, calling people murderers and guilty, it's not like you're innocent when you do that. Far from it. It's best, for the sake of your heart, not to do that. To just take it easy, accept people, try to help them, be friendly, etc. This is more like a spiritual path. Also, my personal view is to follow science (and what might be our inherent design, or else our evolved design) in what is good or bad for us. Dieticians say that eating some meat is good, especially fish...eating too much can be bad for health. Eating no meat is against how we're designed, because you have to take brewer's yeast to make up for the lack of vitamin B12...and take other things to make up for other nutrients. But you can make it work, and survive as a vegan if you want. I've seen videos of how animals are sometimes killed for our meat, and have been disgusted. I think it should be as ethical as possible...rather than trying to say we should all stop eating meat completely. That's unrealistic.
  15. Judging or condemning people for whatever reason, is also something that makes us less innocent. Probably even more so than eating some mcnuggets...
  16. Words marked. Can we throw you an "I'm wrong" party on Dec 22nd?

  18. Reiki

As mentioned on the first page of the thread, I really like jin shin jyutsu. They approach the microcosmic orbit (and corresponding chakras/central channel) in quite a unique way...saying that a chakra will be closed if it's one of the side channels that is blocked. So they have direct ways of opening the body on the side, in the front or the back (supervisors...they supervise the central flow by blocking if stress occurs). Then direct ways to balance the two sides (diagonal mediators...they mediate the supervisors that can get blocked). Of course, a direct way to open up the front channel and increase energy (main central flow). Then there are all sorts of different methods, like organ flows, based on what the individual needs. There is a set of mudras that can accomplish everything...and you can simply hold specific fingers or toes to achieve the effect you want. Me likey. Edit: Oh yeah, also like craniosacral a lot. So deeply relaxing. Tried Bowenwork once...it seemed to be quite good. It's like the therapist strums your musculature in different areas...really unique.
  19. Reiki

Yup they definitely do. Here is a French man who completed the training (I think).

Nice, man...thanks for sharing them. Is there a source (like a book) that you found them in?

    Good. Totally just playing around.
  24. Reiki

Shugendo has its own methods of healing, some of which can be seen in the documentary, Shugendo Now. I'm sure they could do something like reiki, but how do you know that it's part of their training? This is the only real source of that information in a book or online, that I'm aware of. Coming from a Shingon perspective, which is closely related. If you're going to learn Shugendo for real, you have to go to Japan and walk the mountains for years and pass all sorts of tests. The next closest thing in terms of similar training would be Tendai, in the USA, or Japan.
  25. Question on karma

It's very common for moms to piss off their children. I don't know if they do it consciously so much...but when you're being challenged, it means that you're growing. Recognize that it's a fact of life...let the feelings wash over you rather than fighting them...stand your ground and don't be her doormat...leave the nest so that you let her know you're done growing. lol
